Hi everyone! It is my girlfriends birthday today so I am taking her to our fav Italian restaurant tonight for dinner ... and I have a nice gift for her! I'm not sure what I am doing until then ... clean up a bit around here I guess ... yay. This is what I posted on Facebook today ... it's very true!!! . I actually don't order near as many things as I did when I first moved into my condo ... but I do have an Amazon order coming today ... it's boring though ... lightbulbs and vitamins! What are your plans today? What is on your menu tonight? Have a great Saturday everybody!

Good morning. Have a nice celebration w/your friend, leannec. I have to go the store in a bit and drop stuff off at the UPS store. Then it's home to my office. Though I'm not sure what I'll be doing there. Dh is making chicken chow mein for dinner. Wishing everyone a relaxing, fun day!

I try to shop local where I can and if not, buy from online small businesses. I buy from a lot of online small businesses. I try to avoid Amazon as much as I can. Don't want to feed the beast. 😂
I really like it when I buy something on preorder and then am surprised when it finally ships. I have some yarn I ordered a week and a half ago that won't be made until the 23rd. So it will be a good surprise when it arrives.
We are on our way to our friend's house. Jeremy will help him remove a kitchen island and lay flooring. Then he will go back and help him install a new kitchen island when it's ready. She likes to crochet so I brought a project bag. I thought the two of us could crochet while we chat.
We will be eating dinner out. I don't know where. I am looking for some seafood or fish.

I have had a fun day today. We started with a phone call from a special birthday girl Then I headed into town for a 4 hour embroidery course. There were 7 of us in the class with a really fun teacher. We were embroidering little flowers with the aim of making a pendant from one of them. None of us finished all the flowers and we were shown the process to make the pendant and given the fixings. I have 1.5 flowers to finish then I’ll choose my favourite This is what we were aiming for And this is where I am so far The black lines will go away when I press the finished item. Dinner is going to be steak. I don’t know how it will be served, or what sides, as DH did all the grocery shopping after dropping me at the train station.

I dropped off some books to the new Little Library that popped up at the park near my house and took a couple that I thought the grandboys might like. Do you guys have Little Libraries in your neighbourhoods? I love the idea and donate whenever I see one.
Tonight I’m heading over to DS’s house to stay with my grand dog for the night. They should be home sometime on Sunday.
Supper tonight is leftover pulled pork poutine for me and sausages for DH.

I had trouble sleeping last night so I'm dragging this morning. I never get headaches but had just a faint throb above my right ear. It wasn't steady just every so often. I took a pain reliever this morning but plan on calling the advice nurse and perhaps getting an appointment early next week to get checked out. Haven't decided on dinner. Maybe spaghetti and meatballs.

Dinner tonight is reservations! karenlou and her dh are taking me out to celebrate my birthday early. I’ve looked at the menu but will wait until we’re there to decide. I spent the morning making meatballs, a cheesecake and slicing strawberries for said cheesecake. I’m going to see if any of my friends are around to chat on Zoom. I usually craft while we Zoom but I’m not feeling it today.

Hi Everyone, Yesterday, I was so busy I didn’t get a chance to post. I had a rough night sleeping. So I slept in for most of the morning and then in the afternoon; I ended up getting my nails done. It took longer than I thought it would. After that, I went out to dinner with my girlfriends. Today, YDS came home for the weekend. I have been working on my closet today; but had to take a break to take a pain medication. Tonight DH and I are going to one of the firehouses he volunteers for to have their annual department dinner. He put together a beautiful slideshow with music to showcase all of the firefighters and the calls they responded to during the year. leannec Enjoy dinner with your girlfriend. scrapmaven I am so glad to see that you are able to do things in spite of not feeling good. jeremysgirl Enjoy crocheting while Jeremy is helping his friend. sueg Sophia is beautiful! I can’t believe she is 5! Your embroidery is beautiful. cadoodlebug I am sorry that you couldn’t sleep last night. And I hope your headache gets better. KelleeM and karenlou Have A great dinner, celebrating your birthday, Kellee. bklyngal62 That is my kind of a day! Enjoy! I hope all of you have a peaceful rest of the day.

Happy Saturday!
It's been storming here for most of the day but I was able to get out with my mom and run some errands and go to brunch before it got really bad. I had planned to plant some seeds in pots today but I think I'll be staying inside and playing DLV and watching tv.
Dinner tonight will be leftover lasagna from last night's dinner. One of the things I stopped for today was Honeybaked Ham which we'll have tomorrow with scalloped potatoes. I hope to be able to do a little more in the yard tomorrow but it's literally a washout today.
Hope you all have a great day!

We're going to have chicken curry empanadas for dinner, and I'm planning on making a strawberry tart.
Doing a little laundry and trying to finish some Easter/spring projects today.

Happy National Quilting Day! In honor I attended the virtual quilt guild meeting and have been finishing up the binding on a quilt. Yesterday we got caught in an awful storm on the way home from the grocery. Thankfully DH was driving. The storms have missed us today but it has been gloomy. Next round comes in after midnight and should be around most of the day tomorrow. Spent some time prepping in the kitchen this afternoon. I have a pork tenderloin marinating in my usual recipe. Also have some shrimp, onion/bell pepper/pineapple chunks marinating in a different marinade as well. I normally grill those but with the storms tomorrow will try them on the griddle (built in on our cooktop). Dinner tonight has happened. DH came in a bit ago with 6 lbs of boiled crawfish, corn and potatoes for DD and I. It was my first batch of the season so it was a good surprise. They are hard to come by this year as the season isn't good due to all the heat last summer and very pricey when you do find them. Most were on the small size, but they were still delicious. Now I'm stuffed.

I can't believe Sophia is 5! Happy Birthday to her!
I did a sort of hibachi dinner- filet with veggies (zucchini, summer squash, carrots, onions, mushrooms). We were starving and I didnt make a starch (dh normally does the meat and veggies on the grill, but it was raining and windy),so I'll make popcorn shortly!

Hi friends! We spent the better part of the day with my SIL and nephew, but are glad to be home. Who knew 20 month olds were so exhausting? It took us about 80 minutes to get home, so that was a huge plus. Then again, I took the express lanes and went about 80 for nearly the entire time. We had Subway for dinner since we had a gift card and didn't feel like cooking. We also saw a hot air balloon on our drive down, which was sort of neat. It's also my not so little brother's 30th birthday today. We're 4 years apart (I'm older), but I'm pretty sure he's been a foot taller for 20 of those years...

sueg how is Sophia that big already?! Enjoy your early birthday dinner KelleeM and karenlou ! The football season has started, and I went to the match with my usual crew. It was quite a big crowd, and because it wasn't our team's home game, we couldn't use our reserved seats. Instead we had to go waaaaaaaay up the top of the stands. Once we got up there, I couldn't be bothered walking back down to get food, so I was fangin' by the time I got home! When DSO suggested fish & chips, he did not have to twist my arm.

Do you guys have Little Libraries in your neighbourhoods? I love the idea and donate whenever I see one There is a lovely Little Library in a walking park at the end of the street. This park has a fabulous cafe, a huge man made lake which is actually a storm water over flow system to prevent flooding - very clever - and a nice new playground recently installed. there is always some one walking their dog, or riding a bike or just having a walk in this very popular park.
