Hi everyone! How are you coping with the time change? Does "Springing Forward" affect you? It's no big deal for me ... mainly because my sleep patterns are so messed up anyway. This is what I posted on FB today ... I finally got the last of my clocks changed about half an hour ago ... I'm a procrastinator! My dd's will be here at 11am ... we are going to the mall (yay.) to exchange a jacket that I gave Emma for her birthday last month ... it's too big ... we'll shop a bit and then have lunch in the food court ... burrito! No big plans after that ... Dinner will be decided later! Oh, and the Filipino food at my Mum's residence was tasty last night! Chicken Adobo - even my Mum liked it and she doesn't really like chicken! What are your plans today? What is on your menu tonight? Have a relaxing Sunday everybody!

It's dreary outside but I feel fine. I might take a nap this afternoon for about 20 minutes. DS is leaving this morning. Some co-workers from his job during college and 2 years after he got his degree are taking him to lunch this afternoon. 5 of them continue to get together and celebrate birthdays. We had such a nice time while he was up. I'm always sad to see him go then DH and I get back into our routine. I know many of you can relate. Dinner might be Sloppy Joe's. This may or may not be me. The cartwheel part is certainly true!

I hate springing fwd. It doesn't help that my big kitty was out of sorts about it and woke me up a couple times with very confused meows.
Apart from some chores, I have a puzzle just waiting for me. Later today we'll have a family zoom chat w/presents for dh to celebrate his milestone. I have to wrap his big Lego.
Dinner is up in the air. I'm thinking about tarragon chicken, wild rice and salad.
Have a fun, relaxing day, tribe.

We’re making chili for dinner. There will be raw veggies and ranch served with it. Also, Fritos and corn muffins. I have to have Fritos scoops with my chili!
Ally came yesterday and spent the night. We all slept a bit late this morning and just got home from grocery shopping. The whole day is going to be weird but I’ll adjust quickly, I hope!
The final two pieces of my renovation are coming together this week…my dishwasher, which has been in my living room since February 2, is being installed on Tuesday and my chair is being delivered on Thursday!

I was up at 5...again...when I didn't want to be...and it was really 4...but my body just doesn't care. I never am able to nap so that probably means I'll be in my bed early tonight.
But, I've been reading all morning and I did make some white chocolate cherry scones for my honey to have for breakfast. I turned my back and Ellie snatched two so apparently she thought they were for her. I tell you I am not used to a dog who is a counter surfer. It's making me nuts. Yesterday I woke up and she had pulled down an entire box of milkbones and they were all drowning in her water dish. 🙄
I've got the laundry going. The quilt shop did not have the feet I needed in stock to quilt on my machine. So I had to order them. What this means is that my machine is just sitting there being ignored and it's like having a new toy you can't play with. 😪
Tonight's dinner will be a white bean and kale soup with homemade pasta in it. I'm considering blending some of the kale into the pasta. I mean green pasta sounds like fun. I'm also going to make some everything seasoned bread. Otherwise I'll just read and crochet.

Hi friends! Per lucyg's request, here's the pic of me and DH from my early birthday dinner a few days ago. My actual birthday was pretty low-key...until I went to pick up dinner for us and an SUV hit and ran into the back side of our car and drove off. I immediately called the police, and they had me file a report online; I notified insurance; and I'll go to the collision place tomorrow. Fortunately, the car is driveable. The hubcap looked janky since that was hit as well, so I got a new one at the dealership yesterday morning. What a freaking mess. Dinner tonight will be a rotisserie chicken from Costco and some rice.

scrapmaven Thank you. Fortunately, I'm just bitter. No injuries. DH wasn't with me, but I was less than a minute from home, so I immediately called him and he came to sit in the car with me. We're wondering if it was a scared kid or someone without insurance. I ordered a dash cam the same night and will set it up as soon as I have the SD card it needs.

Happy Sunday!
I'm feeling so lazy today. The missing hour has done me in. I took tomorrow off as a mental health day because March has no work holidays and I've been wanting a bit of a break so it's a 3 day weekend for me!
I think I'm going over to my sister's for the Oscars tonight and will probably eat over there. I made paella for the family last night and it was so good. Everyone seemed to like it so that's good.
Hope you all have a great day!

KelleeM, you deserve to be happy and have a peaceful home. I truly hope that this is the beginning of even better things to come. rymeswithpurple, dashcam is a good idea. We need to order it for my newish car. It is really helpful, but hopefully you'll never need to view it.

scrapmaven I hope that we will never need it, but even if it can help someone else, it will be worth it to have it. Tearisci Enjoy your day off! I did the same for this coming Friday and Monday because I won't accrue hours after a certain point. The coworker who does payroll looks out for me because she's awesome. I'm using one day for an allergist appointment and will probably do nothing for the other. Hah.

Oh! And here's a funny story from yesterday. We decided to go to Costco yesterday after getting the new hubcap because it was opening soon and nearby and we needed a few things.
We saw one of DH's coworkers. DH made the "they'll just let anyone in here" joke when he saw her. I swear to you, his coworker didn't hear him but her husband (WHO WE HAVE NEVER MET) was like who is this guy. Most awkward 4.2 seconds of my life before his coworker saw him.

Hi Everyone, Thank you Marina and lucyg for tagging me yesterday! I have missed being here and posting. I have gotten on and read and then either forgot to post or my IPAD had to be recharged and it got too late to post.I have been dealing with my back issues. I was released from PT because I only had five sessions left. And they wanted those sessions to be used. If I got really really bad again. So they gave me exercises to do at home and my spine doctor told me to join a gym, and do the stair-master, elliptical and recumbent bike. I can also use the pool. So I just started that this past week. My boys had this week off for spring break. We have loved having them home. And they have been a great help to me with things around the home. We’ve come to realize that I need to hire a cleaning lady. So my first cleaning will be a week from tomorrow. With this time change; it’s been a crazy morning. I got less sleep than I normally do and I lost an hour of sleep. Getting ready for church this morning was very comical. I tried to use heated rollers in my hair and realized I only had two clips to put the heated rollers in I couldn’t find the rest of them. I don’t know where they went. So luckily, I have two hairstylist wands that I can use. But I have lost so much hair in the last six months that my Hairdresser is very concerned. We’ve cut my hair shorter than normal to look fuller. But, it hasn’t really helped. I keep losing hair. I’ve started using castor oil and I’m using my collagen and protein. Hopefully that helps. I have also started juicing because my girlfriend gave me a Breville juicer and I love it. It’s made me feel a lot better. leannec I love your meme. Your day sounds wonderful. cadoodlebug Your meme is SO ME. It’s so wonderful that your son stays in touch with his friends from college. It’s great to have a group of friends that you can always rely on. scrapmaven hooray for the zoom party. That’s wonderful! Have a great time doing your puzzle. I’m sorry that your kitty realize something was going on with the time change. It’s always hard dealing with an animal that keeps you up all night. They don’t understand but they can feel it. KelleeM your meals sound delicious. I’m so glad you got to spend some time with Ally. I bet you were excited to get your renovation finished soon. From the pictures I saw before it was gorgeous. jeremysgirl Are you sure that dog is not a cat? I can’t believe she can get up and get to things the way she does. Jeremy is one lucky man to have you! I hope your foot comes in soon for your sewing machine. ntsf Enjoy your time with your brother. rymeswithpurple Great picture! I am so sorry about the car accident. I hope it doesn’t cost too much to fix it. Tearisci I know how you feel about needing a mental health day. I used to do that when I worked. Have a great time at your sister’s house tonight watching the Oscars.

destined2bmom Thank you! The person I talked to at my insurance company said that because it was a hit and run, the deductible is less than it would be if they had stuck around. They'll also cover the cost of a rental if needed. I know nothing about how long or how much something like this will cost, but that's why I'm going to call tomorrow for an estimate appointment.

We still have 3 weeks before the time changes here - the European countries who change, change on the last weekend of March - but I won’t be here when it happens. I will be in Australia a week later when they change (always first weekend of April for the states who change) but that’s a ‘fall back’ so not so bad. As I will be flying back the day after the Aussie time change, I’ll be jetlagged for half the week anyway.
I was up early and out of the house at 8:30 this morning to get to church on time for my class on public transport. At least this is the only weekend where I have a class that DH is not home to drive me. Our class went well, our elderly priest only lapsed into German once during Mass, and then we had our big fundraiser of the year - Soup Sunday. We had the most amazing array of soup to choose from. Our community is from all over the world and in the past few years we’ve had an influx from Africa and India, leading to some very interesting flavours. We also had some of the old favourites like potato soup with wiener slices and chilli. Best of all, we raised over €2000 for the local refugee center, to help with their children’s programs.
I was lucky that someone offered me a ride home so I was back just before two, and since then I’ve been knitting on a new sweater for me. I have just realised it is past 6pm, so no wonder I am feeling hungry! I have some chicken thighs in the fridge from my market visit Friday, so I will grill them and smother them in the leftover mole sauce from last weekend. I have some Mexican rice and another sweet corn to eat with the chicken.

Well snowed here not much there, maybe an inch on the ground. I need to get my act together before I fly out of here on Tuesday. I live not far from a casino and one of our sheriffs deputies apparently was shot and killed there last night. They haven’t given out any other information other than he was a young father. They have two people in custody. It sounds like there was a fight and he attempted to break it up and gave up his life.
ETA: apparently the officer who was a 32 year member of the sheriffs department died of a heart attack while arresting one of the combative people. a woman and a man were arrested. The woman was arrested without any issues, and the man jumped in. The deputy that died was attempting to arrest the man. It’s just sad because I think I know who his brother is.

karenlou Thank you! What a kind group this is. I appreciate each and every one of you. I'm hoping it's a relatively easy fix because there aren't any (obvious to me) dents or dings, just scratches and a few tiny areas where some paint was scraped off. The hubcap looked like crap, so I had no problem getting that replaced, especially because we've only had this car since October! cadoodlebug Thank you! It's one of my new favorite photos of us.

rymeswithpurple, your insurance company will give you the name of a body shop and they should set it up for you. They contract w/body shops and want you to use their referrals. Please check w/them before you take your car in for repairs. destined2bmom, love the pool. That is your best friend. Ellipticals while good machines can really mess w/your knees. I'm surprised that was recommended, but I am not about to tell you to override a spine specialist. I'm sorry that you're in so much pain. As for hair, please ask your hair dresser about Nioxin. If Costco has it you can get it cheaply. It will help stop the hair loss. It worked on me when I was on mega doses of steroids. I wish I was there to give you a gentle ((((HUG)))). I'm so glad that you're going to have a housekeeper. That will take one worry off of your plate, so that you can focus on healing. Enjoy your time w/the boys.

I'm on autopilot today. One of my supervisors passed away last night. She came down ill Wednesday. Was put in ICU Friday night and died last night. I am still in shock. She has worked for me for 15 years. You hear of people that are always taking in stray animals, well she took in stray humans. People that were struggling, needed help to get back on their feet, she was there. She has two sons that have disabilities so she was very involved with Special Olympics. I really worry about how her family is going to cope. My business partner and I have spent the better part of the day reworking her office schedule for this week, calling her appointments and comforting each other and her immediate staff.
I've really just been in a funk lately and this is the tipping point. It's been a tough couple of months work wise.
Please keep her family in your prayers.

stormsts Oh my goodness. I am so sorry to read this. I am keeping all of you in my thoughts. 💕 How awful. jeremysgirl Thank you! I love the hedgies. 🦔 I have a few blouses with critters on them, and one of my favorite dresses has dinosaurs on it. scrapmaven When I called my insurance company on Friday, they mentioned some places they work directly with, and one was referred to by the dealer as well. They made sure to tell me to mention I have a membership plan with them (it gets me free oil changes, tire rotations, discounts on service, things like that). I also made an appointment at my primary care office to get checked out tomorrow to be safe. Unfortunately, the lady I see as my primary care np isn't back from maternity leave just yet, but I do like their other staff.

My prayers are w/her loved ones and my thoughts are w/you. Your posts are telling that you're going through a rough patch. Remember that you have friends here. ((((HUGS)))).
rymeswithpurple, after a rear ender I did acupuncture and acupressure and it worked to relieve me of the pain. You might want to consider it if you find that you're experiencing pain.

scrapmaven Thanks! Fortunately, except for being sour over the whole ordeal, I am not in any physical pain. DH's former supervisor suggested getting checked out because it's possible the adrenaline of it all is preventing me from feeling anything right now. The damage to the car was the hubcap and side near the back. I don't see any dents, but that's what the shop visit is for.
