Happy Easter Everyone! (I don't really celebrate it but I love the decorations and snacks! ) Here is what I posted on Facebook today ... please forgive me but I thought "Creepy Easter" was hilarious! I won't be doing much today because I have Covid ... I am soooo tired and I have an annoying cough ... I have had Covid once before and the symptoms were similar ... I'm pretty lucky ... This makes going to Easter Dinner a non-issue ... my mum's retirement residence is still on lockdown anyway so I wouldn't be able to go there ... What are you up to today? How is everyone feeling? How are your loved ones feeling? What is on your menu tonight? Have a relaxing Easter Sunday everybody!

We had our family dinner yesterday and it was delicious. It was chaos for awhile with 7 adults, 3 kids and a rowdy dog all in the same small house. Why do kids yell when they communicate? As always I love having the family together but love the quiet when they all leave. Today is a chill day. My mom will come over later for leftovers. leannec: Rest lots today. Hope you’re feeling better.

I just got sick so staying home. Finally a GI doc came by.. and gave good information, laid out a logical plan of action and my dh feels much better about things. he has been so frustrated by the lack of coordinated care, lack of clear communication.. and then you add brain fog and it has been tough.
so he is hoping the doc comes by today after his scans of yesterday. he was allowed to eat a real meal and so far so good. his last labs look worse.
so I don't know what is for dinner.. maybe just scrambled eggs.

Kinda already got over her with kids for Easter and birthday. Today it's just me and DS, no work, and apparently that's the theme. Lazy day so far. May make individual naan pizzas later. Or something else. The usual actually, punt!
Happy Easter if you celebrate and happy Day everyone else.

We are headed to my cousins house in about an hour and a half for dinner. Not sure what we’re having. It’s either ham or a homemade pasta then when we come home I’ll help my mom finish. Unpacking her car. It got delivered yesterday.

I was supposed to be hosting Easter dinner with KelleeM, her adult children and Ally, along with my brother, however I have been sick since I got home from Vegas. I finally bit the bullet and went to urgent care yesterday. I have the flu...no wonder I feel like I was hit by a truck!!! Yesterday was spent in bed sleeping the day away...and of course coughing up a lung😱 I am taking my meds and not doing anything besides resting...trying to stay away from DH so he doesn't get sick...of course I had my flu shot.. he never did...the whole leading a horse to water thing in this house.
Leannec...Hope you feel better. taylor troop...Glad you had a good family gathering... ntsf..sorry you are sick as well...Glad your DH is getting some answers/plan of care

Good grief, we're a sickly bunch! We had to cut our walk short because of my lower back/right buttocks pain. Can't wait to see my chiropractor in the morning. Well wishes for all who need them, take care of yourselves. Dinner is undecided. Raley's will help me figure it out. Happy Easter to those who celebrate! leannec , you inspired me to share this:

I made ham, au gratin potatoes and roasted asparagus for dinner. Dd brought deviled eggs and blueberry tarts. I also made apple crisp and have vanilla ice cream to go with it. We already ate but haven’t had dessert yet.

I'm sorry that you're ill, leannec, karenlou and ntsf. I hope that you all feel much better by tmw. ntsf, I hope that they'll come up w/a gameplan to get your dh feeling well and back home. "I'm not just going to be ignored, Dan!" cadoodlebug and everyone else, I hope you'll get the reference. I remember walking out of the theater after seeing Fatal Attraction and all of the husbands were swearing that they'd never have an affair. Hehe. Happy Easter!

Brunch was in a lovely restaurant in Niagara on the Lake overlooking Lake Ontario. It was so very festive and there was so much food to select from.
Salads, Italian antipesto, brunchy items of all kinds, hot dishes, fruit, roasts that were sliced along with chicken & fish selections. And DESSERTS!
Easter has been celebrated. The dgs was the driver for his family. He's doing very well at driving. He has been driving since he was 10 at his grandpa's farm on the tractor and truck. Just itching for the day to come when he can be tested and to be able to drive alone!

Good Monday morning from me! We had Easter lunch at my sister’s house yesterday - 16 adults and 3 little ones. Roast lamb and chicken and 5 to 6 different vegetables, all with gravy. Naturally, also lots of chocolates, including very decadent chocolate brownies with caramel bits. When DH and I got home, we just ate the leftover Chinese food from Saturday for our dinner - it was just enough.
Today is going to be busy - we are o to the museum soon to see the Titanic artefacts exhibition, then we’ll go to visit my auntie in her nursing home. We’ve just done covid tests, which were negative, so we are allowed to visit. We are then having dinner with DH’s younger brother.
Please send good thoughts and prayers this way - DH’s nephew and his wife welcomed baby #2 this week, a little girl. Sadly, it was only at 27.5 weeks gestation and she is only about 1.5lb, so they have a long road ahead to taking home a healthy baby.

I probably sound like a broken record, but I would be pushing to just have the gallbladder removed. It is an easy surgery and it’s gonna have to happen anyways. Pancreatitis will come back if it’s gallbladder isn’t removed just my two cents

Oh boy, what's happening at the dinner table? So many people are not well. I hope you're all feeling better soon. sueg what a scary time for your DH's nephew and wife. I hope their sweet little girl will be okay. Seeing that I was unable to go to dad's for brunch and enjoy the traditional quail egg & pancetta tart, I decided that I would make one myself for DSO and I. I went to the Asian grocer to get quail eggs on Saturday, but they were sold out. I could have driven to another one 10 minutes away, but I couldn't be bothered. I thought I'd just make it with chook eggs. So Sunday morning comes, and I go to the outside freezer to get the puff pastry..... oh that's right, one of DS's mates turned the freezer off by mistake the week before, and everything defrosted, so DSO tossed it out. He went to the shops later to get some pastry so we could have the tart for dinner. Well, the tart did not taste very nice. I had a suspicion what the problem might be...... I checked the packet and sure enough, DSO had bought vegan pastry - egg free, dairy free, every bloody thing free. Ugh. It really was awful. This is not the first time he has accidentally bought vegan products by mistake. The most notable time was when he bought Beef less and Black Bean Sauce for DS. There have been other similar purchases over the years. You'd think he would have learned to check properly by now!

scrapmaven, I remember watching Fatal Attraction at the movie theater and my mouth dropped open at the very erotic scene between Glenn Close and Michael Douglas in the kitchen. She had always played very demure, good girl, angelic roles and this was the complete opposite!

thanks christine58.. dh is just following what the doc recommends.. they are rather confused as to why dh has problems with gallbladder.. he does not fit the usual profile. I don't know if that is why a more conservative route is being considered.

Happy Easter if you celebrate. Dd2 and I went to church at 7. Then came home and got everything ready for lunch. Ham,cheesy potatoes, asparagus, salad and pavlova made by sil2 Thought you’d like to see it AussieMeg. I hope you don’t get covid too. ntsf I hope they take his gb out. He’ll just keep having attacks otherwise. I’m sorry so many are sick lately. tmarschall nodules can be caused by other things than cancer and they’ll just monitor them annually or with increased symptoms. I love the memes today.
