We are in the final stretch! DD picked up her cap and gown yesterday. Ahhhhh.... I remember posting her birth announcement on the old board.
She has a top college pick here in state with a good scholarship, but is waiting to hear from three more schools by the end of the month. She has recently expressed a wish to stay closer to home, so we will see how it all works out. The FAFSA craziness has added an unfortunate layer of stress.
How is everyone else doing?

I do! My son graduates June 8 and it hardly seems possible. Just yesterday he was my sweet little red haired boy!
He will be staying home next year and attending the two year technical college for Cybersecurity. We have the money set aside for him so we don't have to deal with the whole financial aid thing.
He's really sad to see high school end. He found his "people" and has had a great run.

I have a HS junior with a snarky you-don't-know- anything attitude I wish was graduating and moving out this year, does that count?

DD is graduating in May from our high school and the county career center. She plans to be a groomer. She was hired by one right before Christmas. This groomer is also training her. I've been busy planning her party. I'm glad she's going to be living here for a little while longer. She's my last and I'm not ready for empty nest yet.

I have a grandson graduating this year - does that count? I understand what you are going through after three daughters. I get to help plan the party and am working on his scrapbook which he loves, good thing because he will get it!

My high school senior is spending all their time rehearsing for the school musical right now. They’re headed to a liberal arts college in the fall that they applied to early decision; regular decision admits are notified in a few days, and then they’ll open up the spring visit dates. I’m excited for them!

I do! He's my youngest. He received his welding D.1 certificate from the career center. Not sure what he will do next, probably work and go to school. I'm relieved - I was sad about sports ending a couple weeks ago but I am so over school. On to bigger and better things!

UGH!! I do!! I got her cap & gown yesterday too. It's getting more real that my BABY is almost an adult!! ACK!! Our situation is a little different in that she "graduated" early. She finished in January. She moved to college already. She is attending a Community College about 90 miles from home. She was coming home every weekend and working at her job here but she has found a job up there so she hasn't been home in several weeks. I have seen her though since she lives near the city where I have to take my Mom for appointments. She is miserable in her living arrangement so we're trying to figure that part out.

I do! My oldest graduates May 18th... how is that possible?!?
He was accepted to several schools and FINALLY chose his college last weekend! He chose to stay in-state (Florida) and will be about 3 hours from home. I paid the housing deposit last week and he will find out his dorm assignment in May. I need to take his senior photos within the next few weeks, pay for his cap and gown, and plan a grad party! It's happening so fast!

Technically I do, but she’s not doing the traditional grad stuff. She finished up her hs requirements last fall and I picked up her diploma a month or two ago.
She’s been doing mostly college courses this year (and also last year) so she had already graduated with a degree from a technical college and is just a few credits away from her associates from a local university.
She’s already mentally very much left hs behind.

Mine is graduating June 22nd and will have her Cosmetology license. She is then going to one of our state schools (SUNY Potsdam) to become an art teacher.
Time sure has flown.

I have a senior! I am so proud of him as he is such a great kid. He gives me no issues whatsoever. Always helps out! He’s already dual enrolled at our community college, and will get all his gen ed stuff done now and over the summer.
But gasp, I also have a Kindergartener as well, so I will be doing this all over again! It’s actually the second time in. T life I’ve had a senior and K student. My boys are 31,17, 7 and 6!!!!!!

waving over here. Our oldest graduates in May. I remember when I was terrified she wouldn't ever speak after getting a speech delay diagnosis. I was sobbing to DH that she was going to be labeled "slow" and never have opportunities. She just found out she was cast as Snoopy in You're a Good Man Charlie Brown for a theatre class production, and is high performing student. Where she got her executive functioning skills is beyond me, but I'm so proud of everything she's taken on in the past few years.
She was accepted to the state school she loves which has a fantastic art program. We are excited and sad at the same time for this milestone. She's refused a party, but has no idea I've ordered a banner and yard sign for the front yard lol. It's been a series of compromises as we near end of year activities. Between what she wants and what I want to celebrate.

My youngest is a senior. He was just announced as Salutatorian - moved up in rank at semester so very much a fun surprise! He’s headed to Texas A&M for engineering where his sister is a junior so they will have a year together. He’s in tennis, his final HS sport, and still busy with that while trying to keep up with graduation to dos and college prep. It’s a busy time and I’m just trying to soak it all up.

My youngest graduates in May. So different from when my oldest graduated. This one is ok with me throwing a party, knows it’s as much if not more for me. LOL! He decided not to play baseball this spring. Right decision for him and I’m glad he did what he wanted, but it was a little sad but getting one more season watching him play ball. He’ll be joining sibling at in state university next year. Nice that they aren’t to far so we can see them easier.

I do! Last one. We just did senior pictures, ordered graduation announcements, bought the last prom dress, picked up the cap and gown. She is a national merit finalist and has worked out school and housing for next year. I am feeling happy for her and sad that our last one is leaving.

My YOUNGEST is graduating at the end of May. She’s my last kiddo at home and I am so not ready for the empty nest season. I think she’s going to stay local for college and save money on housing so I’ll have her for a bit longer. Seeing our kids grow up is so bittersweet. It’s exciting to see what the future holds for them but so hard to let go.

We have done senior pics, have the cap and gown but haven’t ordered announcements yet. My middle kid gets married tomorrow so it’s been crazy. That’s on my list for next week.

I do! My baby girl and last child at home graduates end of May. 😭 I picked her up at lunch time today and whisked her away for the rest of the school day. I NEVER do that with my kids, but, I just wanted a little extra time with her while I can.
Her JR year was rough, but, we have become really close this year, and I am so happy about it. She will be attending college only 40 minutes away and living in the dorms, so, still close by, but, she is by far my most independent kid and she can’t wait to fly.
Overall, I am very happy about my kids growing up and moving on, but, it is still a little hard to believe and a touch melancholy.
I joined 2 peas when my oldest was a small baby. And, I am now about done. It’s been a crazy ride.
