I have this old Tupperware cake holder that’s kind of like the one in the video. My fear is that the top/handle piece falls off. So I place the whole thing in a huge bag, which defeats the purpose of the container. This video confirmed my fears are accurate.

We had some friends over for Easter one year. I made an Easter bunny cake, complete with green colored coconut for grass. Put it on the kitchen table, went into the living room to chat with friends who are not dog people. My little 14 lb dog managed to climb up the pushed in chairs and eat part of the cake. Our friends were appalled and passed on dessert, so we did too…… until they left! Then I simply cut off the part our dog got to and carried on. More for us! 😬

Well, I guess technically, the “dirty” part is stuck to the road so the rest is “clean”. 🤣

More for us! 😬 I had family over for Christmas and put out a cheeseball and crackers. Apparently one of my dogs, walked by, took a bite and walked on. My cousin brought me the cheeseball and told me what happened. I just cut out that part and we all enjoyed it later so I probably wouldn't be fazed by a bit of 'sidewalk cupcakes.'

More for us! 😬 I had bought some sub sandwichs from Quizno's years ago (when they were SO good). That was a real treat, as we didn't eat out much. I had gotten them for just DH and I at lunch, the kids were in school. I unloaded all my groceries and came out to find a damn farm cat eating MY SANDWICH! I was devastated. I cut the 'cat' end off and gave it to my husband. LOL In all fairness - I did tell him, he wasn't fazed. I love the Pea's!

I have a few containers like that and I *NEVER* trust those little clips to keep the two parts together, nor do I ever carry it by the handle unless it’s empty. Even my pie plates are heavy glass so the smaller ones are also a no go. I just made a three layer lemon raspberry cake a couple weeks ago and that thing was SO heavy. There was no way I was trusting that cake holder!
So I guess that girl can’t be me, LOL.

I would not trust that cake holder either. I always carry it by holding the base.
My dog was caught licking the end of a raw marinated tri-tip. We cut off that end and tossed it.
Oh and I would do a clean cut off the top and do fresh frosting maybe with something like strawberries.

My kid had a big bake sale coming up at school, and my mom was visiting..
My mom makes incredible zucchini, and banana breads, so she made somewhere close to 10 loaves.
She left them out to cool, and an hour or so later she is reading my (ex) husband the riot act. Apparently, he’d pinched the ends of a lot of them and sampled them (he was known to be the “taster” type.
He swore up and down he didn’t do it and left in a huff. A little later, my mom caught one of my dogs nibbling the ends. She didn’t regularly get human food, and she never stole food before that, or after. So my mom baked another 10 loaves, but made sure they were out of her reach to cool. Those went to the bake sale.
The remaining loaves that had been nibbled? She cut the ends off of them, wrapped them in aluminum foil and gave them out to whoever was perfectly OK with that. We ate ours. Hahaha!
ETA: gave them out to friends that knew the story… not at the bake sale lol

One of my family’s favourite “mummy fail” stories is about the time I ate chewed up spat out floor salami when my kids were little. So definitely me except I’m not in the correct hemisphere 😇😂

Yup. That would be me…black cloud and no problems eating street food. I guarantee I have eaten worse. With All the animal stories I am like ya, why wouldn’t you still eat it. Cut away the offending part and move on.
The funny part is my brother would be the exact opposite. Very germ conscious, etc. How did people at the extreme ends of each side grow up in the same house. Hahaha. 😄
