I'm trying to stay calm but my son has asked to come talk with us.
OMG OMG OMG
He is coming over Sunday and we are going to lunch. My husband wants to go to lunch instead of talking at the house - it will force him to stay calmer (his words). I wanted to do it here but I can see his point that if we are out at lunch, non of us will get too emotional. Well except me...I will cry anywhere.
We chatted on FB messanger today and he seems ready to work through this. He said he was sorry for the way he moved out and he misses us. I explained to him he needs to be open and honest with us and he said he can do that. He said "We're gonna make this family work".
So...noon California time...send me all your good thoughts cause we will need them. I really hope he doesn't back out on this.

This is so exciting. I am so incredibly happy for you doesn't cut it. I agree don't have lunch at the house to begin with. A nice, no threatening restaurant is perfect. OMG this is so wonderful. I will give you whatever you will take. Prayers, positive thoughts, duah, whatever!!! I just want your family reunited! Good luck! Again big

I was so excited when I saw the title of the post, and am so glad it is what I thought. I am keeling my fingers crossed that all goes well, and even if it doesn't go as you expect or hope, know that it is a step in the right direction! Is your youngest son going as well? I am so excited for you!

Great news! Now breate deep, stay calm.
Repeat all those old phrases from your dating years so you're not too nervous and hyper by the time the big day rolls around.
I really hope this is a new beginning for your family!

I'm so, so happy for you all. Take it slow (says the mom who would be a blubbering mess ). I love that he said, "We're gonna make this family thing work" because he recognizes it will take some effort. I'll be remembering your family in my prayers!

Is your youngest son going as well? Still undecided...I'm leaning toward no. We may have to talk about things that he doesn't need to know about.

I'll be in Vegas at a Google in Education Summit, but I have seriously set an alarm to remind me to stop & pray for you.
Awesome. No matter the outcome, you'll all have had the chance to share your thoughts & feelings.

Oh I'm so happy for you! What a long week this will seem!
I agree with those who said take it slow if you can. Let him drive the conversation - not that you should be a pushover, but giving him the room to make his own choices without any pressure is what has brought him this far I'm sure, keep it going mama!
