My main goal is to be kinder. I don't mean just superficially, but a genuine understand that we all walk our own difficult paths and deserve to be treated with compassion and respect. I want the kindness to be genuine, and to be able to look at someone-not in judgement, but in love. Goofy as all hell I know. But the truth of the matter is that I am feeling harsh lately and I don't like that one little bit. I hate feeling judgy and mean spirited. I want to have the gentleness of spirit that I used to have. Wow. This is kind of awesome.

Just be healthier.
I feel like last year I did a science experiment with my body. I worked out 4-5 days a week for the first 5 months of the year. I lost almost no weight. (and I have about 30lbs to lose). But, I was surprised at the number of inches I lost. Unfortunately I developed tennis elbow very badly in both arms (still trying to get over. Between that injury and the first semester of school being extremely busy - I stopped working out at all.
So, now I've gained weight, - about 7 lbs, lost all muscle, and just feel awful about myself.
In 2015 I want to get back to working out. I hope to find something I enjoy & remember to listen to my body & not get injured. I hope to *not* stop working out. I hope to remember that even if I don't see results on the scale, I've proven to myself that working out does tone your body enough to make your clothes fit better. I'm not gonna put the pressure of "by opening day at the pool I need to lose xx lbs" on myself...but instead realize that if I just lose 2 lbs a month that's 24 lbs. That would be so close to my goal weight, and actually seems doable.
And I hope to figure out how to not overeat when I'm feeling overwhelmed. I'm the working mom of 3 busy kids who pretty much does it all on her own due to dh's work travel schedule. I know many people manage this - but my personality is not great with mutli tasking, or being crazy busy. I'm a one step at a time, relax and reflect at the end of the day kind of person - and when I cannot do this, I feel stressed and out of sorts - and my go to comfort has always been a snack. or two. or three.
I'd really like to make some progress in this area.

As I am purging: buy less totes, office supplies, paper stuff generally? Jesus. Who knew I had a thing for bookmarks.

Start walking after work again. Clean my scrap room so I can actually scrap in there. Buy fresh flowers for my home more often.

I don't make resolutions per say as I'm always trying to better myself and be a better person. Some of the goals I'm currently working on and want to stick with are:
- Continue getting healthy. I was able to lose and keep off about 15 lbs this year. I wish it had been more but it is what it is. Slow and steady and all that jazz. I'd like this to be the year I fall below the 200 lb mark. It'll be the first time in my adult life.
- I want to cut down on screen time. TV, internet, phone, etc. I feel like I could be a better mom, wife, & person if I disconnected a bit more and DID more. This one is/will be the hardest for me. I love my interwebz. But I've said on more than one occasion that I don't have time to _____________ yet from 7-10pm each night, I'm sitting on my butt with my laptop out and the tv on. SO many other things I could be doing.
- I want to do better listening to my kids. I often half listen or rush them through what they're trying to say because I'm "busy" doing something else. I should never be too busy to listen to them...REALLY listen.
- DH and I have a fantastic relationship. We never, ever fight, we love doing things together, etc. But I'd like to really focus on doing more date nights and things by ourselves. It's still difficult because we still need a babysitter and it makes a date night pricey. But I feel once a year, maybe twice, is just not enough.
- My biggest focus this year is get some bills paid off, make a strict budget and stick to it, adopt a "less is more" attitude and not be all willy nilly with money.
- Find a way to give back to others through some sort of volunteering

1. To be more open and less guarded. 2. In 2014 I lost around 85lbs so now I just want to get toned and maintain it 3. Run a race of some sort 3. Put myself out there more...that kind of goes along with being more open and less guarded 4. improve my study skills/and actually plan time out to do my classes rather than scurry the last minute
Those are a few. This year there are a ton....

After a lot of thought, here's my 2015 goals. Some of these are very minor, and some are bigger. I just like to have attainable goals, and think it's important to have them in multiple categories to not neglect any part of my life. Today I'm working on a goal tracker sheet. (obviously I could have simplified this to post here, but easier to copy/paste)

• Weights 3/week and cardio 2/week - complete 21 Day Fix & Les Mills Pump
• Lose 30 pounds by 5/19/15 (6 months after joining)
• Goal Weight by 9/17/15 (my birthday - 34 pounds from my 11/14 join date, 64 total)
