Have you had a bad Botox experience? Was your derm able to correct it or did you have to wait for the 3-4 months for it to wear off? I've gotten Botox a number of times over the past 2-3 years and it's always been a positive. I had my last injections 2 weeks ago and my face is definitely a bit crooked. Dh tells me it's not very noticeable, but I see it when I talk. And, I can't wink my right eye.
I'm nervous about them giving me more Botox to try and correct it (which Google tells me is the fix).

I got my crows feet injected and it froze a muscle in my nose that bugged me. The last time I had it done I said that was it. My face hurt for 2 days and I said no more. I have no wrinkles really on my forehead. It’s pretty smooth. I want my lip done with Dysport but I am chicken.

The first time my neurologist did mine she went too low on my forehead and I couldn't move my eyebrows for about 6 weeks. I felt like I looked mad all the time. The last time I saw her, I think she got a little too close to my left eye and sometimes it didn't open as wide as my right, especially when I was tired. I didn't notice it anymore after 4-5 weeks. I've been getting botox shots all over my head for migraines for I think 4 years now, and those are the only two times I've had "issues".

Yes.
My dentist was doing injections to try to help my clenching and grinding. She went too far in and I couldn’t smile for almost 6 months. I thought I was smiling, but it was definitely more of a grimace.
I’ve been afraid to do it again ever since and that was in 2020.

I have not, but if you've had consistent good experiences with your derm, I would trust them to fix it. Usually everything is fully settled by two weeks, but sometimes I notice small changes after. Maybe it's taking a little longer than usual this time.
If you were using someone other than a derm, I would be more wary about having the same person fix it, but they know what they are doing. The human body isn't always 100% predictable.

I have had one eyebrow look a bit lower than the other one. I went back at she injected a little more to even things out and it worked. She noted it on my file, and I have never had that happen again.

I've had a couple bad experiences. 1. My regular nurse at the med spa retired and I tried someone new. She didn't listen to me about the extra shot I need above my right eyebrow. I looked like I had one eyebrow higher than the other for a couple months. I didn't go back, I just waited until my next time and chose a different nurse. The 2nd nurse got it right and she will be who I pick from now on.
2. My dentist started doing Botox and I decided to try him since he's in my town. (My med spa is a 30 minute drive) Well he's new at Botox and I tried telling him where to place it, but he didn't listen and placed it where he was trained to inject. I don't need my forehead done at all since I don't have lines there. He still went all across my forehead essentially dropping it so I felt like Cro-magnon man. I also had it done for clenching and grinding and it gave me relief for about 2 days. I went back in and he blamed it on me. He said I must have worn a hat or touched it too much and moved the Botox around. Um no. I've been getting injected for over 10 years. I know what my face needs and I know the after-care rules.

Thanks guys! I go see the derm tomorrow, so I'll know what they say. My smile is still definitely crooked and I can't close one eye as well as the other (or wink with it...not that I need to do a lot of winking). But it's been very watery, I think it's getting irritated because it doesn't close as well as my other eye.

I don’t want to be alarmist but if it’s multiple features on one side of your face… are you sure Botox is the cause? I guess I didn’t read the OP very well, and missed that the first time.

I think it has to be the Botox because it hit at day 6. I had my 11’s, crows feet and my marionette lines done and those are the areas with problems (well the 11’s are fine).
And no worries about sounding alarmist…I’ve had the same thoughts.

Happy to report that after going back and having her give me a little more Botox on the side of my face that was looking crooked, things are now back looking nice and even. And, she didn't charge me for the return visit.

Yes, the only time I had cosmetic botox, it was an issue. My eyes looked completely different- the first time I went to put on eyeshadow after, I realized how different. It also took much longer than Ibwas told to wear off- both the cosmetic and the medical that I had at the same time

Glad it worked out! I’ve been getting Botox for 15 years I think - only like twice has it looked a little “off” (droopy eyebrow etc) and both times it looked give after a week or two…

I'm too chicken to inject deadly poison within a millimeter of my brain. My mother got it as soon as it became available, and she had a floppy eyelid for weeks. She was tiny, so it could have been a case of incorrect dosage.
