I voted other because I have a few favorite categories and you can only vote for 1. Also, you missed the Organizing/Decluttering thread.

My favorites are the ones about regional/national differences, whether it be food, speech, customs, etc. So I picked the “missing” answer.

Reading/Movies and TV are some of my favorites along with food but I could only vote for one.

I voted other because truthfully it just depends on the day, the topic, etc. But I will read most/just about any thread eventually.
IMO I like that there is a variety and that I can choose to stop and look, participate if I want, or to skip on by without opening. I sometimes enjoy engaging. I sometimes just enjoy reading. I have learned a lot or have been motivated to look a little deeper into some things from comments here. I love to see perspectives outside my little IRL bubble. I also often read the other boards but rarely post. So I really can’t pick one I guess. 😄
ETA- I would spend less time here if all the threads were about the same subjects, so maybe that wouldn’t be such a bad thing. 😆

I like the oddly personal ones like ‘Which foot do you wash first in the shower’ or ‘What do you have beside your bed’ type things. But I also like property, travel, weird things people do random threads, family dramas, skin care/nail polish ones and some health ones.
I don’t actively like the political ones but I have learned a lot from some of them and from some knowledgeable posters.
And obviously there are a fair few that aren’t relevant to non Americans 😊

My favorite are the real estate posts. Then political only because I get the best, most up-to-date news from here! My lease favorite are the games. But judging by the thread counts for them, they are everyone's favorite.

My favorite posts are ones with eye candy(scrapbooking/crafts), where I learn something (articles, links, politics), where there is substantive discussion (where we really share deep thoughts and opinions) or ones where people have a very human connection (dinner thread group, advice threads).

I’m another “other.” I go in waves with scrapbooking. I like the home-making posts (the organization/decluttering, cooking, running a house, decorating) and political mostly. I don’t like the supportive threads we do so much, because they’re heartbreaking and I feel for my fellow peas. But I love the support and resources and place to vent that they provide! Duh, and travel, even if I will never visit that location!

Mine are the silly things peas have very passionate opinions about like decorative hand towels and foot flushing.
I don’t care about real estate posts or dinner.
I don’t really like the political threads because 98% of the peas are liberal and it’s just an echo chamber or morecowbell trying to stir shit for no reason.
I don’t scrapbook anymore and I’ve never understood the point of games on a message board.

I have also gotten some helpful travel suggestions from the peas, which I appreciate.
I love what would the peas do and what do the peas think.
I like regional differences and how do you pronounce.
Anything that requires a passionate opinion without arguing about politics.

I didn't select anything, because I have more than one favorite. My favorites: Travel and vacation. Finances, budgeting, money saving ideas. Beauty (makeup and cosmetics). What's your favorite thing of the moment or favorite of "whatever" the thread starter is asking about. A good pea drama . Houses - viewing real estate. Shopping - enabling. Edited to add: Scrapbooking and books. Threads I avoid: Politics Religion Games

I like a mix of threads from the Netflix/prime, decluttering, random threads, those asking for advice, recipe and the politics. I should really avoid those but end up reading and responding to them. Oh the craft share is another that I really like. I love seeing what others are creating. The fluff ones can be a lot of fun.

I like polls! They are usually lighthearted and can run to pages with the comments.
Love threads highlighting how different we are around the world, WWTPD, reading of the good things happening to people particularly if the posters have come through rough times, eye candy.

Anything that requires a passionate opinion without arguing about politics. I agree with the arguing with politics. I like politics because I think I get a fairly informative view of what is going on in politics. Yes, there will always be someone who disagrees, but that's the beauty. I have several friends and relatives who are on the opposite of the political spectrum as me. But we get along great and manage to discuss politics! We've managed to get our points of view across without hurling insults at each other.
