I discovered last night that my credit card had been hacked. So, in front of dh and the kids, I had to go through each of the credit card purchases for the last month (by speakerphone). It was very embarrassing, and my husband, of course, told me that I needed spend less money. Ugh!

I bought 15 apples, three different kinds, to make apple sauce for Easter dinner (roast pork) at my sister’s house. She’s sick (not a FWP, a sad one) and I had to use the apples to make apple crisp for dessert at my house. I'm sorry that karenlou is sick, but that will be a delicious apple crisp using 3 different kinds of apples. Yes, sad that she’s sick. I actually ended up using 5 different varieties of apples! I had two different ones already!

A tiny slat on the top of our bedroom plantation shutters broke. (When you try to open or close the slats, this one just stayed shut.) DH called to get it fixed, both of us thinking they'd just send some guy to reanchor it or whatever. Nooo, they removed the whole shutter. DH didn't think to ask how long it would be gone. It's now been 5 mornings, and our bedroom has a whole wall of windows that faces due east/southeast. We are bombarded with sun in the mornings, and of course, we have zero covering on a major bedroom window. Our house sits up kind of high and our room is visible from a main street. (Strong morning sun and visibility being why we have highly effective shutters!) And we still don't know when it'll be returned. Can you tack up a bedsheet over the window?

We had a lovely roast lamb lunch earlier. It’s now 8pm and I’m peckish but not sure what I fancy. Could be worse eh? 😄

I had two different ones already! At our former home in the country, the neighbour had a small apple orchard that he would let me glean after harvest. He had Mutsu, Golden Delicious, Courtland, MacIntosh and about 4 other varieties. I made the best apple pies /crisps /sauce during the years we lived there. I'm at the various apple combinations. Enjoy!

FWP discovering Target is closed as I got there for my pick up order. I was not paying attention since we don’t do much in our family for Easter I forgot it was today although even if I had remembered I probably would have assumed Target was still open. Oh well.

Neighbors who have nothing in their driveway, space for 4 vehicles but all their visitors park on the street every darn time. The neighbors put both cars in the garage all the time, but every time they have visitors the visitors park on the street.

I can fit 3 cars across, so plenty of room. He came over for Easter and once again parked in the street.

Can you tack up a bedsheet over the window? In theory, yes, but for some reason, probably structural, the beam over said window is metal so there's just a thin layer of drywall then metal.

The neighbors put both cars in the garage all the time, but every time they have visitors the visitors park on the street. My next door neighbour leaves his driveway clear and parks out on the road several days either side of the day they're expecting a visitor or trades person. There's not enough parking around us as it is and to see his drive empty and a road space taken up unnecessarily for several days irks me to an entirely illogical degree.
