I have to paint two rooms.
Then switch the occupants.
I've been working on fixing the one room for months, and I'm just about ready to paint, but I'm just dreading it.
I'm dreading moving the furniture (did I mention the rooms are on different floors?).
I'm dreading not messing up the painting.
I'm dreading all the work, to be honest.
And no, I can't hire it out. It's not even a possibility for me financially.
I can't wait for it to be done. I know it will be wonderful. It's just such a huge undertaking.
So, am I alone? Does anyone else have a project or something they have to do just hanging over them?

I have a couple rooms to paint too, but have to wait for DD to get her room cleaned and sorted, in order to do so... let's just say that her room has been hit by an EF6 tornado, not even kidding. What you imagine, is not as bad as it is. She wants it painted, which I am 100% willing to do, and not dreading even. We also have another room that needs painted (it's lavender, and is going to a more neutral color). But I want to do them at the same time for obvious prep/materials reasons. Neither room impacts me though, so whenever is fine with me.
My big project is just cleaning up from Christmas...we haven't really put anything away yet. We kind of just leave things out and all have fun 'playing' with our new stuff. By tomorrow night, it will at least find the appropriate room in the house, then it's up to each person to get it put away. The tree and décor will come down next weekend probably.

I did a major purge in the basement about a few months ago so I have a bunch of boxes to haul out to donate. I also have about 30 boxes of old files from DH's business that had finally met the 7 yr requirement. I need to call a shredding co when we get back from FL but they will all have to be moved up to the garage first and those things are heavy!

Organization. My old stuff needs to get donated and the new stuff put away. This will take a few hours and I am mentally preparing myself for the challenge. After I go to work, workout, nap, paint my nails, floss, walk the dogs, iron my sheets, my mom's sheets and my son's sheets. Vacuum the entire house. Make a four course meal and then wash all the dishes by hand I should be ready. Or maybe not.

I need to finish painting our basement. I got the majority done in November but then needed to focus on Christmas so I have a few walls left to do yet.

2 paintings. I've been so busy and then had the flu, which incidentally knocked me behind a week on a website build also. Im not really looking forward to the website right now, but that will probably change when I get into it.

The entire upstairs of our house has been cleaned thoroughly in the last few weeks. Even all the Christmas gifts have been put away. But now the basement needs to be dealt with. The kids playroom/craft room - the cabinets need to be sorted through and cleaned out so we can put the new stuff away. And then my office/workout room is a disaster. It's kind of the catch all and it's caught it all alright. The place is a wreck. I don't want to even go down there. LOL But hopefully in the next week I will.

My project is to get our "front room"/office organized. We moved in four months ago and it's been a work in progress every since. The biggest problem is this house is considerably smaller than our last house and there is NO storage. So I have plastic totes of things here and there. I also need to get my scrapbook area (in the same room) purged and organized.

Undecorating for Christmas. Ornaments are off the tree, but the majority are Hallmark ornaments and they each have their own box - PITA. Right now it looks like a cyclone hit, but everything WILL be put away today. And we live in a small space, so I have to wait until the rest of the place wakes up, before I start making more noise other than typing on a keyboard, and clicking the mouse.

We moved into a new house in early December. We need to paint every.single.wall. Every one. And patch holes first. Ugh. 2100 sq. ft. of house to paint. Lots of arches and a few niches. Then I get to finish unpacking all those boxes I packed. Ugh. Our 2 DDs are here for Christmas and stay until Jan 7. I guess we will be painting on Jan. 8. Ugh.

More painting and organizing as well. We need some shelves built as well as this house just doesn't have enough storage. I hope to put a big dent in these projects before DH goes back to work.

Filing our 2013 (yes that's right) taxes. We get a refund so being late is no biggy, but still it's a pain. I need to get organized financially so we can work on loans for DD for school in the fall. Ugh.

Two rooms to paint, we did the hall and the living room and guest bath, before I got really sick and the holidays. We have the sample wall that's painted the gray shade that we like so it looks funny. I just need to organize the room before I finish

The only major project we have hanging over our heads are the carpets. We just have to wait for the new carpet to get out of the snow and be delivered so the carpet installers can come and install them.
I have a week to get my Christmas decorations down. I thought I would start on them Monday. daughter is leaving for a week and husband is going back to work for the week so I will be home alone during the day. It will take me a while with my back issue to get them all down and put away. I will leave the Santas on the wall until Daughter gets home to get on the latter to get them.
I also have to vacuum and mop the master bathroom floor and dust the master bedroom. Which isn't that hard I just have to get a free moment to do it. I actually have to get in the mood to do it. what I really need to do is go sit in the hot tub for an hour.......

Most of the things hanging over my head have to do with school.
1) I have a lot of grading I need to do. The end of the semester is Jan 9 and I gave tests in 3 classes right before Christmas break. 2) I need to make sure my final exams are in order. My new principal would really like for us to use Google forms to give our multiple choice exams. I need to decide if I can do this for the first time with a final exam. 3) I had to move my classroom and lab(from a different building) a week before the break. I am still not settled into either room and I am having bad dreams because of it. I need to see if I can get into my room next week to get things a little more organized.
Off to start grading some papers. I gave myself one week to relax, so I guess it is time to get back to work.

Right now just putting away all the Christmas decorations, gifts in their new homes, etc. I am working 12 hour nights this weekend then back to days on Monday so likely won't happen until next week.

Mine is all scrapbook related, so it isn't a do or die; I do have five books to start or finish by May 16th. I have lists of layouts that need to be made by then. So far I am behind!

It just seems the testing -state, district, local never ends.

1. Clean/purge the garage and laundry room (laundry room is the size of most bedrooms so it can accumulate a LOT of stuff). I have really shirked any real cleaning/purging duties the past year and now it's beyond time to do it. The GF moving in has given me the push I needed (though I was hoping to have it done before she got here, oh well). I'm about 1/3 through both so far. I can't get my living room back until I get more of the garage done, so I better get crackin'! 2. Read a final draft of a book a coworker's wife has written and redline/comment on gaps in storyline and continuity (and grammar, which can be a royal PITA if characters are speaking in other languages or dialects or if the character is intended to use weird grammar - drove me nuts proofing late DH's stories for his RPG). He gave me the thumbdrive Monday and I hope to have it done and back to him by NYE. 3. Clean out my closet. I got the hanging stuff done earlier in the week but the shelves and the bottom need gone through. I have come to the realization that I'm a t-shirtaholic - 3 baskets of folded tees and one of them is nothing but various black ones! I need to sort them out by type (plain, Woot, work-related, other) as well and then either pack and store some or donate them.

That way you will have less of a chance of banging into walls and messing up the new paint jobs. I need to organize the stuff in the basement. The Christmas stuff was sitting out in the middle of the (unfinished) room since LAST year bec it won't fit into the designated storage area. I have to clean it out and organize then I can put everything in there that belongs. I don't wanna do it but it needs to be done.

It's bad enough when you have to do it during the summer (and the are no kids to deal with), but in the middle of the school year? That's rough. Hanging over my head? I have to read a novel that I am going to teach in a couple of weeks and I need to get my lesson plans for it in order. I read the book when I was in junior high, but that was a couple of years ago so I have to refresh my memory.

Where do I even start? We are the King and Queen of starting a project to and then taking forever to finish...
1. Finish re-doing our master bathroom. Need new fixtures and to put together the frame for the mirror. Started this project two years ago. It has taken so long I got tired of the color we painted it the first time around so we just repainted right before Thanksgiving.
2. Finish the master bedroom. This one is almost done - just need to purge dressers and closet.
3. Put together 6 scrapbooks for our 2013 family Thanksgiving trip to Disney. We go on a trip every year and I give everyone a scrapbook of the trip. I'm a bit behind!
4. Baby scrapbooks for my SIL's sister and my BFF. BFF's baby is 9 months old.

My plan is to go room by room reorganizing, purging, and redecorating (or adding to the decor). I started in my room and it's almost finished. I still need to buy a few baskets for my closets, buy more hangers, restain my mom's mirror, and paint my mom's nightstand. I'm debating about hanging art on the wall. I think maybe resting the mirror up against the wall will be enough for me. I'm going to see how much it would be to get my bathroom tiled, shower and walls. It's not that large. I would also like a granite countertop.
I also reorganized our coat closet and one hallway linen closet. Next will be my 13yo and 7yo's bathroom. They wanted their favorite colors in there so I'm going with light grey, white, hot pink, and aqua blue. I bought rugs and had a sign made for their wall. I'm planning on making a shower curtain that looks like a rag quilt, and painting wooden borders for their mirrors in a chevron print. I also need to spray paint their light fixtures or buy new. New towel bar holders too. Paint the walls light grey. Possibly paint their vanity. I'm leary about that, but the dark stain won't really match their decor. We'll see.
My daughters are happy with their rooms, so all that needs to be done is some purging and hanging a few items on their walls.
I want to repaint a wall in my living room, same color, and make it a gallery wall. I have 9 frames so far to hang. Buy two new couches. Put the old ones in the garage sale.
I want to paint my dining room a lighter color. I would love to have bench seating built in there and buy a regular height table and chairs set. We'll see.
My kitchen cabinets need to be reorganized, some purging too. I want to buy storage containers for my pantry and reorganize it too. My wall space in the kitchen is minimal, so I'm thinking about tiling all of the wall space. No more painting! I would love it.
After the kitchen I want to work on the hallway/office closet. I have a shelf that I use as a desk, but that's it. I want to take advantage of the vertical space by adding shelves. I want to put my filing cabinet under the desk, and paint.
Basement after that. Purging, organizing, finishing projects. Several rooms down there. I'm not going to list all of them. After we're done going through the basement we'll clear out the garage.
The plan is to be finished with our purging and have a garage sale in the spring. What doesn't sell will be donated. Then I want to have my garage drywalled. Add shelves and organizers.
Hopefully this summer we'll start our outdoor projects. Repaint the trim, repaint the shed, power wash the house, remove dead shrubs, plant new shrubs, ect.
There is A LOT to be done!
