Good morning. Today let's hold our wonderful jeremysgirl in our thoughts and prayers for an easy hand surgery, a very comfortable, quick recovery and a benign outcome. May her doctors be reassuring and comforting. We all know that Jeremy will take unbelievable care of her and that makes me feel confident that she is in very good hands. I'm goign to acupuncture to day in order to kick this stupid thing out of my system. I just know that she'll do her thing and I'll come out of this feeling blissful. Dh will possibly have the soup bao that he didn't have the other day. What's on your menu? What are you up to this week? lucyg, how is your sister doing? How are you? May this week, bring healing for those who need it, happiness and calm for all!

Happy Monday! Sending healing thoughts to jeremysgirlI've got a pretty busy week at work so I'm hoping that will make the days go faster. I'm just not ready for this Monday and wish I had another day off. No more time off until Memorial Day though so I have to suck it up. Dinner tonight will be a chicken and stuffing casserole with salad and bread. Hope you all have a great day!

I have a chiropractic appointment this morning and will hit Raley's for a few things on my way home. Then laundry and some other chores. jeremysgirl , wishing you an easy time and an easier recovery. Enjoy your reading time! scrapmaven, enjoy your bliss! Dinner will be spaghetti and meatballs with sauce I made yesterday. We ended up having corned beef and cabbage yesterday so I had two big pots going on the stove! Best photo bomb ever!

We will have rechauffe lasagna that I made yesterday. We did not start on the bathroom because the shower did not ship in all one piece...why?? It is sold as a set. So we can't start until we have the shower base. Grrrrr The store is working with the vendor and will give us money off when it does arrive. Should have been in the store for pick up April 9-11. Oh well. This week's weather is supposed to be all over the place. Warm, rain, cold, thunderstorms, wind. The weather on my computer says temps to plummet. Enjoying seeing the sun for now.

Happy Monday everyone! I have had a horrible time the past week on the site here trying to get it to work. It keeps kicking me out not letting me like things just very glitchy. I am fixing smoked sausage, corn, sweet potatoes and parmesan noodles for dinner. Thinking of jeremysgirl saying prayers!

Good evening. This week is pretty easy here. DH is away until tomorrow night, so my time is my own. The weather is still going to be col, but a lot less r, so hopefully I’ll get some more walking in. I spoke to DS and Sophia this morning. His FiL is doing better - Sophia told me very cheerfully that ‘ Nonno could get out of bed in the hospital today. On the weekend, he had to stay in bed all the time’. I am taking this as a good sign. They were waiting on mum to do bedtime, as she was still visiting, so I guess she would have more detail. Lucia joined in the call for a bit too. She is still not very talkative, but was showing me her new shoes (they are shiny and red) and tried to kiss the phone when we said goodbye. I also had some fun with work forms. We are changing the agency who will pay salaries, so new paperwork is required. I spent hours yesterday translating the forms and finding the information I needed - tax number, retirement insurance number and the like and sent them off. I got a reply later, saying that the person I charge of organising the finances had been told the wrong thing about my status, and thought I was on contract, rather than working on a casual basis. Seems I don’t need to fill out all the forms in that case! Dinner tonight is chicken. It will be pan fried and I’ll make a sauce - just not sure yet if I’ll do mushrooms and white wine or tomato and olives. Pasta and a green vegetable on the side. jeremysgirl - I hope all goes well with your hand surgery today. scrapmaven - you asked yesterday about DH’s job and us returning to Australia. His job has to be based in Europe, as that’s where the head office is. The company doesn’t have any jobs at DH’s level or above, so we can’t transfer back with them. It would have to be either a different company or him deciding to go freelance/consulting, which isn’t really an option right now. So we’ll likely be here until he retires, which should be in the next 3-5 years.

sueg, I wish that you could be w/your darling girls all the time, but you've created a good life in Germany and you are able to enjoy visits. Good to hear that your dil's dad was able to get out of bed. He'll be in rehab for a bit. You're such a kind and lovely person that I always want you to have the good stuff.

Hi friends! Dinner this week is veggie beef stew. I should put some rolls out to defrost. I fell back asleep for a few hours after DH went to work. I'm a little sniffly right now, but hopefully the post-lunch Allegra will help with that. We'll see how the next few days go if I need to follow up (again) with the allergist. scrapmaven I hope you're on the mend soon! Tearisci Hopefully it will go by quickly for you! I have a busy week of meetings and appointments, and also no days off between now and Memorial Day. cadoodlebug All of that sounds very tasty! scrappert It was warm here for the better part of the weekend, but I wound up closing the window last night because it was getting a little too chilly for my liking. But it should bounce back the rest of the week. Which probably means more pollen. Yay. hutchfan That sounds soo good! sueg I'm glad to hear that your son's FIL is getting better. jeremysgirl Sending best wishes!

Happy Monday! Glorious weather has returned and the humidity is gone until Wed. DH had his PET scan this morning and is on his way home. The contractors showed up at 8 am to work on some repairs in the master bedroom/bathroom. We are changing all the hinges on the wardrobe and bathroom cabinet doors to self closing hinges. I fought with the last contractor to add them and got nowhere with him (long story). Finally had the chance and funds to get them changed. They will be taking the old toilet away today, then doing the tile work around it tomorrow. Should have the new toilet in place on Wed. Fingers crossed they finish up today's work by lunch so I can take a nap this afternoon. Stressed about DH so I was awake at 4:00 am. Otherwise it is an ironing day for me. Not sure what dinner will be but the fridge is well stocked with fresh produce and meats so hopefully inspiration will strike by then. jeremysgirl - Thinking of you as you have your hand surgery today.

**GypsyGirl**, when will dh get the results of his PET scan? My prayers are w/you both. BTW-I took my fab-o new makeup bag on my trip w/dh and it's perfect. Everything fits well and it's so cute. I'm sorry that I didn't write a thank you note, but I don't have your address and I should have asked. THANK YOU! Ladies, it's adorable and I will find a way to post a photo.

Not sure when we will get the results. It's through Methodist and typically the results of scans are on his MyChart account within 48 hours. This is the first PET scan though so not sure of the turn around time. He has a bone scan on May 1, then will meet with his oncologist to discuss the results and treatment plan if needed. Thank you for your prayers It's exciting to hear of people using the things I make! Now that the sewing room is in a better state after the quilt guild garage sale on Saturday I need to get back to making more goodies! It's a good way to calm my mind and anxiety.

I'm bored. I'm just laying here in bed waiting to have surgery and my surgeon is running behind. I hungry too and I forget who's having the spaghetti and meatballs but that's what I want. So if you guys couldn't just send Jeremy the talents to make some spaghetti and meatballs, I'd appreciate it. 😂

jeremysgirl , perhaps you could ask Jeremy to pick up spaghetti and meatballs from a good Italian restaurant for tmw night's dinner. Tonight you might not be that hungry. It varies. Surgeries often are very delayed. Mine hardly ever happen on time. I should have warned you that it could be a waiting game.
karenlou, could you please share your turkey meatloaf recipe? It sounds like a total dh dinner.

Good Afternoon! I took the entire week off work! I want to get caught up on some things around the house. I was really hoping the weather would hold out so I could wash windows but today is the only nice day this week and I had a bunch of errands to run in town. I'm sitting here listening to music and working on my Project Life. scrappert our weather is going to be the same. Today is so nice but the rain starts tomorrow morning and brings a cold front. It will be in the 70's by teh weekend though. jeremysgirl good luck! scrapmaven I really hope the acupuncture helps. Dinner is going to be beef tenderloin filets on the grill.

Sister is better today, alert, but still in pain. She was going to call the doctor to discuss pain relief when I left her house earlier this afternoon. Nothing too exciting going on here otherwise. I’m going to try to make some scrapbook pages when I get off the internet shortly. Rather than working on organizing my craft things, which is what I should actually be doing. Back East sister and DD went out to lunch with my mom and brother today to celebrate her 95th birthday. That was enough people. She doesn't do well with too big a crowd. I’ll see her tomorrow. Dinner … chicken from the freezer, zucchini, and some sweet potatoes I want to use up. Feel better wishes to jeremysgirl.

I did a lot of nothing today. However, I did finish moving my clothes around and now I have a big bag to donate.
DS finally made it to Winnipeg at midnight last night. His flight left at 2:15 pm and he was supposed to have a short layover. The next flight was delayed and instead of 2.5 hours, it took 9 hrs to finally get there. Then he had to be in class at 7 am this morning.
Supper tonight was take out pizza.
