I love your spring decor leannec! Dinner here is going to be ribs, pasta salad and a veggie of some kind, probably leftover cauliflower from last night.

leannec - I love those bunny cushions! Ordinary Sunday here. Church with our dear, elderly priest. Today was a good day for him - he didn’t change back to German at any point and his sermon was lovely. Had a chat to a few of my 1st Communion parents about details they needed to know - only 2 weeks to go! DH is at the airport - his plane was delayed by nearly 2 hours, so he won’t get to Gothenburg until nearly 8pm. Heard from DS - his FiL is out of danger at the moment, but has major damage in the language part of his brain, both receptive and expressive. He keeps dropping back to Italian, which is his native language (he immigrated to Australia in his early 20s) and is struggling with answers to questions unless they are yes/no. His wife is already in a nursing home after several strokes left her unable to live at home, so we really have no idea what the future holds for both of them. Dinner tonight for me is something with ground beef - probably my chow mein mince as I have lots of vegetables that need to be used up.

I love all of those adorable bunnies, leannec . The bunnies underneath your table are so cute. You made the bunnies match your decor, perfectly. They fit in so well. Thank you for asking. It's just a virus of some sort. I'm just bummed, cause I don't wanna be sick. Think pouty little kid. I'm thinking of you, too. lucyg . I hope that your sister is healing and that her pain is under better control. sueg, I'm so sorry to hear about your ddil's dad. Sounds like a long recovery, but w/hard work, hopefully he can regain his skills. My heart goes out to your dil. I'm not sure what dh will have for dinner. I'm guessing he might have tacos or gyoza and rice. He's in charge of the kitchen right now. Enjoy a relaxing, fun Sunday!

Good morning! Not much planned for today, just tinkering around the house. I need to finish transferring my winter clothes to spring clothes. It’s taking longer than normal because I’m trying everything on. With my weight loss, I need new summer stuff and I’ll have lots to donate.
I’m having some pressure in my chest lately. It happened before and I saw a cardiologist who did a stress test, an echocardiogram and I wore a heart monitor for 5 days. He declared my heart in perfect shape and told me to go live my life. I really think it’s anxiety. I honestly don’t have much stress in my life but I’ve been thinking and worrying about lots of stuff lately. I wake up in the night and can’t go back to sleep because a million things are running through my head. I was on a blood pressure pill that helped with anxiety but it made my blood pressure dropped too low so she took me off it. I have a dr appt in a couple weeks so I will mention it again.
We haven’t booked a cruise. My friend decided she can’t go until next summer so we are going to wait and see if the prices come down a bit. Money might as well be in my bank account rather than the cruise lines account.
Supper tonight will be wraps made from leftover grilled chicken.

scrapmaven - it all just makes me want to go home. I feel that it won’t be long before DH and I are the only grandparents my sweet girls will have, and I want to be there for them. Add in the current situations in Ukraine and the Middle East and I’d rather be far away from it all.

taylortroop , would a little bit of therapy help both your insomnia and your anxiety? You don't have to suffer w/this stuff. You deserve to have a happy, peaceful life and you can have that. There are also SSRI's for anxiety and of course, my go-to for everything, acupuncture. It relaxes me more than anything else. It's OK to say "OW" in your out loud voice and let others support you. Can you cruise in the fall rather than the summer, so that you have less kids, better prices and a nicer trip? ((((HUGS)))).
sueg, can you go home? Does your dh need to be in Munich or can he transfer to Australia? I know how much you miss your girls, but you also have a very good life in Germany. What do you want to do?

DH and I were both exhausted after our 30 hour trip so we slept for a solid 8 hours. Just got back from a 3 mile walk. I thought I'd post a picture of my *besties minus one* from Friday. It was so good seeing them after 5 or 6 years. (That's me on the left.) Not sure what's for dinner, I need to go to Raley's. leannec, love your adorable decorations. sueg sorry about DDIL's dad. scrapmaven, take care of yourself and get well soon!

Happy Sunday!
I woke up before the dog again but at least it wasn't at 6 am today. My body just naturally wants to wake up around 7 whether I need to or not.
Today I'm just relaxing and doing some laundry, playing Dreamlight Valley and watching TV. I ran a couple of errands for my parents and picked up my grocery order for the week. Annoyingly, my mom didn't tell me the groceries she wanted until I got home so I'm debating whether to make a store trip or not. The whole point of a grocery order is that I don't have to go to the store! I've been on parental duty all weekend and I'm feeling a little spicy right now.
Nor sure what I'm doing for dinner yet. I was supposed to go out with the parents, but dad ate a big lunch at about 1:30 and I ate early today so I'll be hungry before they're ready. It takes a village to take care of parents!
Hope you have a great day!

Welp, I spent my morning finishing The Goblet of Fire. Damn it was good. I enjoyed it immensely.
I'm almost done washing my bedding and I've got cookie dough chilling in the fridge. Making some chocolate peanut butter swirl cookies. The peanut butter dough feels softer than the chocolate so I'm nervous how this is going to go.
Jeremy's making burgers tonight with tater tots. I have not had a burger in a very long time.
In other news, I haven't had a cigarette in three days. So there's that.

Thanks for the suggestions. I honestly don’t think I need therapy. My best friend is a therapist and is also a great listener. I don’t feel like I’m stressed, I’m an overthinker. I need to be able to shut off my brain for awhile at times. scrapmaven: I have a great life and I enjoy it everyday. I don’t feel like I’m missing out on anything. Retirement has been wonderful and now that DH is well, we are enjoying it even more.

It’s cold & sunny here. I was going to make pot roast gyros for dinner but they only had huge roasts and I literally have no room in my freezer for a big piece. So I got pork tenderloin. I usually make a balsamic sauce for it but no balsamic. I used red wine vinegar but not the same. Nice picture cadoodlebug

In other news, I haven't had a cigarette in three days. So there's that. Well done - it is not an easy thing to do - been there done that - but the benefits are certainly worth it. Don't think in terms of days or weeks you just have to get through the next hour by hour.

Hi everyone. Another day of open houses today, and another day of having to get out of the house. There's been a bunch of people through, several expressed interest - but no offers yet though. One guy - Paul - came through last weekend on the Saturday, and had a few things he didn't like but wanted his wife to see it. they came back the next day and said there were too many issues with it. And then stood in the driveway telling other people about all the things they thought were wrong with it! My agent had to ask them to leave. Then yesterday he came back AGAIN! The thinking is that they want the house but don't want to pay what I'm asking and that by complaining they will scare me into lowering the price, and also scare away anyone else from buying it. But they haven't made an offer, not even a lowball one. leannec - I love your paris chair! And your spring decorating is adorable! sueg - continued prayers for his FIL scrapmaven I hope you are feeling better soon! taylortroop that has to be scary! cadoodlebug that's a great photo! lucyg I hope your sister is doing well teacherlisa I love her! I watched her cooking show all the time. And her new boyfriend is pretty cute too
