We had homemade baked egg rolls with pork, satisfying DH's pork and cabbage requirement for a New Year's meal. I made sesame garlic noodles to go along with them.

We are having steak, and I'm doing all the usual stuff we have with a roast dinner to go with it - roast potatoes, stuffing, pigs in blankets (as obviously the 84 I made for Christmas dinner were not enough to satisfy this family's cravings for them) and either green beans or brussel sprouts.

There is a ham on the table and cinnamon rolls.
I am going to pop a pork loin in the oven. I will cut part of it off and put it in sauerkraut.
Some potatoes
I have sweet potatoes heating up.

Chinese Chicken Salad and some wonton skins for munching. Just finished making the dressing and chicken. That salad sounds yummy! Can you share the recipe, please?

Wanted to let everyone know, this was *so* good. I left out the broccoli because husband and son don't like it. I added fresh cracked/ground pepper and garlic powder which are not in the recipe.

I marinated chicken breast in Yoshidas sauce, pineapple juice, soy sauce, garlic and sriracha. I steamed rice and veggies to go along with it.

I wanted to make beef soft tacos but dh has a sore throat and doesn't want anything spicy So we are having chicken burgers with tossed salad ... sigh! I can totally understand that Leanne. I have a dreadful sore throat, all I've been able to eat today is watermelon, yoghurt and a bit of potato salad. We were going to go out for dinner (no kids tonight) but I just wouldn't enjoy it. I hope you enjoy your chicken burgers, maybe something a bit more interesting for you tomorrow night?! Instead DSO is going to cook roasted pumpkin and ricotta ravioli with parmesan sauce. We haven't had it before, but it sounds yummy. And pasta should be easy on my poor old throat.

Dh is sick as a dog I'm going out tonight with my BFF for her birthday so I get to eat food with flavour I'll pick up pizza for dh and dd's before I leave The ravioli was nice. My throat seems to be getting worse, I've just been to the chemist to get some heavy duty anti-inflammatory throat lozenges and antibacterial/anaesthetic mouth wash. Trying to avoid going to the doc! I hope you enjoy your night out with flavoursome food!
