Ones that are past the expiration date?

If they're still sealed, yes.
ETA I probably should have asked how long expired. That would make a difference to me.
A year or less, definitely.

I have never worn or had contacts, but I consider eyes priceless. They cannot be replaced. I do not risk my eyes, period.

No...and I'm a calculated risk taker when it comes to expiry dates. For example I wouldn't think twice about taking an expired drug, I don't know why exactly they expire, but I assume it's either because they are at risk of contamination or the material degrading...and I've had eye issues in the past and they are not fun, so I wouldn't risk putting anything in my eye that could do any damage or cause an infection...no matter how small the risk is.
Maybe a few days over, but that would be my limit.

Yes.
As long as the seal is intact and there’s still liquid inside when you open them.

How far past the expiration date? Is it three months or three years? My answer would be dependent on the length of time.

Absolutely not. I'm OK with a little past the expiration date on some things (some medications, food depending on what it is and how long past), but not contact lenses, even if they're sealed in the package with plenty of solution. Too much risk of the material degrading and causing damage, or potential contamination.

It was a discussion we were having at home. I think it would depend on how far out they were expired.

I wore contact lenses for many years, all throughout my late teens to early 30s, until I had laser surgery. I never wore disposable lenses, I had the ones that had to be cleaned and soaked every night, and I was very good about not wearing them for too long, and cleaning them every night. I haven't worn contact lenses for nearly 25 years. I had to go and see a corneal specialist a few months ago, and he said that the issues I were having, whilst not severe at the moment, were caused by scarring due to wearing contact lenses in the past. My optometrist thought it might have been due to scarring from the laser surgery, but the specialist said nope. All of that was a long winded way of explaining why no, I would NOT wear expired contact lenses. It's not worth the risk, to me. (I regularly eat yoghurt that is many weeks past the use-by / best-before date, so I'm not a panic merchant. )

Probably not as I have put expired contact solution in my eyes and it is not a good result!!

I have worn contacts for over 40 years. I take expired medications but I would not wear expired contacts.

Yes, if sealed and if daily ones. My eye dr. gave me, like expired the next day, potentially to get rid of his stash as I have a terrible prescription, -8.00. If sealed, yes definitely, but depends on the contact type- like dailies, overnight, silicone vs water-based. In a pinch, yes definitely. Long-term, depends.

I'm iffy on it only because I had a random serious eye infection a while back, even though that probably wasn't from contacts. (I hadn't had them on in almost two weeks)
After that, I switched to dailies just to ease my anxiety about it. I always check my order to make sure the expiration dates are far off.

If they are a week expired and I had no other options, probably. If they are a year expired, no

A month or two, yes... six months or more no. in-between that time, I would probably do it if I had to, if I had no other way of seeing.. I am blind without glasses. As long as sealed.

A year or so, or less, sealed and kept in a dark cool place - I would.
I also take mine out every night, even if they are the sleep in kind.

It is the preservative they are sealed in that expires. A little past the expiration, yes, a year past, no.
