I kind of hope it's not Zeke that dies. Or that anyone dies actually. Last night's was ok...I think Adam changed his mind out of guilt and not because he thinks the Luncheonette is a good idea.

I'm getting anxious for the finale. Not because I want to watch it sooner, but because I don't want them to screw it up!! I've watched every dang episode and will be ticked if the ending leaves us hanging too much.
Seriously I think I compare every family drama ending to Six Feet Under finale and given that Peter Krause was in both doesn't help matters! Lol I want complete and total closure. No finale can top that one though.

I really liked the M*A*S*H final as it wrapped up everything. Funny that Klinger chose to stay behind, as he was the one always wanting to go home.

If Zeke didn't die in the last couple of episodes, I can't even venture to guess who it's going to be, or how.

I loved how they handled the kids learning that Joel and Julia were back together. The Joel under the bed scene was really funny.
I loved that Hank showed up with his toolbox. I knew when he did that, Sarah would say yes. Sarah has been such a mess that I'm not really sure how I feel about their upcoming wedding, but if Zeek gets to walk her down the aisle it will be tears, I'm sure.
I really don't like that Adam changed his mind to stay with Crosby in the business. I don't think staying in a business that your heart isn't in is responsible...not fair to Crosby, not fair to Adam, and not fair to Adam's family. Sure, it shows that you sacrifice for your family, but I just don't think that was the right decision and wish the writers had done something different with that storyline. It would've been ideal to have Crosby have the financial ability to simply buy Adam out...but that didn't happen.
The scene at the old house and the fate of the hidden baseball was sweet.

I don't think anyone is going to die anymore. Jason Katims never outright said anyone was going to, he just discussed loss. And they have been exploring loss, in a way. I guess I don't think they'd kill a character in the last two episodes, with no time to process it. I hope I'm right.
ETA: I think that Zeek and Camille are going to decide against the surgery, which will begin the grieving process for everyone, because the doctor was very clear that without it, his time is limited. But I don't think he's actually going to die in the final two episodes. Amber will have the baby, Sarah will get married and we will get glimpses of the future for everyone. And maybe there will be flash forwards without Zeek, but that's as close to death as I predict we will see in the final two shows. Totally all speculation, of course.

I was going to say do we know for sure someone is going to die?
Last nights episode was just a nice one. I'm thinking the next 2 will be the episodes with a lot packed into them. Is the final one only an hour? I would love for it to be two hours.

I think I realized how much I'll miss this show when they advertised the new one, The Slap. That's probably not its real name, but looks like a tension-filled drama-mess.
I'll miss Parenthood's pace. How it's kind of mellow, even when the plot is tense. How it's like real life, but tied up a little neater.

The scene at the old house and the fate of the hidden baseball was sweet. I agree with all of the above - especially the part about the Luncheonette. Adam is putting Crosby's dream above his own family's needs. Crosby had a chance with the business and it wasn't viable to support two families. It's time to let it go and for Crosby to grow up, get a job and support his family.

I hope you're right. Kind of a bittersweet, he's still here now but won't be for long. That would make a lot more sense than having some arbitrary family member die in a car accident or something like that.

We really liked this episode. Totally about people having to make hard decisions. Loved the parts with Julia and Joel ~ from the under-the-bed scene to the skating rink it was perfect. I can't believe how tall Victor has gotten!
When Drew took Zeek to the storage unit, we screamed at the TV ~ don't let Zeek die on Drew!
We knew Hank would end up putting the crib together and that Sarah would accept his proposal.
Loved Zeek and Camille driving by the old house and seeing the new family enjoying it.
Loved the old photos and was glad Max wasn't having a meltdown in the episode. Nora is too adorable ~ loved the tea party with Adam.
I don't know how they would deal with a death in just two episodes. I hope we get closure in the final episode. I did read that Lauren Graham was satisfied or something like that with how her character ended. I hope that means they didn't kill off her dad.

Anyone know if Hattie will be back? I realize she's "off at college" but she's not even been mentioned lol

I realize she's "off at college" but she's not even been mentioned lol She is supposed to show up in the final episode. i always wonder about quotes from the cast like Lauren Graham's above. I mean if she were dissatisfied with how her character ends, would she really come out and say so now?

So I don't know if any of you watch the show "About a Boy" but it's by the same writers/producers or whatever - and Crosby makes appearances every so often as a friend of Will's. This week's episode he was playing cards with the group of guys and mentioned him coming to record music at the Luncheonette. I didn't see the rest of the episode but it made me think it's too bad Crosby couldn't take on another partner like Will and then he would be able to keep the studio and have a business partner in the music business. How nice and tidy that would be, right? Except he is literally just like Crosby and has no business sense but it was a thought/dream anyway as far as a $ partner.

Am I the only one that doesn't think it's fair that Julia is claiming responsibility for everything that happened with her and Joel? Joel was not always available to her, as he was constantly with his boss Pete.

Can someone answer a question for me ? Where did so many people get the idea that someone is going to die? It's all over Facebook, speculation about who will die!! Two episodes left, seriously hope they don't kill anyone off !

Two episodes left, seriously hope they don't kill anyone off ! An interview with Jason Katims before the season suggested that someone was going to die. He's never said that's not the case, so people have run with it. But looking back on what he actually said, I don't think anyone's dying.

I also think that no one will die, but the Zeek and Camille are going to decide not to go through with the surgery (and that they are not going to involve the kids in their decision) and that the end of the show will be the family soaking up those last moments.
I'm also disappointed that Adam is choosing Crosby over his family. Adam should use his business connections to try and find a new partner for Crosby so they can both be happy.
