Good morning. I never did my shopping yesterday. That's ok. Less to carry. My rib was officially pronounced cracked and it is quite an owie. Still I'm healing well, everywhere else. I am flying home tmw. What's for dinner? What I'd everyone doing today? tmarschall, how is Nick? How did the appointments go? You're in my thoughts. leannec, how's your mum? ntsf, how is your husband? Will you make your eclipse trip? Happy, calm day, tribe.

Good morning scrapmaven! I feel bad about your cracked rib. Hopefully it's not too terribly painful. I have a ton of meetings today. Boo! But I did get my work all caught up this morning. So depending on whether I have any action items coming out of the meetings will determine how my Friday is going to go. Fingers crossed it's not too much work. Marina you really confused me when I read your messages this morning on yesterday's thread. Maybe you can clarify. Last night, we went to the mall as I wanted to get out of the house. I bought some books at Barnes and Noble and I found a great rocking camp chair which I did not buy. Jeremy took me out to dinner at our favorite taco place. We usually get takeout but we decided to eat in. And we were sitting there over dinner and I said to him, "thank you for buying me these books and that camping chair." He said, "I didn't buy you the camping chair." And I laughed so hard and said, "you will though." Hahaha...not that he bought the books either really. But I thought that was funny because I knew he liked the chair too so chances were he was going to go back and get them. He's predictable that way. So tonight I will make the salmon, potatoes, and broccoli that I had planned on last night.

It sounds like a really nice date night last night, jeremysgirl. Let us know when Jeremy buys the camping chairs.

Happy Thursday!
I keep thinking it's Friday for some reason. Probably because the next two days are pretty light workwise. I feel ahead of the game because I picked up my groceries yesterday with my Easter stuff to take to my sisters. I'm making Funeral Potatoes so it's nice that I won't have to fight the crowds on Saturday at the store.
Tonight is my grand-nephew's first communion so I'll probably go and see him. The weather is supposed to be in the mid-70s so I broke out the shorts but it will drop back after the weekend. My laundry is shorts, jeans, t-shirts and sweatshirts. Such is spring in DFW.
Hope you all have a great day!

I'm meeting my mum for breakfast at Denny's in an hour ... Yup, she's out of the hospital!!!! They think she just had a bad virus ... a bad thing when you are in your 70's ... I'm picking up a few groceries after breakfast ... Apparently there is a good chance that I will get paid my pension tomorrow ... we'll see. Dinner is up in the air ... depends if I cook or not ...

Happy Thursday! Another day of painters. They should finish up that part first of next week. Still waiting on installation date on the new gutters on the front. The bathroom repairs won't happen until they have the new toilet delivered which is TBD. Happy with the progress and how much better everything is looking.
Today I'm off for a dermatologist visit (routine) and run the errands I still need to get done for the week. Then home to do some sewing this afternoon. Dinner tonight will be rechauffe. Hope everyone has a good day!

Good morning, friends. No news on our end yet. They said the report could take 24-48 hrs and when we went to our Dr, they didn't have any way to read the disk with the images on it! Arrgh. So we wait. Apparently a note that we couldn't see in Mychart from the oulmonologist noted interstitial lung disease but our Dr said that's basically a bucket term so they can order the high contrast ct scan. She is puzzled as it came on quickly like an infection, as opposed to copd or something long term. The internet says a lot about smoking and/asbestos exposure, neither of which are factors here. He doesn't have any change in his symptoms, shortness of breath, coughing, esp when talking a lot. Thank you all for thinking of us and being here. I thought I understood when Peas would say they couldn't share important stuff with their people yet. But now I really do and I'm grateful for the kindness of all of you here, today and every day. I think dinner will be italian beef sandwiches with giardiniera and angel hair pasta. I teach 2 back to back today, so I'll be later than usual. Thankful they are both online. Our big fundraiser event the other night went well, but it was a late night of driving for me, plus the stress of yesterday. I'll be glad when today is done. I don't like wishing time away, but today and tomorrow can zoom by if they want! jeremysgirl, enjoy your new camp chair! 😉 I got us a folding camp chair loveseat/2seater last season and am looking forward to trying it out. We ended up canceling our last planned camping trip due to weather so we didn't get to use it. So comfy, esp when I am sharing with pups too.

jeremysgirl don't worry about it. It was in reference to the office saga post. My first post said " That just sounds awful" But I was referencing a much older post on that thread by mistake where instead I should have said "wishing you the best on the interview" for your most current post on that thread. Sleep deprivation does that to you. scrapmaven ouch to cracked rib! ntsf do they eventually plan to remove the gallbladder? leannec what great news for your mom and I hope you get your pension! tmarschall I hate waiting on medical updates. Sending prayers your way. Catching up on some paperwork. Tonight is rechauffe pasta, kalamata bread and a salad. We tried the kerrygold Irish butter on bread last night and my husband loved it after not wanting to try it forever. LOL

Marina I don't know if you use Tapatalk app but it's crazy sometimes how out of order the posts are. I have to look at the time stamp all the time to see if what I'm looking at is the most recent post. Drives me nuts.

We just arrived home from FIL's funeral service and meal. If we need food, I have frozen appetizers in the freezer and a pizza place nearby.
It is so odd to think that a week ago, he had just arrived at home and we were waiting to meet with the hospice admissions nurse.

I had Walker to the vet today for his shots. He got a rabies shot, distemper booster, kennel cough shot, bloodwork to test for heartworm, 1st heartworm pill of the season, daily vitamins because he’s chewing our deck furniture (might be deficient in something) and deworming medication. All for the low low cost of $459.00. I might need to come out of retirement to pay the vet bills! And that’s just preventative maintenance. Babysitting the grandboys until DS or DDIL get home from working late. DH is grilling himself burgers and will throw a chicken burger in the grill that I will eat when I get home. Thinking of you littlemama

It’s Good Friday morning here, which means today is nearly total shutdown. Thankfully, the cafe up the street from our apartment is open so we were able to get out morning coffee. They are open tomorrow, but not Sunday or Monday, so not sure what we’ll do those two days!
Yesterday afternoon we went up to Sophia’s school to watch the Easter bonnet parade and to cross our fingers for the Easter egg raffle. Parade was lovely with all the little ones proudly showing off their creations. Raffle was a bust, though 3 other kids in Sophia’s class won something. We then brought Sophia back here when school finished, then walked over to the playground opposite for a while, before taking her home to mum and dad. More reading practice - her teacher gave all the kids 5 books for the 2 week vacation period - and then we watched the new Trolls movie. Dinner was take out Thai.

the current thinking is that dh might have to have gallbladder out.. but not immediately. there are stones and sludge there.. but nothing in the duct.
so I am hoping that we can put off this decision til summer. he has his mother's memorial gathering first of may, a cruise to alaska first of june. and then our daughter and her wife are coming up in august to go backpacking, and hanging out.. so somewhere in there...
who knows.. day by day.

jeremysgirl and littlemama, yeah, the Boursin cheese marinara sauce … not a go in regards to my insides. Not a terrible reaction, but who needs it either? Tasted good, but I’ll be back to my non-creamy marinara sauce in future. Meanwhile, I will be finishing off the rechauffe, anyway. scrapmaven, sorry to hear about the cracked rib. Hope you feel 100% soon. Safe travels to you tomorrow. jeremysgirl, funny about Jeremy and the camp chair. cadoodlebug, I tried but I still don’t get the cartoon. tmarschall, I know how stressful it can be, waiting for test results. Try not to borrow trouble. ntsf, I’m so sorry about the missed eclipse trip. But glad DH is feeling better. Hugs to you and yours, littlemama.

Forgot to say, I may not eat any dinner, since I’ve been sitting here eating ALL THE EASTER CANDY. But if I do eat dinner, it will be the rechauffe pasta with Boursin sauce. Plus veggies if I’m feeling energetic. Or maybe just the veggies.

taylortroop do you have dog insurance? After my last dog I got it for our puppy since goldens love to eat everything they see. I bought the one without preventative care. We have gotten more back than we have put in so far. At one point with our last dog they were quoting $20,000 for a possible surgery to extend life for 2 months and might not even work. Vet care and hospitals are so high now. jeremysgirl I have not tried Tapatalk. I've been thinking about it as sometimes it's difficult using my phone browser.

My ex is a vet surgeon. He currently is sailing dd & sil around the Caribbean on his sailboat along with a full crew and chef. Apparently they make bank. 😂 Luke will barely eat anything I give him. He’s been feeding poppy a lot of his food and now she doesn’t want to walk or even go outside. We had veggie subs for dinner and literally nothing else. My back is killing me from picking him up.
