Another i'm updating my life from pc to mac. I have quicken from an old disc so I didn't have to buy a subscription every year. I've googled and found what I thought was a download for 1 "user" which seemed like it would be what i'd want, don't need updates, etc.
But in searching around, i'm not sure that is the case, seems like I might need to pay next year for subscription? Anyone familiar and know more about this?

I was going to suggest the really old, but free Microsoft Money, but I see you've gone to the dark side. LOL I love that old Money program. I do all my accounting with it. Works SO dang good and I am happy they still issue the software (but don't support it) It's called Sunset now - if that is an indicator of something old! I can download my monthly bank statement and load it right into Money. I just go in and add the Payee name and my expense/income classification. At the end of the year I print out my tax report. My accountant told me I do a really good job and it makes his job super easy!

I use a very old quicken which I updated from an extremely old version. There are free downloads online I think but they are older and not sure they are available for MAC but it would be worth checking.

I’ve done that before with other software that I couldn’t buy elsewhere for an older computer.

Can you do an Excel or other file like .csv download from your online bank account that's free? Quicken seems overkill to pay extra with all the new updates and online subscriptions.
