Ok, this made me laugh. You are TOTALLY misunderstanding how Prime really works! It matters not that you NOW don't do much online ordering. What happens is that you sign up for it (you get a free trial if you want to try it out first), and then, because you have it and because Amazon is the most awesome retailer in the world, you suddenly find yourself ordering all sorts of great stuff from Amazon. Then, you can't find something you need in a brick and mortar store, and when you go on Amazon, there it is at a great price, and you can get it in 2 days so you will have it in time for the event, and after that, you start checking Amazon FIRST. And then you realize that you can put in many different addresses, so that you can send people gifts via Amazon, pay no additional shipping, and you know exactly when they are going to get there. You can send your college student a package of wall hooks, because there isn't any additional shipping charge, and he'll get them in two days. And none of the above even touches the streaming, Kindle lending, and other great Prime features!
Sorry for the hijack, but I couldn't let your comment go unresponded to!
I think I understand it. You pay $80 for the year, and then shipping is free and faster. We just don't order much online at all (I love to shop! ), so I don't think it would be worth it. I can see it being a great deal for people who love online ordering though! But we have had problems with credit card numbers being stolen, so we are super paranoid about that. So even with a "good deal" we still wouldn't order online. We just did it because we couldn't find the dvds anywhere else. But that's rare for us, we usually find what we need at the store.
So I guess my point was that we just don't order online enough to justify spending the $80. If we only ordered from Amazon once or twice a year and we only spent $20 both times, wouldn't we lose out? But if my friend orders everything online (she hates to shop!), then it's a great deal for her.
But maybe I am misunderstanding still! I guess I am old fashioned and prefer to shop at the store (gets me away from whiny teens at home!! ). But I appreciate you helping me out with this. I could see myself getting into trouble if I find lots to buy on amazon! haha! It is something to consider for the future if we can get over being so worried about putting credit card info online (and we have security measures on our computer, but the hackers always seem to be one step ahead!). I hope I am making sense! I am thinking of getting a visa gift card to use for online purchases, so we don't have to worry about credit card info being stolen. Lots for me to think about here!
I'm sorry. I was really just trying to be funny. I apparently failed. You definitely understand the mechanics of how it works.

Yep, having Prime leads you to "get your money's worth" by ordering often from Amazon. Smart people those Amazonites!
But back to the camera, aren't the photos really tiny? I want an instant camera that produces photos in at least the old Polaroid size.

Sometimes it takes me a while to get it! You are being an enabler. If I get addicted to amazon, I will only have you to blame! Just kidding! You were funny in your post.

While I do love the wide it's a bit like hauling a house brick around!

Whoa! Even on sale it's more than a Canon Selphy i agree with you. I would only get this printer if I DIDN'T own the Instax but wanted those kinds of prints. the great thing about this printer is you can use any photo on your phone versus only the ones you take with the Instax. there have been times when I've wanted smartphone pics in the Fujifilm format. the price of this printer is just high considering you still have to buy the film.
