My step-son and I played a few games on Christmas Eve. No big deal. Then DH & my step-daughter downloaded the game. DH & I played about 600 games over the weekend. We have no less then four going on at the same time and he WON'T STOP PLAYING! If I take my time playing he bugs me like a little kid "It's your turn. It's your turn. It's your turn." UGH.
I love that DH & I have found something that we both enjoy, but ENOUGH! How do we put down the crack?
CURSE YOU TRIVIA CRACK!!

[blocks ears] I'm not listening, I'm not listening!
Goodness knows I don't need another distraction. Thanks for the warning, I'm not even going to look at the game.

Trivia Crack is an app you install & connect to Facebook, Google, or email address. Then you seek out your friends & try to beat them at trivia questions. You earn icons for each of the categories & the first person to six icons wins. Please don't hate me.

My daughter and her friends are hooked on it too. My daughter got her aunts, uncles, cousins, boyfriend (and his family) hooked too. I refuse to start. One game is enough of a distraction for me and that's Candy Crush. I don't even play CC every day. Actually, I have 78 lives to use because friends keep sending me lives.

When do you find time to play these games?
Truly, I do not understand. Please explain. Thanks.

Truly, I do not understand. Please explain. Thanks. It takes maybe 30 seconds to a minute to play a round. Not much time at all. Do you have no free time?

We play while sitting on the couch watching tv. Or in line at the grocery store. Or on our lunch hours. Or in the few minutes before falling asleep. DH has been known to play a round or two on the toilet.
An average turn takes a minute or two. At most a turn takes five minutes. Very easy to get your hit of Trivia Crack.

Yes, I have free time but I am not into doing stuff on my phone other than basics.
These games seem really silly to me and I HATE it when I am having a conversation in person with someone and then they take their 30 seconds to play a game with someone on-line. Who is most important, in person or on-line?

My students convinced me to try it. I don't understand what makes it so addictive. Maybe some subliminal message? Regardless, I started on Christmas Eve and am on level 48 now.

Don't like them, don't play them. It is really that simple.

Who is most important, in person or on-line? I am sure you do plenty of things with your time that I would never dream of doing. To each their own. But I agree about it being rude to mess with your phone in the middle of a conversation with someone else.

Seemed like an opportunity to let the peas know that I don't like on-line games, the same as other posters post if they like or dislike something that is in a post. Quiet evening. Good night.

My kids got me hooked on it too! I play ALL THE TIME. I have at least 10 games going with the kids, thier friends and now they got my brother and sister in law playing. As if I needed a new addiction on this stupid phone. I've ditched Candy Crush for Soda Crush, but now I've got Bubblewitch also. Add in this board and Pinterest and I'm worthless. Oh, yeah, and facebook. I'm a teenager stuck in a 41 year old body.

Anybody else sick of the Game of War ad on there? The blonde with the rather, um, perky chest? I'm considering paying the $2.99 just to not have to watch her and her assets bounce across the screen anymore!

Ok, I don't get this! Can someone explain it? What is challenge? How do you earn the icons?
|
|
|
Post by Charlotte on Jan 7, 2015 3:20:59 GMT
To earn a shot at an icon you either have to get three questions in a row correct or land on the crown when you spin. Then you have to get that question correct to earn your crown. It is called "Crown" in the game.
Or you can challenge your opponent. But only if you each have a Crown. Then you have to answer six questions. Your opponent has to answer the same six questions. Whoever answers the most correctly wins. If you win you get your opponents Crown/Icon. If you lose you give up the Crown/Icon you selected.

Love the game. Hate challenges though. And for those saying its a waste of time I will say this. Everyone spends off time doing things they enjoy. For the most part this has no right or wrong answer to it. But for me, I have used my brain more often than not to answer some of these questions. I love working through these. Except Geography. Can I please skip Geography because I obviously did in high stool ?
