My favorites are personal stories from the Ps. Life experiences. I also enjoy the book threads, travel, and advice threads.
Least favs-definitely the games thread. It takes up most of the front page of the board sometimes, and I think people just do it out of boredom because the board has been so slow! I do read the politics ones, and sometimes participate. I know the board is mainly liberal, but I also like to throw in the conservative thinking due to where I live, and people I am around just to spark conversation.

We only got to pick one? I like most of these. I typically don't read ones that are asking advice about children or something medical I know nothing about. Though I do think many of the medical ones are helpful and I'm glad they are searchable for future reference. I get terribly seasick so I will skip anything to do with a cruise. A good variety of posts is what makes it so interesting.
There is also just plain current events. I often find out what is happening in the world here first before I see it on a news site.

I despise politics and games posts. Dinner posts are never read by me either.
I will read cultural posts, organizing, travel, real estate and breaking news.

I considered it but decided a 50:50 answer would make for a pretty dull discussion I suspect you are severely underestimating the peas! That sounds like a good one to go off the rails! Those are the threads where I see the title and pass by it then hours later I see it again and it’s a seven pager and I hoof it into that thread so fast to see how we peas could have possibly made drama out of it. Never disappoints. 😂

I always find the weird work situations interesting. Love hearing about other people's family life too. We are all so different and have such interesting stories to share.
All time favorite thread was the reupholstering of the chair. In-law stories always make for a good thread.

Reading/Movies and TV are some of my favorites along with food but I could only vote for one. This! I start my day with the Dinner Thread which covers just about everything EXCEPT politics! Love the weekly reading threads, the movie/TV threads, the Birthday thread and the sports threads.

I had to pick "other" also. My favorites are the reading thread, the organizing thread, the "how do you pronounce this" threads (because I love reading how it's different around the world), the teacher check-ins, and anything about religion and faith.
The "would you eat this" ones are fun also. And the weird houses on Zillow. And any thread when someone is planning a trip to DC...I like to see if I can contribute something to that.
So clearly I'm incapable of picking a favorite. haha

Never disappoints. 😂 Lol. Same. There have been times when I'd see a thread with a totally tame title -- "I made the BEST chicken casserole last night!" -- then I leave for work, come home, sit down and find it's up to 8 pages. I usually read the last page first where I'll find something like "WHAT? How could you even say that about road maintenance workers? ? ?!!" lol. So of course I need to commit some time to reading the whole thing to see how we got from a delicious chicken dinner to road maintenance.

I enjoy WWTPD and the reading threads. I also enjoy the good-news-type threads. The game threads are the most annoying ones on here, and they add absolutely nothing to the board. I think there is a relatively small number of posters who post frequently on them, and manage to keep them on the front page. Is there anyone who would really want to keep them if we were able to stage a coup and demand their removal?! 🤞🏼😄

I enjoy reading what's going on in everyone's lives and the threads where people share favorite items (especially love the ones with links).

Librarylady's posts are the ones that seem to attract me these days. I love her random, interesting links. I usually click on Polls as well, unless they are a subject that I know/care nothing about.

Yes, it’s rare for me to pass librarylady’s posts by. Dare I say I love our Royal Family ones although I know I can get prickly about some responses.

I like current events and politics the best, but I like WWYD and product threads-I have learned so much from them-and regional threads. My least favorite are games and real estate. Fun fact; on the old board, there was frequent complaining about the politics threads-there used to be loads of them-and during one election year, politics got its own board. I forget what year it was. Maybe the 2008 election? Someone will remember.

It seems to come up for discussion fairly regularly but I don't recall it actually happening I'm generally not a fan of the idea but there does seem to be an awful lot at the moment...I can't imagine what it's going to be like by the autumn!!

I actually like the politics threads and have learned a lot by reading them and often find myself chasing down other links to read more about certain topics. I appreciate all the current events threads because the Peas know everything first. I can’t tell you how many times a subject will come up in random real life conversations and it’s something that was discussed here days or even weeks prior. I love the thought provoking threads jeremysgirl starts, she has facilitated some great discussions here and I appreciate that. Also the wide ranging subjects librarylady brings to the board are usually very interesting. And of course I have to give a shoutout to my decluttering friends, I love reading everyone’s tips and sharing in all the success there. And sharlag is just plain entertaining and I miss seeing her random posts pop up. I don’t really look at the games threads or the dinner threads too often but I do like it when someone asks for a favorite recipe for this or that.

I also like the weird, random thread where someone has a very unique question and at least 5 Peas will have already experienced it and have a possible solution.

Faves: Reading. P stories and WWYD. Sometimes I venture to the scrap board and like to see what Beggy Higgins is up to. I'll open a thread with a poll attached because I like that I can just choose an answer and not have to type anything out if I am feeling lazy. Least fave and never/rarely open: politics. games. whats for dinner.

I like the post where a pea has a question or an issue and is seeking the wisdom of the peas. I learn so much from these posts and I appreciate how everyone is willing to share their expertise/experiences to help out.
The collective wisdom of this place is an amazing thing and personally, my life is better for it!

I voted other. I love the discussing regional differences, food habits etc. I also love the conversations about family drama, disagreements, etiquette, customer service etc.
Other than those, my favorite is travel posts.
My least favorite are games and politics. Though I do read some of the politics post, my anxiety can't do that very often.

I’ll tell you what I avoid and why I don’t spend much time here….politics. Hate it in real life and this is my escape from real life There is a bit of a glut at the moment of political threads (which thankfully are clearly marked so pretty easy to avoid) but you could always start some lighthearted, interesting threads to help redress the balance - it seems we all love the fun ones.
