Anybody else scanning the replies of people they are friends with on FB? Hope I don't see any evidence of my FB posts, lol. I like to hear about Little Pudge's antics!

Yes. Absolutely. I feel like I often have to bite my tongue with some people on Facebook. Not because of any drama they cause but because they can be such insufferable idiots who cannot see that their actions create the situations they find themselves in. And there are those people who I'm friends with but we have that one thing we just don't see eye to eye on (religion, politics, etc.) and I have to sit on my hands to keep from commenting on their posts about those things.

If all you want to do is post recipes, for the love of God, join Pinterest. For another friend ... please stop posting pictures of abused animals. I think your friends are all against animal abuse too.
Ann This is my stepmother (the recipes). She's also the one to post all of the sick baby (meds for likes/shares) crap. All hell would break loose if I were to un-friend her, though, lol. I just scroll by her posts. My SIL's mother is the one that shares all of the money posts - "share this and you'll be rolling in the dough".

I follow a fitness expert whose public fan page is full of pictures of her 14 year old dd in bikinis playing beach volleyball. Multiple people have told her it's not appropriate and she flipped out saying it was a nationally recognized sport. Her immature temper tantrum got support from plenty of people. Is it Cindy Whitmarsh by chance? I follow her and am so embarrassed for her dd. Some of the photos have been incredibly inappropriate.

I have another. LOL....
JUST because it is something shared on FB....it ~might~ not be true. Like, police warnings...drug info...disease stuff... Yes, some stuff is true, but a lot is misinformation....and really should be researched before sharing. Ugh. I would hate to share something that was not true. Some folks believe if it was on FB, it is correct.

I am friends with an old roommate and her husband. Both totally irresponsible with money and not the brightest bulbs.
She was looking for a job and "got" one with one of those investment companies that are basically sales and take anyone. I want to tell her that there is no way in He££ I would ever trust her with one cent of my $$$. This is a couple weeks after posting they were looking for some place to move to (no doubt they didn't pay their rent again).
She also reposts every I love my kid thing and gets called out by others on reposts that she should've checked on snopes.
He is always posting pro-gun and pro-military which isn't bad in itself, but he's a totally Wannabee - couldn't join because he has some health issues. Knowing that makes it irritating (I am a veteran and have many friends who are on FB). That and calling people who don't agree with him dumb. Oh the irony.

1. Girl who went to HS with my son.. You have had a least 5 different "he's the one I'm going to marry" relationships in the last year! How about just concentrating on getting a job and taking care of your daughter.
2. Dear Cousin and her STBX- please quit airing all your dirty laundry when you both get drunk and start makings accusations about each other on FB. Your son is friends with both of you and he is seeing this crap!
3. I have a "friend" from high school who gets involved in everybody's business and makes it all about her. "Oh please pray for me my friends husband just left her" What? Why would I be praying for you? She also had the Facebook divorce of the year. It all went down on FB. I would delete her but I like the entertainment
4. Dear friend I am glad that darn jewelry company went out of business so I don't have to see your 50 posts per day about how much you love it and everything you have on sale!

I have a friend who posted earlier this week that she wouldn't be on Facebook as much as usual because she is dealing with severe depression. That lasted about 1/2 of a day, now she's back posting as much/more than usual.

I want to tell the grammar nazi to shut up. And I want to use the improper form of their/there/they're, your/you're, to/too/two doing it. If she wants to educate someone on correct usage, do it privately, not passive aggressively all over everyone's news feed. Please understand this; I am not trying to offend others who don't use proper grammar on FB. Its FB and not a place where perfect grammar is important. Me too! My 'friend' who doesn't have a degree in English gets all upset about my LOL Cat postings. Yes the grammar is incorrect I know this and have the damn degrees/experience in the subject to prove it. Stop posting that the grammar is wrong. Duh! I know this. My other nerdy friends know this and will gladly put you in your place. We derive entertainment from it. I post the LOL Cats because I like cats and they are funny! If it offends you then stop looking at them.

If someone is a routine offender, go to their wall and click the "following" button so it is NOT checked. Their posts will no longer show up in your newsfeed. If you have notifications turned on you'll get a number on the globe (upper right) that you can click on and see who has posted, get a small preview and decide if you want to visit their home page or just mark it all as read.

As stated above the 'following', hiding and other settings really make my Facebook feed much more pleasant! I highly recommend it.
I hid all posts from a friend because of inane posts like those already mentioned. Then she called out me and six others in a group private message berating us for not wishing her a happy birthday on facebook. She's 51. Seriously??
Anyway, I don't know if this was mentioned but constant links to you tube musicians/songs. Stop it. We can tell you're drunk posting 10 Grace Jones videos in a row. Get an ipod.
There's a subreddit on reddit called 'mildly interesting'. This should be a general rule of thumb for social media. LOL ....post something, at the minimum, that's mildly interesting.

To my cousin and her husband.
Stop with the veteran stuff. Cousin, you did not even make it 3 years. You really don't deserve the honor and benefits of being a vet. To her husband. You come cross as being a pediphile. Why do you call so many young Asian girls daughter? Creepy damn creepy. Stop calling my cousin's children your children. Again creepy very creepy. And I am not sure how long you were in the military but I doubt long enough to get what you think you are entitled to. Stop crabbing about what you don't pay for

I so wanted to say WTF I haven't seen the movie yet why did you feel compelled to spill a spoiler when it wasn't necessary GRRRR!!!

The person that spoilt AS for me now posted how she thought everyone knew the spoiler WTF so that nullifies your stupidity because apparently in order to see the damned movie I was supposed to read the book or articles on it, some people just really shouldn't be allowed on FB.
I really wish FB had choices other then the like button such as don't like, are you really that f**king stupid, who gives a shit and why did I ever want to be a FB friend with you!

Here's a new one. Posting a thread about watching illegal movies on FB is incredibly stupid. Just another demonstration of the entitled, spoiled, arrogant person you are. I cannot wait for the day you fall flat on your face. I am so tired of your shallow stupidity.

Stop sending me game requests. If I haven't joined the game in the last 3 years, I probably am not going to start playing now.
Don't threaten me with the-I bet no one will report this-threads, I purposely do not repost any of those.
Stop complaining about the winter weather. You live in a northern state, you are going to get snow, you have every year for 47 years. If you post one more time about how you "hate" me for having such nice weather in Florida, I am going to tell you that I "hate" you for being too stupid to move.
I know auto-correct can sometimes cause problems, but for God's sake, proof read before you submit an unintelligible post. You complain about being sick of being called a red-neck, well stop acting like one.
Do not ask to borrow $20 from my husband for gas because you are broke, and then the same night ,your wife posts pictures of you at Monster Jam. That huge beer and sandwich must have cost $20 alone.
I actually feel better now.

I truly believe that for lots of people, facebook feeds into this weird narcissistic need to be noticed AT ALL TIMES. 5:00 am (waking up) take picture 5:01 am (pooping in th toilet) It's soft! take picture 5:02 am (brushing my teeth) Do these PJ's make me look fat? take picture 5:03 am (getting dressed) OMG I'm so fat!! Maybe I should lay off the food? What do you think? take picture 5:04 am (going to work)FML. I need to marry rich. take picture (frowning) 5:05 am (inside my Benz)(even though everyone knows your credit needs Jesus and you only have it cause your momma paid for it. Such a hard life!!! (take picture) I find facebook exhausting. I truly do. I don't need to know about every facet of your life instantaneously. Honestly, facebook makes me think of the quote "familiarity breeds contempt." I had such a different view of a lot of people until I read all the shit they post on facebook. Closet racists, bigots, religious fundamentalists, arrogance of (I"m always right you are always wrong), uncharitable and unkind things about people with disabilities, how many times I really get drunk (Like dude, really?), or the never ending "passive charitable work," like The bucket challenge anyone?" Go out there and do something for someone instead, dude. I have sort of made stance. I tried facebook, but I don't think I my life is so fucking fascinating or I am so brilliant that I have to post pictures of me you know, doing stuff like buying a Starbucks or at a party or my thoughts (with a stupid hashtag) about everything under the sun. No one needs to know OMG At this VERY PRECISE MOMENT, M IS IN NORTH CAROLINA LOOKING AT THE MORNING DEW WHILE PRAYING TO THE GODDESS #SOBLESSED. So, I'm not on facebook and don't allow my picture to be posted on facebook. Or any other type of social media. The most offensive person on my facebook page is one of my cousins. She (via her husband) is incredibly wealthy, yet she posts shit about "enlightenment," and "Humanity," and all this philosophical bullshit, when I know both she and her husband have stolen so much money from people and made so many crooked deals. Whatevs! Sorry.

Uhm, I didn't realize that the ending of American Sniper was a spoiler. This is not fiction, it was all over the news. I would be one that doesn't know the ending I won't spoil it but an interesting fact is that Chris was good friends with Marcus Luttrell (Lone Survivor). That's another must see movie that's already available to rent. I won't spoil that one either but the title alone summarizes his story perfectly.

God doesn't care who wins the NFL playoffs. I was happy for the team that won, but it wasn't because one team was more favored by God than the other. Really?
