Good morning. How is your mum today leannec? How is your husband, ntsf? I'm thinking of both of you and wishing your loved ones well. The Birdhouse Lady, great news yesterday. lucyg, I love that you have a boyfriend. Hey, call it what it is. Betcha' you two make such a cute couple. AussieMeg, join us. I'd fly to see you in a minute. Today is the girl's trip to Central Market. Having been there once before I know their products are great. **GypsyGirl**, I will be coming back up here rather than IAH after we yak. As it turns out, I'm staying until Friday. I took a remarkable step w/my energy level. I am getting REM sleep and Ijust feel better. Unfortunately, the rib thing sort of messed up the show. So, we have to fix that and then the other issues will progress. cadoodlebug, I can start the thread tmw. Can someone please start the thread on Friday? I think cadoodlebug will be at a crop!?!? What's on your menu? What are you up to today? Happy day for all!

Good morning scrapmaven! I'm glad to hear you slept well and are seeing some general improvements. I can start the thread on Friday. I have no meetings and am an early bird. So I'm around. Hoping leannec and ntsf loved ones are improving today! I was also glad to read your news The Birdhouse Lady. All my meetings for today got cancelled. My coworker is out today and she needed to travel to see her neurologist. Something is bleeding inside her head. I don't know the extent of it but she is hoping her brain is not bleeding, requiring surgery. So if you would keep her in your thoughts, I'd appreciate it. Pain in the ass that she is, I don't want her to suffer and I am concerned about her health. Unfortunately, my mood tanked yesterday. I went from happy, happy, joy, joy at noon to crabby (mixed) at 3, to needed to be rolled off the couch and dragged to bed by 6. For those reasons, Jeremy made dinner. I got a grilled cheese sandwich. It really hit the spot. But it is crazy how quickly my mood changes sometimes. I did not sleep well and the jury is still out on how this day is going to go. I feel OK this morning, but I felt OK at this time yesterday too. Good news is that it had been a few weeks since I felt anything bipolar related. My friend Wendy was like, what triggered it? I hate explaining to people over and over again that I don't need any kind of trigger to cycle. Tonight I will make that white bean with asparagus, peppers and farro bowl.

Happy Tuesday! Up bright and early with the painters. The weather is forecast to be great for painting the rest of the week so they should make lots more progress. The repair work in the main bath will happen next week, so I really do have to go toilet shopping today (didn't make it yesterday). No clue what dinner will be tonight. Once I have more coffee I hope to figure out something. Today is the girl's trip to Central Market. Having been there once before I know their products are great. **GypsyGirl**, I will be coming back up here rather than IAH after we yak. As it turns out, I'm staying until Friday. Even more exciting is that you are making such good progress with your energy level. Sorry you need to stay longer but just think how much better you'll feel by Friday! See you soon!

Happy Tuesday! scrapmaven and @**GypsyGirl** Have so much fun at Central Market! I wish I had one in my town but I have to trek a few towns over to visit. It's across the street from Trader Joe's so I usually do both when I go. Today is a typical day at work with a few meetings. I was tired after work yesterday, so I ordered in Door Dash. Tonight, I'm going to make the beef stroganoff I was going to make last night. My dog woke me up extra early this morning and I tried to get him to go back to bed after letting him out. He really wasn't down for that because he likes to sleep on the couch after I get up. I love him but he can be a PITA! Have a good day!

jeremysgirl, thank you for leading us on Friday. I'm bummed that you had a mixed episode. Those really take their toll. I hope that today is much easier day for you. Be gentle w/our friend, jeremysgirl. I'll think good thoughts for your coworker. I do hope it's not a major event for her. Tearisci, did you know that TJ's has over 73K different types of bags? I was told that by a cashier in my area. I have 8 bags from different areas. Only 72, 992 bags to go. Hehe. If I could eat normal food I'd raid Central Market today.

Oh hey, hello!! I can’t believe I’m posting on the thread so soon after you posted it scrapmaven!! I’m usually posting 7 hours or so later. It’s nearly 1am and I *really* need to go to sleep. Dinner was jalapeño popper chicken. It was sooo good, and I made enough for another two meals. Good night (morning?) all, I’ll see you again in 7 hours or so!

Thanks everyone for the good wishes for my mum! She is doing better and should be able to come home today or tomorrow she thinks. Molly is coming over in an hour and we are going to Denny's for breakfast and then we are going to my mum's house to do cat stuff and play with Milo ... he's probably so lonely! Do you have kids with opposite personalities when it comes to helping out? Molly always says yes ... Emma always says no. It drives me nuts! I had Subway for dinner last night and still have half of it left ... if it isn't too soggy it might be dinner tonight!

Ooh, AussieMeg and christine58, can you share a recipe? I'm always looking for new ones. I worked on writing down more of my recipes into one notebook last night. I dropped off little 'roo (our Impreza) at the collision shop this morning and picked up the rental. The smallest one they had was a Kia Sorrento. But the person I worked with said they'll see if they can get a sedan for me. Yes, I'm a wuss. The Sorrento just seems...massive. Hah.

Still haven’t eaten the fundraiser chili. If we don’t eat it by tonight, it’s going in the freezer. Which seems kind of foolish, considering how much I paid for it. Glad to hear there’s been some improvement on leannec’s mother’s and scrapmaven’s parts. jeremysgirl, hope you have a good day. Wishing your co-worker well, even though she’s generally a PITA. ntsf, wishing your hubby all the best. I hope he starts feeling better FAST.

Hi Everyone, Today, I am going out to have lunch with my girlfriend. And I am trying to figure out if and when to go to the gym today. Decisions, decisions…other than that, I am going to be doing my usual. The boys went back to school and YDS will be home for Easter weekend. I don’t know if ODS will be coming too. YDS told me ODS will not come until the end of the semester in May. Hopefully we will see him before May. DH has a fire department meeting tonight; so I will probably be on my own. scrapmaven I am so glad that you were able to make it down there and are doing so much better. I really hope that you and @gyspygirl have a fabulous time together! Also if jeremysgirl can’t start the thread, I can do it. jeremysgirl I am sorry that your mood changed so quickly yesterday. I will definitely pray for your coworker. Maybe hearing what she thinks is going on really affected your mood. You are in a tough spot, having to cover for her all the time. Be kind and gentle with yourself. Tearisci Have a great day and beef stroganoff sounds delicious for dinner. AussieMeg Your dinner sounds great. leannec I am glad that your Mum is doing better. I hope you enjoyed your time at breakfast with Molly. rymeswithpurple I hope the car place can get you a smaller rental. I hope all of you have a peaceful rest of the day..

I'm glad you are feeling better today. And scrapmaven , I'm glad you're having some extra time with your wonderful doctor. Dinner is up in the air. rymeswithpurple Here is the recipe

Hi all, Just watching the news while I wait to get dressed. We have a fancy fundraiser tonight so I have to go to South Bend today. I will be handling the registration. I think we expect about 125 people. I out together a basket for our silent auction with a self-care theme. Books and activities for self-care, plus hand creme, bath goodies, and a Statbucks gift card. I hope we get lots of bids. Tonight will be a good distractions from all of the student stuff and health stuff. Tomorrow we have 2 appointments for Nick, one being an important test. Hoping we may have some information before we arrive at the 2nd appt with our pcp. At the same time, not knowing beats bad news, so there isn't any comfortable place to be with this situation. I keep pushing my panic down when it creeps up. Hanging in there.
Sending good thoughts for all who need them. ❤️

I’m babysitting grandboy #3 for the day. DH is coming to relieve me for an hour this afternoon because I have a hair appointment. I already changed it once so I didn’t want to change it again. Grandboy just told me that it should be called “kid sitting” and not “babysitting” because he’s not a baby. He’s 3!
It’s a cold rainy day so that put a halt to the plans to go to the park. We’ve been reading books, playing cars and PlayDoh. I now remember why I hated PlayDoh so much when my boys were young.
I apologize for not responding to everyone in my posts. I pea on my phone so I can’t see the other posts when I’m responding. My memory isn’t good enough to remember who said what by the time I do my post. Just know that I read them all, offer prayers when asked and celebrate the successes.
Supper tonight will be chicken fettuccine alfredo.

We are having hamburgers with cheese and fried onions, salad and vegetables. I think we need to get groceries.
Do you have a parent in their 80s? My dad keeps falling asleep during the day. The answer “You are 82” does not suffice and he just had 3 major heart surgeries in one. He is falling asleep in the am, or afternoon and the evening. He is trying to lose weight. He has about 20 lbs to lose and he is not anemic. There is no reason for him to need that much sleep according to him. Ideas? He cut his beta blocker in half too.

I had always heard that you needed less sleep as you got older but not him!

I flew home on the red eye from Denver last night...Got into Boston at 6am, and had to wait an hour for the Logan Express...It is so much easier to take the bus and DH picks me up a mile from home...No one has to deal with the traffic, besides the bus driver...win/win!! I have been doing laundry and reading my book...may or may not have napped a bit while reading.
Dinner will be a recipe my DF gave me for tarragon turkey cutlets...simple and easy, She made it while I was there so I know it is yummy. I'll make a salad and a veggie to go with.
jeremysgirl....sorry yesterday turned into an OFF day...Hope today is better. scrapmaven glad to hear you are improving😊 nasty...Hope your DH is feeling better... Lucyg...I love you have a BOYFRIEND!!!!!!

He had tons of energy his whole life and thinks he shouldn’t need that much sleep. I tell him it’s still normal and he gets mad (not at me but at sleeping). He had heart 3 surgeries in one on October 4th. He could still be recovering.

my dh is 73 and often has an afternoon snooze.. not every day but he likes his nap. I like to lay down for 20 min or so.. but rarely sleep.
I spent all morning at the hospital so I could listen to what the doctors said and it was more together today. sounds like he won't need immediate surgery.. but several more days of rest, pain meds and no eating/drinking. he is getting up to walk the halls this afternoon.
he is still in pain, but "perkier".. more like himself and not in such a pain fog. our son's best friend works at a high position in the hospital and dh got some support from him in getting better communication.
so I am going back for short time this afternoon. and have a fun zoom tonight. and tomorrow I am going to exercise class in the morning before going to hospital.
dinner is breakfast. eggs and sausage.
take care all..

Good morning from me. I was awake early today and decided to get up, showered and dressed as DH has just landed in Melbourne and I need to be ready to let him in to our serviced apartment. I moved here yesterday afternoon after 5 days staying with my sister. At this point, I feel I will need a vacation when I get home, to recover from these 2 weeks - I have hardly stopped moving since I got here. After a busy weekend of parties, I spent Monday in the city with an art exhibition and a museum visit, along with some shopping. Yesterday was ‘that’s what Omas are for’ day, as I created two incredible Easter hats for the girls. Dinner last night was simple - I walked to the supermarket 5 minutes from here and bought a rotisserie chicken and a couple of tubs of salad. Also a quick drop in to the bottle shop next door for a chilled bottle of white wine. I have hot cross buns for breakfast, which will happen very soon

I tell him it is normal but to go from 60 to snoring instead of 0-60 has him perplexed. He is living well and will tell people that. At 82 he needs a nap. He is going to try to exercise more he said. Ok but that could make him more tired lol.

This is the recipe that I started out with: Jalapeño Popper Chicken but I make a small change. I mix the chopped jalapeños and the cooked bacon in with the cream cheese, then spread it over the chicken, instead of layering each one separately. Then I sprinkle the grated cheddar on top. It is so good, every time I eat it I say that it's one of my favourite meals. I have enough for two more meals (DSO won't eat reheated food), and I tell you, it's taking every bit of willpower to not pull it out of the fridge right now at 9am and have it for breakfast!
