What kind of trays do you use to organize your pieces? Does anyone use a puzzle table?

We just use lightweight cookie sheets. The ones with sides so that we don't have to worry about them slipping off, LOL. We have six- all the same size so that they stack nicely. We only use four of them for a 1000 piece puzzle, but use all six when we do a 1500 or 2000 piece.
And we just use our dining room table for puzzling. A 3x3 foot piece of backing board for working the puzzle itself and then the six cookie sheets.. makes it easy to move off the table if needed. (We only need to the few times a year that we have guests as we always eat in front of the TV when it's just us.)

I just have a stack of cheap Sort and Go trays. I don’t have a table. Our dining table seats ten, so I just do puzzles at one end when I am in the mood. My real problem is that my cats enjoy ruining puzzles in progress—I should probably put a mat over them or something.

Maybe I can find some at a dollar store that are light weight..

I use a puzzle board like this one. It’s great although one cat does think it’s another bed for him. It has a number of extra boards and I spread the puzzle over them as I sort it but it’s easy enough to fold them away mid-puzzle and store somewhere else.

DH bought a set of stacking trays. I think it makes it too chaotic. I prefer the boxes and the pieces laying around the table. Easier to peruse.
As for the table, it is an antique from DH’s grandmother. The size of the puzzle determines how many leaves are in the table. The table is used for crafting, sewing, eating, folding clothes (It’s just off the laundry room.), homework, anything and everything really.

I have a bazillion stack & sort trays. And 4 puzzle portfolio cases so that I can just close them up and carry them to wherever I want to do the puzzle. Puzzle board

I just keep a table open with the puzzle on it in our Texas room. This way whoever comes can work on it if they like. I started doing this because my 85 year old mother loves working on puzzles and when she comes to visit she can work on it. She also keeps an open table in her bedroom so she can always have her puzzle available for her to work on.

We use a set of stacking trays I found on Amazon. Our puzzle is created on a card table.

I have a similar puzzle board to gillyp. I love it, because it has 2 removable boards that you can use to sort pieces.

I got one of the spinning boards for DH for Christmas a few years ago. We love it, but it’s big and doesn’t move easily.
For sorting, I bought a bunch of shallow plastic jeweler’s trays that stack. They were super cheap, like $1.50 each.
I’m working on a puzzle that’s from the Dr. Who Van Gogh episode. It’s very cute.

i just this morning ordered a 4' x 2' foldable table with adjustable leg heights. i will use it over the chaise portion of my couch. also, my sister and i have been buying the cute little test tube puzzles with tiny pieces. put together they are only 4x6". they're cute and fun and don't take up much room.

I have some boxes(6) from puzzles that I've Mod-Podged, we sort into those. We work puzzles on an old self-healing mat (it's old, 36 x 30, and I've taped it with clear packing tape in areas that are cracked) for the 1000 piece puzzles-works great and can move puzzle if needed. For larger puzzles, I put one of my larger mats (40 x 60) over the table to work on the puzzle. I like using the gridded mats to orient the puzzles, and can move them from the table if needed.

I use small plastic containers from the dollar store that I can snap lids on if I want. They also stack. I use a large piece of foamboard to make the puzzle on. I put it on a TV table because I like to puzzle in the living room and don't like doing it on the kitchen table. I have one for 1000-1500 piece puzzles and a larger one for 2000 pieces.

I have this puzzle table My go-to puzzle is 1000 pieces, but I bought the bigger table because some of the White Mountain 1000 piece puzzles are pretty large and wouldn't have fit on the smaller table when finished. It has 6 drawers, 4 large and 2 small. These, plus the cover, are key to my sanity with a cat in the house. I use the puzzle table on top of a card table.
