Do your dogs do this? Run around like maniacs after they get a bath?
It's like they feel so clean and frisky. Makes the PIA of dog bathing worth it.

Penelope jumped in the shower with me yesterday, so she did it a bit and Seamus go this bath today...he was quite wiggly and happy. Loofah hasn't gotten hers yet, but I'm willing to bet she will.

I had Max in the tub, water running. Mabel was right there, I thought she was gloating. That's sort of a 'thing' at our house-- dogs not getting baths linger nearby to gloat.
I said, "Mabel, do you want a bath, too?" and she JUMPED IN! Never, ever in 10 years has she done this.
I had to yell and yell at Sam to come into the bathroom to dry Mabel after her bath. Max just hunkered in the back of the tub, hoping, probably, that I'd forget about his turn. I couldn't think of a way to dry Mabel without allowing Max to escape.

So funny you just posted this... Bandit just got done with his bath and the crazy dog racing routine that always comes afterward! We all love it!

Before the Labs, the shih-tzu's we had would do laps around the house after a bath. He hated the process but once he was done he was fine and dandy.Pia the Lab/Akita mix gets a bath is if she goes for a swim. I've tried other ways with both Labs, but they would rather get in the pool. Then she does laps around the pool.

I wish we had a video camera when we were kids. Our dog would go absolutely bonkers after a bath.

My spaniel mix used to run through the house and rub against the couches/chairs drying herself off on the rug and furniture simultaneously, then roll around on the floor. It was like she was trying to get dirty again!
I don't bathe my westie at home, as she gets groomed regularly, and I don't want to dry out her skin... she gets a case of the zoomies every evening, so I would love to see what she would do after a bath!

My Wheaten goes racing all over the house at high speed after the bath. We have three stories and she will lap all of them and race up and down the stairs like a bat out of hell! We love it.

Mine doesn't run around but she does do the rolling on the floor thing, on her back with all four paws in the air. She also puts the top of her head down on the floor -- so her head is basically upside down -- and rubs that all over. Then she rubs the sides of her face on the couch. My dd always says Simba is "fixing her hair". lol.

Yes, Riker goes crazy after his bath.
Story: when I was a teenager, we had a cockapoo named Gilligan. Gilligan HATED baths. Normally after his bath, he would hide under the chair in the livingroom with just his head sticking out, giving us the evil eye, for hours! Not so one day that Mom gave him a bath, though. Straight after the bath, he got out the back door and jumped into the incinerator. It hadn't been run in awhile, so no danger with it being hot, the door was open, but it was full of soot!!!! Can you say DIRTY? Poor Gilligan got bath #2 in one day. He never did that again!

My dogs do this. I have always thought that they must feel like I feel when I get a hair cut. All light and airy. Plus fresh and clean! And smelling good!

We live right by a little lake. If it is hot, they go in. It always inspires them to act like fools the rest of the walk.
