Any suggestions? I could do a boxed mix or not... I have a few GF mixes, but they're all potential cross contaminated with nut products.
Thanks! Taylor

I was going to say rice krispy treats too!
Fruits of any kind. Popcorn? GF pretzels? They are good! Chex Mix cereal, mix them with other things, like M&M's or other candies.

Sam's has a GF brownie mix. It should be nut-free as well.

If you want to do a boxed mix, Cherrybrook Farms has a gluten free that is not cross contaminated with nuts. Also, Betty Crocker is well labeled and they have a gluten free mix (they would add a warning if it was cross contaminated with nuts-but Cherrybrook Farms facility is totally nut free).
M&Ms are definitely not safe for nut allergies. Even plain M&MS are not safe.
eta: if this is for another person's kids I would make sure they can eat homemade treats. We also check carefully on oils, butter, etc for nut cross contamination (for example horizon told me their butter may be cross contaminated).

I agree with checking and potentially buying pre packed treats, my sister is extremely strict with nut allergies so she would not let her daughter eat food prepared for example in the toaster where a nut bread had been baked unless lined with tin foil, or even if you've been eating a pb sandwich for lunch and then made cookies...but it's for the safety of her child so I understand, but it's not just a matter of I didn't put nuts in this if you know what I mean.

Grapes. They're my go to snack for kids because they're bite sized and no one usually has issues.

Meringue cookies. (Egg whites and sugar) No-bakes. (Some gluten free people still eat oatmeal) Chocolate covered potato chips. Yummy

I agree with fruit, or something packaged.

Definitely check with the parents first. We have a rule that my son is not allowed to eat anything we didn't bring or approve. Just too much risk with cross contact. I won't even let him have fruit and veggies that have been cut up because we had a friends that reacted because someone had peanut butter residue on their cutting board when they cut them.

Thanks for the suggestions! I will look for those UDI's brownie bites since they're already packaged, I hadn't thought about that. Saved me some time, too ;-)
Thanks!

We usually find the Udi's bites in the bakery section of stores but I have seen them in the frozen section too. We buy them at Kroger most of the time.

How about old-fashioned fruit snacks/bites? I think they have a tiny bit of actual fruit juice in them if you want to feel healthy. Easy, cheap (at least if you buy a big box at Target), nut- and gluten-free, pre-packaged, available everywhere, and I've never met a kid who didn't like them.

Just FYI, Rice Krispie Treats are not gf unless they are made with Gluten Free Rice Krispies (the box is explicitly marked, but not all grocery stores that carry Rice Krispies also carry their GF variety. There are one or two off-brands that are gf, more likely to be in the organic or gf section than mixed among the mainstream cereals). Pre-packaged Rice Krispie Treats (name brand) are definitely no gf. There is a gf-brand of krispie treat, I'm sorry the brand escapes me, but you check the gf section for those. Just in you're still interested at any point!

Dum-Dum pops are GF and also free of several other common allergens.

Unless they are labeled GF I would be doubtful. Gluten goes by many names. Modified food starch, natural flavoring, anything malt/malted. Freeze dried whole fruit snack would be a better choice. Strawberries are great.

I liked the idea of grapes! All different colors.
Chocolate still has to be certified GF as does oatmeal.

Lara Bars and Kind Bars are not safe for nut allergies. Quest Bars probably aren't either.
