Anyone have menu ideas to share? Teen ds wants burgers and I’ll make Kansas City BBQ corn but not really sure what else. Usually do something for each team but not sure what food represents the 49ers. 😬

For how many people? I don't know what represents each team either, but I will be doing lots of appetizers. I'll be in the Florida Keys with a group of 10. Pigs in a blanket, charcuterie platter, taco dip and chips, bbq meatballs and veggies and dip.

watching this thread - we're not football people really but plan to do a heavy appetiser spread whether we watch or not.

We have 8 people plus three littles (we are not including them in the mix for food)
We are ordering some wings from our favorite little restaurants in town
Someone is bringing: pasta salad chicken bake (we have no idea what this is..lol)
Tacos (authentic Mexican tacos, kinda like street tacos)
I'm bringing Chocolate sheet cake (by request) PW Verison Mozzarella sticks Potato Skins Buffalo Chicken dip (by request)
Then my DD FIL will probably bring something but not sure what. He's a good cook!!

Or crab something? Maybe crab cakes?

We just do whatever appetizers we are feeling like. This year will be up in the air as ds has a stomach virus and dh and I are praying we dont get it. We have a bunch of frozen appetizers that we can make if we are not sick.

Nothing to represent the teams just pulling some from whatever is in the freezer. Just the three of us though. We usually make a bunch of appetizers, boneless wings, mini quiche, meatballs, tortilla chips and a dip and I picked up some steamed buns at Costco. I’ll probably bake some potatoes for loaded potatoes. I have made bacon wrapped peppers in the past east and good.

This has nothing to do with either team, but I am excited to make these Monte Cristo Pinwheels with puff pastry dough. It's my favorite sandwich, but I have never attempted to try them at home because they just look too complicated. But these pinwheels look like something I can handle LOL.

Hate me if you must, but I am in charge of the superbowl meal, and (1) I don’t really cook and (2) I don’t care about football but (3) I do have a rooting interest. Thus, this is our menu:
This is Why We Can’t Have Nice Wings (Buffalo wings) Pigs in a Cardigan (pigs in a blanket) (Baby)back to December (baby back ribs) Only Rumors of my Chips and Thighs (chips) Evers’mores End Game (cookies, although I don’t know that I am up for baking the chai ones) My Beers Ricochet
I haven’t come up with a song for the guacamole, taking suggestions.

We're ordering in BBQ and I may make my 7 layer dip if I'm feeling up for it - It's my daughter's favorite so kind of hard when I know she's not here.

Possibly cheesy corn. It sounds nasty, but it's amazing. From JackStack's website: It doesn't get more craveable than this: Jack Stack's Cheesy Corn Bake is bubbly, velvety, and unforgettable. Four gourmet cheeses are blended with whole-kernel corn and slivers of our hickory-smoked ham to create one of our most popular side dishes.

pin.it/7gOYhQ442pin.it/7fHTAQhEvI use a combination of a few recipes. Not sure if this link will work. Basically it’s a cheese corn casserole, that shouldn’t be good but with bacon and ham it has a smokiness that’s really good. The internet says it originated at a KC BBQ joint, Jack Stack’s. If I have leftovers I use it as a base to make a corn chowder of some sort (kielbosa, shrimp, chicken etc). The crab/sourdough ideas are great thanks!

I'm doing the ham & cheese sliders that you make with Kings Hawaiian rolls. Chips & dip Artichoke & Spinach dip & tortilla chips
And for "dessert", monkey bread.
It's just SO & I so that is plenty for us!

We always have chili. There will also be Fritos, so topping or scooping for the chili as well as other dips.
Will also have rum punch.

I think we have a menu after taking suggestions from the family - we're not football people but we do like fun food
egg salad (egg mayo) tea sandwiches a platter with raw veg, cheese, and either grapes or strawberries (depending on what looks more appealing at the store) those little sausages wrapped with crescent dough chips air fryer pearl onions creamy bacon and cheese dip sliders (burger) cookies (tbd)

It's just the two of us, so we'll probably do some nachos in the air fryer, and either blue cheese and onion or swiss and mushroom burgers, with either fries or onion rings as the side (tomorrow's dinner will determine Sunday's burger/side combo).
