This weekend my 12 year corgi, Gus stopped eating, he hasn't peed and won't stand up. We just lost our Maisie Moo 16 days ago. Gus has an appointment this afternoon. I am so scared! He is my first corgi and was a rescue. We have had him for 8 years. He is my velcro dog.
This year is not going well.
UPDATE: The vet said that he tweaked his back but there is nothing broken, and he has feeling in hind legs. They gave him some steroids and pain medicine. Hopefully he will eat when he is not hurting so much. If it doesn't improve, we might have to think about putting him to sleep. He also a pretty advance stage of arthritis too.

I’m so sorry. Losing a pet is an inevitability, but something that is so hard to face. I have loved and lost many pets over the course of my life, but it never gets any easier. I am hoping for the best for you.

Hoping you get some answers today for your pup and that he’s able to recover from whatever is ailing him. I can’t even imagine losing two so close together!

Oh no! Sending lots of love, good vibes and positive vibes for Gus.
I lost 2 of my 3 dogs 5 weeks apart last summer. One was my doggie soulmate. It’s been so hard. I’ve not recovered from that loss.
Hoping you have positive hopeful news.

Corgis and their backs! Hope your guy gets to feeling all better soon. Velcro dog? Mine go from me to my husband depending on who is going to feed/walk them next. They have a routine and stick to it!

Before you go the putting down route, try cold laser therapy. When my maltipoo (13) did that (several times) we did the cold laser treatments and they worked really well.

I'm really sorry you are having to deal with this. It really sucks when our furbabies get sick. It's such a helpless feeling. I hope things work out. Have you tried Beransa for his back? We have found this to be a miracle for one of our dogs with her arthritis, where nothing else seemed to work.
We are also going through the possibility of losing our cat who was ill early January and now can't use her left side at all. She has feeling, just can't walk, stand etc. It's a complete mystery as to what is wrong with her. Our dog also has a hermangiosarcoma, diagnosed January 25 so it's currently day by day with her. I agree it has been an awful year.
