I'll start. We bought this house and moved in Summer of 2013. DS was itty bitty and I was overwhelmed with all the unpacking and organizing in the house and my scrappy space just got ignored. I did go through and purge a bit when I finally did unpack it all. I still could stand another purge, though! I'm also in the smallest bedroom in this house vs. the huge bonus room above the garage in our other house! So everything needs to be much more organized to fit. AND I need to utilize the closet perfectly for this to work. My knock-off Pottery Barn project table is too big for the space. It fits, but it's not practical and I just need to bite the bullet and sell it. My goals: To paint the walls and closet. Color? Not sure yet. To get the Elfa closet installed this winter while Container Store is having their sale. Do another purge Sell my monster of a project table desk and buy a smaller desk. I'd like this to be something I can paint a fun color. Need to start searching Craigslist! Have the countertop I used in my old room cut down to size. It's currently in the garage Clean up and put away. I have months of scraps, kits, etc. that need homes. Planning on doing that this weekend! I also want to better organize/backup my photos.

I am in.... We moved into our house in Sept 2014... I went from having no room at our apartment to having my own room in our basement... I have tried to get it arranged but it just keeps getting recluttered with boxes not unpacked from our move... My goals are 1) unpack all packed boxes 2) unclutter my stash and sell extras 3) get lights put up and ceiling finished 4) have hubby make me my dream desk / counter

Military family here, and we moved from a 3000 sq ft home with a 3 car garage in Florida to a 1700 sq ft townhome with detached 2 car in California 18 months ago. My craft space is so crowded and jumbled that I can not find a way to make it work for me. Instead of crafting, I find myself constantly trying to rearrange things into a way that works for me and have thus far been 100% unsuccessful. I expect we will move again this summer so my goal is to get organized and crafting quickly once we are settled.

This is something I'm perpetually working on, LOL! But it's so fun - I think I like organizing my stash as much as I like using it (is that sad?).
My scrap space shares a room with my home office - and I work from home - so right now it's just piled with stuff that needs to be put away or purged - Christmas cards, memorabilia, paperwork, that kind of thing. Yesterday I cleared off my desk in front of the computer so that was a start!
I'm going to offer a scrapbook organization class later this month via my blog. I'll post the details here later in case anyone is interested.

I'm another one that is always working on my room and purging. The biggest problem I have is time, and my family. I will purge and sort and before I get stuff put away they will come in and move stuff intermixing it again <sigh> I did just spend a few hours in my room today sorting, labeling and putting away a lot of my newest stamps and stamps I used for Christmas cards. Next will be doing the same with my newest dies Hopefully that will be Saturday or Sunday while I'm still in the mood!

My goal is to use more of my stuff before I buy more. I think I am pretty organized, but I am out of space for even one more sheet of paper!

My goal is to sort through all my paper and organize better so I have some idea of what I have and where to find it. Use more, buy less!

I have decided that my goal will be to declutter and purge a little at a time. One basket/bag full each day.
I think my previous attempts have gone awry because I pull everything out and then fail miserably at purging the totality of it.
So, one small step at a time now.
Thanks for the thread.

I'm in, I would love to figure out what to do with my acrylic stamps...so that is goal one. Right now they are in plastic drawers, binders and baskets all around my room and house.
And in a couple of months, I will have the in-law suite available to me, so I plan to make that bedroom an 'overflow' room. Yes, my room is so small I need space to overflow, right now it is the hallway leading to the scrap room. So, I'll need to organize that. I'm dreaming of shelving and a cricut workstation. But we will see.

I feel like I'm always organizing my space. I really need to clean up the paper scraps I push onto my floor lol /blush! I wish I had a bigger space because I think it would easier to keep everything in its place.

So far I haven't been very productive. I've been asked to teach some classes at a charity crop in March so I've been working on my classes this weekend. I'm glad to be getting these started. But I'd love a clone of myself so I could do both!

I think I have my spaces in a good organized order. I have 2 bedrooms. One though I have share with a litter box in the closet. I hate that aspect. My main issue is keeping it up. Also my go stuff. I learned in don't scrap in my space so I got rid of my table and added more shelves. I do have a small desk in a room. My rooms are divided. One too. Has all my stamps, tools, ink printer markers. I have a lot of stamps The other room houses everything else including my dies. I really need to just using my stuff more. And possibly kitting stuff I switched all my paper sort to colors. I really like that system I also need to sit down a d print some pictures. My goal is to slow down in buying and start using. Only thing I really have been buying is dies. I actually still have storage space in both rooms. But I did notice I still had some scrap stuff in my basement office. So my goal is to get that taken care of Also I'm not a purger. I've been thru all my stuff a couple times in the last couple years. I love my stuff. My real issue is I keep saving something for something better. I don't want to use that prized piece of paper on that project. You know what I mean.

Boy do I need this! I barely crafted at all in 2014 because I can't get to my supplies. I went from having an entire extra bedroom in the pre-divorce house to renting a TINY little place for the kids and me. I need to downsize the stash to fit my current life. To complicate things, I also create portfolios for each of my students which is a completely separate set of materials to deal with and that's taking up all the my immediate work space.
All my scrapping supplies are in boxes or a few Michaels storage units around the house. Really old supplies (Like Prima bottles, Club Scrap kits, and Making Memories metal embellishments circa 1998) are still boxed in the garage. I need to seriously purge and use the little space I do have in a better way or I might as well give up this hobby. I'm getting farther and farther behind and it's very frustrating. I spend all my time looking for what I need which leads to knee-jerk reorganizing and I rarely if ever actually create anything except my school portfolios.
But new year, new plan! I'm going to work on one area at a time and try to get down to bare bones. First area: my workspace in the living room. Once I can clear that, I'll be rewarded with a place to start scrapping again which I hope will be the incentive to purge even more. The irony for me will be, the more I get rid of, the more I'll have to work with because I can actually get to what I need.

Although most of my supplies are organized, the memorabilia, extra inventory, & the walk-in closet are disasters:
- School papers/projects are overflowing for our now 7th grader. I need to decide on & commit to a "formula" for documenting his school years, then toss the rest. This one task would easily eliminate 75% of the accumulated memorabilia. Although I wish I had developed a plan before & dealt with the memorabilia as it came into the house, I still fear that I will regret tossing all those cute elementary school papers & projects after saving them for years.
- In the (uncompleted) process of planning school albums, I bought several American Crafts cloth albums at $8/each & various packs of AC page protectors at $4/each from Tuesday Morning. They require substantial storage space & the protectors are not easy to organize. I also store extra school supplies (e.g. pencils, markers, binders) in my craft room; I intend to store this in the closet or move to the study closet downstairs.
- No scrap/stamp supplies are currently stored in the walk-in closet. It was intended for the 9' Christmas tree, holiday decorations, wrapping paper, & craft supplies. The issue is that my family members also use it as a catchall, tossing random stuff into the closet & closing the door. I'm hopeful to dive in next week, donate those craft kits/storage/character party supplies/etc., find a home for the other stuff my family members failed to deal with, & hopefully open up shelf space for the extra albums.
Best wishes for reclaiming your creative havens!

I've purged my craft room of unwanted supplies twice this past year, most recently a week before Christmas. I have at least 200-300 sheets of patterned paper and at least 200 sheets of Bazzill ready for a new home but I can't find anyone to buy them. LOL. I really do not want to give the paper away although eventually I will in order to get it out of my house. The box of supplies I purged earlier last year is currently sitting in my spare bedroom.
I am almost finished organizing my DD's school memorabilia and her school album is up to date. I spent an entire week last summer scanning every award, school document, and professional photo she had. So glad to get that task finished.
I need to buy the rest of the furniture for my scrap room. I bought a new desk and Ikea Alex 9 drawer but I still need to buy 2 Kallax shelves and two of the 6 drawer Alex drawers.
I have one big order coming in from A Cherry on Top and then I am done shopping for a while. I am thinking about joining Gossamer Blue's kit club but have not decided.

well, I planned to make my room more user friendly use what I have, but still buy stuff - but not impulse buys try more techniques
I started on my alphas - I condensed 2s big binders full of different alphas. I pulled out all my thickers, they are now stored in a basket, and I *will* use them -(not get any new ones until the basket is at least half gone). I pulled out all the alpha stickers, put all the ones I know I will not use or have no vowels left and put them in a bag for daycare. I now have 1/2 a binder full of alphas that I *will* use. NO MORE ALPHA STICKERS - I purchased some alpha dies, and I have used them lots, so that is the way I am heading (no more running out of letters)
I pulled stuff out of their packaging and I put them away I have a pile of new stuff to put away
I plan on going through my bin of SU cardstock - I have not touched any of the colours for over 18months, although I have used up the white & black SU cardstock. I will keep only a few colours that are basic - the vanilla, kraft, choc. chip and a few of my fav. colours - THE REST ARE GOING. I plan on selling them on Trademe (NZ's ebay)as well as the matching ink pads.
I plan on going through and selling my stamps that come in the category of - Why, and What Was I Thinking???
I also plan on using my stuff - no more of saving for a special layout - all my layouts are going to be 'special'
That's the plan Stan!

My goals for projects/organizing/purging/room are:
-organize all my digital photos like I did when I started first doing digital ugh that is going to be a pita to take on
-although I did put all my ephemera and die cuts in a iris container with the smaller individual containers I want to further organize it into like colors as that is how I scrap
-buy that 3rd CTMH container so I can finish organizing my PL cards by color
-pull one stamp set a week and make some cards with it, I have a ton of SU ones that haven't been used yet
- last year I did a challenge series of vids where I challenged my scrappy friend to use particular things from our stash. I was able to use a ton of stuff and make a lot of projects. This year I want to do a series of vids where I make a kit up each month and do layouts/cards with it and pull stuff that I have been hoarding and use it up!
- I want to try and alter something every month with the huge pile of things I have bought to alter
- I did a huge purge last year but I want to purge a bit more stuff
-buy another raskog, 6 drawer alexia unit and the taller unit and finish changing out my old yucky storage, hand some curtains, get hubby to hang some trim around the window and hang the décor items for my room so I can finally do a room tour vid

My goal for this month is to kill a handful of partially used kits I have lying around. I can't bring myself to break up the kits but I feel like I can't justify buying any new supplies till I really get the last from the ones I have. Once this is done, I'll be able to start building up supplies again in a logical and orderly manner, having completed a major purge before Christmas.

I am kidding myself to even post on this thread, but ideally in this year I would love to get the scrapbook stuff out of my bedroom and into the scrapbook room, but it is overflowing into the bedroom because the scrapbook room is so crowded with disorganized stuff that there is no room.

I am in. Before Thsnksgiving I purged and sold a lot of supplies. I started to reorganize and plan according to what dh and I thought we were going to do. We changed our minds and now 2 months have passed. I still have oodles of supplies to sell, purge and use. I plan to scrap or create a papercraft each day, and organize as I go, and on Fridays I will list my stuff on eBay.

Oh my goodness! Don't you love it when inspiration strikes!?!? I'm using my aunt's 1970's mediterranean style sewing machine cabinet (in a closet) for my scrapbooking desk. Unfortunately, there's about 10" of space on either side and EVERYTHING falls into those spaces. You mentioned a countertop - EUREKA! - that's what a need! I'll go get a laminate countertop cut to size to place on top of the sewing machine cabinet to fit end-to-end in the closet. Sure wish I could leave work early to go get it! Now I'm motivated once again to use some Annie Sloan's paint on the cabinet to update the look. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!
