Good Saturday morning ladies!! I was EXHAUSTED last night and ended up in bed a little after 10pm. Watching the spelling bee yesterday apparently sucked a lot of energy. LOL We did end up taking the kids out to eat and let's just say, I fell a bit off track. But I'm right back on track this morning. I plan on drinking tons of water today and eating healthy all day. I brought leftovers home but I have no want to eat them and I've already told one of my dd's that she can have them. I plan on eating a super light lunch and dinner is going to be salad. And I have plans to do an hour long workout. I have some housework and laundry to do too. And then football to watch this afternoon!! I'm looking forward to having a mostly relaxing day where I can stay on track and get a workout in!! Have a great day ladies! Stay strong this weekend!!

Good morning all! I got up feeling ready for a change. So I'm going to take advantage of it (while it lasts)! I've already been on my morning walk and today the pantries/kitchen cabinets are getting cleaned out after holidays and all of the junk food that finds it's way in there.
I've been kind of half-a**ing it this past week. Using the excuse that it's my birthday week and I deserve this or that. I've decided that what I deserve most is a healthy body and feeling good about myself. Just have to keep the motivation going! This thread helps so much - I love hearing what everyone is up to.

'Morning ladies! Yesterday wasn't quite the disaster I thought it would be. I didn't reach my goal deficit but it was still a deficit so, Yay!
The boys did really well at their SCUBA clinic last night. A couple more and I'll be less worried about them thumbing our dives early because they've sucked back all of their air. For my part, it felt good to be hauling the tanks and weights myself. I wouldn't have been strong enough to do that a year ago.

Good morning. I think I skipped yesterday, but I worked most of the day subbing in a kindergarten so I was brain-dead when I got home. Went to bed at 8:30! rofl. So I've been grain-free for four days now and yesterday the pants that I put on were too big on the waist! I need a belt! I know I haven't lost that much weight in four days so I'm attributing it to no more bloating/indigestion/etc. I feel SO GOOD! Eventually I am going to add oatmeal back in because I love oatmeal for breakfast, and I'm having trouble with breakfast without eating eggs every single day. I weighed myself on Monday so I'm staying away from the scale until this coming Monday. Food-wise, I bought a ton of vegetables at the store and plan to roast up a bunch and keep them in the refrigerator for snacking, making quick stir fries or putting them on salads. Last night I made Mediterranean fish -- white fish with a sauce of chopped tomatoes (I used the canned ones with oregano and garlic), onions, and sliced olives. I also steamed broccoli and made a chickpea/spinach thing. No grains, and my dh didn't seem to notice. I think the chickpeas are "grainlike" enough, lol. For breakfast this morning I had a piece of fish and some almonds. Lunch will be baked sweet potato, some sliced ham, and yogurt. Dinner is leftover from last night. (the fish I had for breakfast was an extra piece I cooked up plain, so it wasn't the same as the fish with the sauce).

Good Morning ladies! I am up early, we are having a "wine glass etching" get together with future daughter-in-law, her mother and her grandmother today so I know my eating is going to be way off. Not in what I eat, because future dil and I have planned all healthy food, but just in schedule. I am making a small batch of raspberry muffins this morning to add to the food table, but I am really good when other people are around, worse when no one is watching me . I will freeze the extras for lunches, or send them home with future dil for ds's lunches. Congrats monklady123. I am pretty much grain free too, except for the occasional 1/2 cup of brown rice with dinner. I actually feel better when I don't eat a lot of grains.

Hi everyone! I went to WW this AM and was absolutely shocked to find that I am actually a pound under goal! That is positive, but I feel like things have been redistributed in a not so good way, if that makes any sense. I just don't 'feel' happy with how my clothes are fitting.
Now I am off to work out. I need to get back on track. I finished the week with a big and unhealthy dinner at Red Robin last night. Time to work it off!
Monk lady-- that fish sounds really good!
Glory joy-- wine glass etching, how cool!

Day 10 for me. I go into the office on Thurs and Friday so this was my first days back in 3 weeks. Did well, brought my lunch and resisted the donuts someone brought in yesterday. We had our work holiday party Thursday night and that went well. Only had a two glasses of wine, and did not tear into the chili cheese fries (i wanted to) that was ordered for the table. I dipped into my extra points for the week and that is ok. We played bocce ball after dinner and got some activity.
DH is planning to watch football all weekend, so I am going to try some chicken tender "wings" and make some nachos with mini bell peppers as the chips.

I'm up about 7 lbs still and while I've only lost a couple of lbs, I can TOTALLY see some of the bloat is gone.

So far today, I've done really well! I went downstairs and put in a good workout - 55 minutes and 432 calories burned. I was hoping for more calories, oh well. I did pick up my free weights - first time in a few months. Whew. I was doing them pretty regularly before and could do 3 sets of 6 different exercises. Yeah, I was only able to do 2 sets today before my arms quivered so much I couldn't do any more. LOL So I did about 15 mins of weights and around 40 mins of cardio.
Breakfast was a protein bar and a banana for 305 calories. Lunch was 1/2 cup low fat yogurt with 5 fresh strawberries and 2 tablespoons of chopped walnuts. I had a grapefruit for a snack before I went to work out. Dinner is already planned - another chopped salad this time with chicken breast and low fat balsamic vinaigrette.
I'm going to have to find something else to eat throughout the day since my net calories for the day at 640. I need to have at least 1200 so that's actually quite a bit more calories. I'm not quite sure what I'm going to have though.
Oh and I spent an hour and a half this morning canning 5 - 1/2 quarts of applesauce. I love making my own!!

Yesterday was my worst day on plan because I was ravenous! I ate the right foods (lean pork, chicken, salad, eggs) just too much of them. And had wine Whatever. Not beating myself up about it. The scale was the same this morning - still down 5 pounds for the week although my official weigh-in isn't until Monday. I suspect I'll stay at 5 pounds and am very happy with that. I'm so proud of everyone who is posting and thank you Brandy for starting the thread each day!

This week I have done horrible. Ate out twice with bad choices. . Today I woke up with my right knee so swollen I couldn't walk. Stupid arthritis!! So today I am resting on the coach. I eat gluten free and find that helps with my arthritis, but I also find no sugar helps. I have been eating tons of sugar. So as of today, back to no sugar or gluten. Off to find some new recipes.

Hi! This is my first time posting in these threads. We have started a little department weight loss challenge at work so I am trying to be good. So far, we've done well. I went over my calorie count a touch on Monday, I think it was, but by about 23 calories, so not devastating. I've been right at or under my 1200 calorie mark each day this week. I have not weighed because it's not a good week to weigh, if you know what I mean. I imagine I have some water weight going on LOL...
I'll look as well, but is there a thread with healthy meal ideas/recipes?

Last week was pretty good for eating. Today, I ran intervals on the treadmill for 35 mins and did 20 mins on the elliptical. As for eating, I had a protein shake post-workout; scrambled eggs with turkey bacon and berries for breakfast; black bean chili mixed with baked chicken breast, and an apple. I made some delicious oatmeal cookies yesterday, but only had one yesterday and one today. I had to take some to parents so I wouldn't eat them all

The good - Yesterday I did a Pilates tape which felt great. I also danced my uncoordinated ass off playing Wii with friends and family as we were having a snow day from school. The bad - I also ate huge quantities of pizza and drank 3 beers during said get together. Today was still frigid with a windchill of -25. I did not venture to the Y as planned but I did a lot of cleaning and ate fruits and veggies as I grazed through the day. Tomorrow it should warm up some and I am hoping to get a good workout doing weights and cardio.

After doing my lower body workout, I went outside with the boys and did some serious sledding. We have a walk-out basement, so there is a pretty steep hill going down. The kids got new sleds and now there is an extra one for me, so I got to slide and trek up the hill for 20 minutes straight. It was so much fun but my neighbors probably think I'm a lunatic.
We had spaghetti for dinner. I made a sauce from scratch and zucchini noodles for me. Threw in some ground turkey sausage and mozzarella cheese and it was fantastic.
I was all about the spaghetti squash the last few years, but I think that the zucchini noodles are better and easier.

Rest Day for me! monklady123 , have you looked on Pinterest for egg-free breakfast ideas? I found some here . Also, for anyone going grain-free, Against All Grain/Danielle Walker is one of my favorites. I've only had one thing not turn out fabulously (and I'm 90% sure it was my fault), but everything I've made of hers has been amazing. My big "cheat" for the week (Saturdays for me) has been Peanut Butter Monster Mix trail mix from Target. It's like crack, so I only buy the small bag off the end cap.

I had a tension filled day and was very hungry by dinner time. I used all what was left of my days points to make Chicken parm with spaghetti. Weekly points for 2 wine sprinters and some chocolate chips to nibble on. Exercise today was aggressively removing wallpaper. I know I can't eat like this everyday but tonight I needed it.

I would like to try these but have seen a few different tool options and would really like to only have to buy one. So knowing what you're using will be helpful! Also, how are you cooking them? Thanks!

It's been a long day. A good one, but long. I had to work early this morning so I've been up since 4:30am. Yawn. I haven't done a workout and at this point, I won't, but I am hoping to get to my 10,000 steps for the day. I'm close! I may have to spend some time walking back and forth in the house, but darn it, I'm determined! Yay, Jill!!

I'm still doing really well with eating today! I'm still way below calories for the day and I even had a small serving of ice cream. At this point though, I probably won't have anything else to eat. It's 8:30 here and I just don't want to eat anything else this late. I've had less than 1350 calories and burned 430+ calories when I worked out. So I'm going to be a bit low today but I was really high yesterday so I think it'll even out nicely. Here was dinner - my chopped salad! It was SOOOO good! And the pic on the right is the oatmeal (steel cut oats) that I have in the crockpot for tomorrow! Can't wait!

I just finished dinner, too-- and even though I'm really full, im fighting the urge to snack. I don't need to eat. I have enough points left to have a glass of wine in a little while, and that should be enough. Right?

Hi everyone! I've been in these threads in and out back in the days of 2Peas. I am a Lifetime WW Member, and lost 80 pounds originally in 2005-2006. I kept it off for a little while, and then life and a few emotional things happened and my head wasn't in the game any longer. I totally recommitted this week. I was doing great (or so I thought) back in 2013, and I was about 10 pounds from my goal weight. Then I was diagnosed with ovarian cancer, so my weight loss was more than me doing WW. 2014 was a bit of a blur for me, I had surgery, did six rounds of chemo, and I really did have that attitude "Hey I have cancer I can eat whatever the heck I want." Frankly, my doctors were glad I was eating because not everyone has an appetite while doing chemo. I did get my oncologist's blessing to go back on Weight Watchers once I got through active treatment, but my head was not in the game. This past December, I celebrated being cancer-free at Disneyland, and of course I pretty much hate how I look in most of the pictures. I went to WW this past Tuesday, and had them wipe my slate clean. My new starting weight is actually about 5 pounds more than my original starting weight in 2005. So I have been diligently tracking and drinking my water, and I love that now you can connect your FitBit to your etools. I have been getting lots of APs from my normal running around at work (yesterday I got 7!). Yesterday I cooked up some low fat ground turkey with taco seasoning, and have been making up some yummy taco salads, lots of lettuce and mixed greens, some broccoli and corn, FF refried beans, some cheese and FF sour cream and for the dressing I use a FF Catalina dressing. So yummy!!

Kristan - congrats on being cancer free! A clean slate sounds like a good idea!
I haven't been on the computer much since the new year but I feel like it just called me here tonight. I told my dh this morning that I'm back on the wagon. I had cottage cheese and green salad for lunch and some skinless chicken is in the oven and will go with roasted broccoli.
oooh Brandy, I forgot about the crock pot steel owts! That sounds so good.
I look forward to losing with you all!

I've done really well today. I had a Kind bar and a venti coffee with 1 splenda for lunch. And as much as I LOVE my coffee from Starbucks, it just kills my stomach, ESPECIALLY when I have a venti. I think I'm going to have to steer clear from it for a while. This is the 2nd time in the last couple of weeks that I've had a horrific stomach ache afterwards. Dammit, I love my coffee. Dinner was lasagna soup and it was SO good. It was easy too! Took all of about 30-40 mins to make!! It ended up being 315 calories per serving. We had fresh bread with it. Typically I try to stay away from fresh bread but with my stomach hurting I was hoping that would help....I don't know how, maybe soak up all the coffee? LOL Either way, I'm still only about 1200 calories for the day, so I'm good.
