It's weird. My stbx husband and I are on the same account for now, his phone hasn't worked today, mine is fine. (My phone is an iPhone, his is Samsung) My adult son, not on our account, his phone is not working either. He also does not have an iPhone but has a Samsung phone. I've been able to make calls, text etc to some people but not others.

It wasn't just ATT. T Mobile and Verizon were also affected, though not as deeply.
My DH and I both have the same type phone ( IPhone 14) and are on the same plan. I was affected, he was not.
I could text but not make or recieve calls. It is now working fine.

From reading the article, it looks like they aren't sure if it was a cyberattack but are still investigating.

A woman in exercise class this morning was complaining about her phone and internet being out. She has AT&T. We don't have it fortunately.

From reading the article, it looks like they aren't sure if it was a cyberattack but are still investigating. I saw it got changed but the LA title didn't. So I updated my title |

Verizon and T Mobile were also affected, though not as deeply. I heard they were only affected if they tried to call someone who has AT&T. |

my son works on the phone all day.. he is working from home today and can't do any calls or research.. so is doing chores and will work on saturday.

2 of 4 phones on our plan didn’t work until about noon today. 3 of the phones are identical iPhones the 4th is 2 generations newer.

We were. Our service came back around 2PM central time zone. I still cling to a land line and had just about convinced myself to drop it when this happened. We have ATT for cell service and some other carrier for internet and the land line. One sister (in Texas) has Tmobile but she was not affected.
I wondered if a communication satellite had trouble, I also wondered it it were a cyber attack (trial run). It could also be an employee flipped the wrong switch in that huge room with wires going everywhere.

I was affected.
This morning I could still text people and receive texts from those who had apple phones, but not android.
Then it came back on, but only for a few minutes.
Then it came back on for about 20 minutes and was gone again.
After that time I couldn't call or text anyone, regardless of Apple or Android.
But ever since about 11:30am CST it's been ok.
I just now at 4:30pm CST had a flurry of texts come through that were sent this morning.
It was nice at first and then it freaked me out.
Now I hear of escribing not working with some pharmacies.

Our family plan (me and the kids) are TMobile. DH work phone is AT&T. We were all good.
My understanding was that the only time a Verizon or TMobile had issues were when calling an AT&T customer.
I also heard possible impact from a sun flare that happened last week.

I didn’t have service at home this morning but it was working on Wi-Fi. When I got to work I had service (no Wi-Fi). Now at home again and I have one bar showing.

I was out a good chunk of the day yesterday. It was a pain, as I was trying to upload tax documents and could not complete the 2 factor authentication.
My internet was not affected, just phone service.

We have 2 ATT accounts. One with a single (Zfold) phone wasn't working, and the other has 2 iPhones (1 didn't work) and an Android (worked.) It was so random.
I called DH and told him the purge was starting since no one could call 911.
