I have a 2004 power book g4. It needs updated softwarre. Has an issue with the screen being "grainy". I never use it so I listed it for sale best offer. Someone offered $75. Would you sell or hold out for more? Is it worth it?

A computer that is more than ten years old? You're getting the better end of the deal getting $75 for it.

it is worth nothing. after 3 yrs, they are basically worthless. I don't agree with this... I sold my mid-2009 13" MBP late last year for $450. I had upgraded the RAM and installed an SSD, but it was still 5 years old. However, for a 10 year old PowerBook, which I believe is pre-Intel? You're lucky someone will pay you anything. I'd take it.

No way it's worth more than $75.
You're lucky to get that. I'd jump on it.

I have a G5 desktop and neither of those can be upgraded beyond I think Snow Leopard so it won't run any of the newer software without getting bogged down. Unless you have upgrades that you could take out and sell separately (larger HD, etc.) that are worth something on their own, I think you're pretty lucky to get $75. Even though it's a dinosaur, mine still works great. I've upgraded the RAM and HD, so I'll just keep using it as long as it works with my printers, etc.

Yeah, for a PowerPC-based Mac, I'd take that $75 and run.
