Since pre-menopause I sweat more under my boobs, bikini line and butt crack. So I tried Lume cream. It smelled awful coming out of the tube. The smell disappears quickly when you put it on tho. It worked great, absolutely no sweat smell at all. BUT about the third day I had a reaction to it that looked like chemical burns everywhere I had put it. Stopped using it and sent back for refund. Took almost two weeks to heal cause I couldn’t keep those areas dry. It was awful. Oh boy, I'm so sorry to read that. It must have been awful to have to heal there!

I haven't breastfed babies in almost 3 years and every now and then my underboob sweat smells like sour milk. WTF is up with that?! That's the smell I get, too, and I haven't breastfed any babies for 20 years. I first noticed it after I had my youngest son and was breastfeeding. But I don’t think it was milk. Probably something hormonal. I could smell it on me easily. Now I sometimes still get that smell but milder. I can smell it on my bras.

As I hit my late 40's under boob sweat became a problem for me. I just use a spritz of regular spray deodorant there and no bad smells all day. I have underboob sweat, but it has never smelled. I have 36G breasts and I call it swamp boob. There is definitely a smell.

I bought some Lume a few years ago but didn't like how it smelled so haven't used it much. I think they changed the formula, though. I just bought some of the Mando products for my 18 year old son a few weeks ago. He is in college so I am not sure how they are working for him. He, like me and my mom, seem to be prone to smelling very quickly and he is very sensitive about it. He showers three times a day and it was driving me crazy. He showers before going to the gym, after the gym, and then again later in the evening. He has eczema and it was irritating his skin and he uses so much water and products. But he is paranoid about smelling. I think someone said something to or about him in HS and he hasn't gotten past that. I also suggested that he use it on his feet to try to keep his cleats from smelling. I think the name for Mando comes in part because mandelic acid is the main ingredient. It also is not an antiperspirant, just kills the bacteria that causes the odor. Buy men’s Right Guard deodorant spray and spray directly into his cleats each day. My dad has the worst smelling feet and he’s done this for years with his work boots. Works great!

In the heat of summer too! I ended up tucking paper towels under my bra line/ bikini line and changing them often and using diaper rash cream to dry it up.

I haven't breastfed babies in almost 3 years and every now and then my underboob sweat smells like sour milk. WTF is up with that?! I hate Lume for my pits because while it helps me not smell, I still feel wet and sticky there. I've never tried the stick, though. That’s because it’s only a deodorant and not an antiperspirant. The stick is also only a deodorant. I hate that swampy sweaty feeling! The only antiperspirant that really works for keeping my pits dry is Mitchum Men’s unscented roll on. It goes on wet because it’s a roll on but once it’s dry I stay dry.

I've never heard of that.
Personally, I think that if you NEED to use "whole body" deodorant to cover or mask smells, then a shower or bath is needed. If you smell funky....no amount of deodorant, powder, body spray, dry shampoo, etc... is going to make the funky smell go completely away. Whatever is used to disguise or cover up the funky smell, simply mixes with whatever scented product....and then you smell like a mix of funky body odor and scented stuff.
If one needs to simply get clean.....a shower can be taken very quickly >> get wet, face wash and soap or body wash, then rinse, then get out....can be done in less than two-three minutes. No hair washing or leg shaving. With hair washing, it could be done in less than five minutes. Speed showering is not always ideal, but it can be done if necessary. I've done it myself, when I've overslept. A really quick shower, is better than no shower.

My husband sweats and does not smell as bad as I do. . If I had to shower to not have underboob stench, I would have to shower 3 times a day. Thats just wasteful.

That's all fine and cool for some people, but some of us may spend hours on a hot soccer or tball field, or get sweaty on the way to work and have to be at work all day. It's not feasible to shower every hour in Houston. Do you use armpit deodorant?

The fact that the creator of Lume claims to be a GYN and is yet created something that no GYN would recommend you put on your "delicate areas" is a red flag for me. I agree, shower daily and wash your nooks and crannies. There is no need for whole body deodorant. So not a fan of Lume. The commercials drive me nuts (and I can NOT stand the name Mando) and you're right, my GYN said not to use in 'delicate areas'. I'll admit, I tried the deodorant. Does NOT last 24 hours for me. My normal deodorant is better. The body wash is meh. I haven’t seen the commercials, lucky me! But the deodorant works better for me than even regular deodorants, and does last at least a couple days. I had had odor issues that my long term deodorant didn’t help, and was still there after a shower, even when I exfoliated, shaved, washed super well and even resorted to trying baking soda. It was mortifying. I finally realized it was likely due to my blood glucose levels. In the meantime, Lume worked. But, it irritated my skin so something to be aware of.

My friend asked seriously if you were supposed to roll it on your delicate/private parts and then use the same application on other parts of your body. Ick. The commercials bug me so I haven’t paid very close attention to them but I thought I saw it was a lotion so I would guess you would use your hands to apply…but that is pure speculation. I mean, if you use it straight out of the shower your parts would be completely clean. And even when they’re not, we do other things with those same parts, and involve others, that are a lot more intimate. Even not straight from the shower so 🤷🏻♀️. But they have both a deodorant stick for under your arms, and one you apply like a lotion for your body. I got the one you apply like a lotion and used it under my arms. Don’t know if it works for the body.

Same issue and I’ve never breastfed or even gotten to the point in a pregnancy where I produced milk. I agree that it’s probably hormonal, mine have always been messed up. Living in South Central Texas it always amazed me when, especially during the summers, I’d read about only washing your bra every 3rd wear or something. I think not.

I imagine everyone knows how to have a quick shower when it’s possible but the point is that the need doesn’t always arise when you’re at home or somewhere where this shower is possible.

A couple of years ago I noticed that the deodorant I’d been using for years wasn’t doing the job any longer. Despite daily showers my pits were stinky at the end of the day. After trying a couple of deodorants advertised as clinical strength that didn’t work any better, I decided to try Lume and haven’t looked back. It works great for me. I use the solid stick, mainly on my armpits but occasionally on other (external) areas as well.

If you’re dealing with odour, a benzoyl peroxide wash can help because it kills the bacteria that causes the odour. I haven’t tried this myself but it was recommended by Dr. Dray, a dermatologist I follow on Instagram. It’s good for feet and pits and underboob but not more sensitive body parts.

If you don't want to use a deodorant under your breasts you can get cotton liners that sit under your bra. I haven't used them just seen them on Amazon, thought they were good to know about. They also advertised the same type of thing for under the stomach.

I love the Lume body deodorant. When i first started using it years ago, it did have a little weird odor right after it was applied that went away as soon as it "dried"
It does work very well on body funk. It is weird to smell NOTHING! LOL
LADY PARTS: For those worried about putting it on lady parts, it goes on the outside, just a very small amount. I am not a fat free woman so my parts probably don't get as much air as some. LOL! It's not like you stick it in hour hoo-haa. Just all of the folds and creases. I haven't ever had a PH problem or anything like that. Just odors are non existent. It works amazing to keep you odor free even when sweating ALOT! I do shower every day, but some days are just stinkier than others!
ARM PITS: I loved using it on my arm pits until i realized it wqasn't an antiperspirant! it works so good against BO. But once warmer weather came, I couldn't stand the sweat! It didn't stink a bit but wet pits are not my thing.
UNDERBOOBS: I sweat here alot. Year round. Again, not much air gets to that part due to breast size. LOL I tried to use the Lume there and it made me break out. No stink though which was awesome. I hate that I can't use it there. I may give it another try.
FEET: OMG - I have the stinkiest feet on the planet! They are bad. Really bad. Clean socks and feet each day. I also put spray and powder in my shoes. I put the Lume on my feet and there is NO FUNK. It is crazy to be able to take your shoes off somewhere and not worry about offending people! LOL
So yes, I do like Lume!

In the summer I like to put a swipe of deodorant in my cleavage area and I had the same kind of reaction to Lume others mentioned--my skin peeled and it took awhile for it to heal. Plus, I was using a stick deodorant from them, and I hated the consistency of it.
Then, I forget the name of another one I tried, but it was the opposite---it was so solid it felt like no product was actually being left on my skin. It was all natural and I found it at Target---I think it had something about Mothers in the name?

I use Zeasorb powder for boob sweat, never any odor and no issues with yeast. I would be afraid to use Lume since I have a lot of skin reactions to even the most pedestrian things.

No, don’t seem to need it. It might be useful for some teens, I guess? I know that when I was young I had to be vigilant about applying a strong deodorant, and still got pit stains. I don’t perspire nearly as much now.

I've heard that before! Makes me laugh! (And I definitly have it too!) OMG, in the summer it’s HORRIBLE. I hate it when DH has some grand plan for doing outside work at the lake cabin because that almost guarantees that it will be 95° with 80% humidity, which guarantees that I’m going to need multiple changes of underwear just to survive the day’s activities. Swamp ass and swamp boob are definitely a thing. 🥵
