I hated fundraising when my kids were kids. Absolutely hated it. I would have preferred just donating. That said, there are a few fundraisers I love buying from.
I love the wrapping paper fundraisers. They usually happen right before the holidays, just when I need wrapping paper. I know a lot of people hate it, but I think the quality of the paper is excellent and you get so much on a roll. I find that fundraising wrapping paper is a gazillion times easier to use than the cheap crap from Target or Big Lots. It never rips and creases very easily. Despite seeming expensive, I find it to be a good value.
See's Candy is a great fundraiser. We usually get a few boxes to have on hand for emergency Christmas presents. This year, my granddaughter's preschool did the See's Candy fundraiser and DH bought a bunch of boxes to give to his customers. Boxes sell for exactly the same price as they do in the See's stores, so it's great to support a favorite organization without spending any more money.
Girl Scout cookies--need I say more?
So, what kinds of fundraisers do you look forward to buying from?

Only Girl Scout cookies. I have no interest in anything else.
ETA: I take that back, I will go to fundraiser crops to scrap.

Honestly none of them. Not even Girl Scout cookies. They are way too pricey.

Girl Scout cookies. Not even for the cookies, I just get nostalgic for my Girl Scout days. I am especially happy to buy them from girls who look like they are over 13.

MAGAZINES! I'm so over the freaking magazines. Move on already, I have every possible magazine I could ever want and have extended by subscriptions into the next century. NO MORE MAGAZINES! Really the only one I don't dread is Girl Scout cookies - oh and the Boy Scouts who take away our Christmas tree to be composted those work for me.

Call me a party pooper but I can't stand any of them.
When my kids bring home the fundraising info selling candy/gift wrap/magazines/etc. I send a donation and call it good. We have zero family even remotely close by, personally, I hate it when people have their kids asking me to buy something; therefore, I practice was I preach, and don't have my kids ask others. Not to mention, there's only so much spare $$ for such things and personally I'd rather support my own kids schools rather than someone other school.
Yeah I know, I'm a mean spirited old lady ;-)

I like GS cookies and I liked Sally Foster wrapping paper (haven't come across any kids selling that lately).
Our baseball/softball league sells the little cards that have different discounts from area restaurants and stores. I love that thing---it's good for a year and has some great deals on it.

Girl scout cookies are way too expensive for what you get. I like the local food coupons. Pizza one that has 10 different types for a good price. food discount cards for local restaurants that can be used over and over for one year. I also like the worlds best chocolate bars for $1. I like giving to the walk-a-thons, $10 for them and they have a day they walk around the track.

I prefer to just give cash.
I also like auctions where I can bid on things I want.
And I like the Boy Scouts wreath fundraiser every year.

I like coupon books, GS cookies, and flat out money donations. I'd rather give you $10 than pay $10 for crap trinkets knowing that only $1 of my purchase goes to your organization.

GS cookies, crops, or if it is a really little kiddo asking, I might oblige. I work at a school and get hit up all of the time. Ugh. I will buy those credit card sized plastic coupons for offers in my area. We can use the heck out of those.

Trash bags! I bought some really good ones from a kid in band. They were crazy heavy duty yellow ones. They were so awesome and I ran out. The band doesn't do that fundraiser anymore! :-p

I will buy a box of Girl Scout Trefoils even though they aren't as good as they used to be. My DH bought one of the credit card size coupons for restaurants in our area last year and he plans on getting another because we DO use it. There was a candy bar I just loved, about 1-1/2 inches wide, thick and maybe 5 of 6 inches long that I just loved. Haven't seen one in forever but if I did, I'd buy! Other than that, forget it.

My niece has to do grocery gift cards for skating. I love it! I need groceries anyway and I get to help her out. I like magazines as well.

So, what kinds of fundraisers do you look forward to buying from? Do they have the option to give See's gift certificates instead of the box? People give us boxes of stuff we don't like but we love the Nuts and Chews. I appreciate when I get a GC that way I can decide what to get. I won't buy wrapping paper because Costco has awesome paper which is way less expensive but nice like what you described. I will buy GS cookies but usually no one comes around.

Boy Scout wreaths. They come so fresh and last well into February. It's impressive!
Boy Scout popcorn kernals. They make really great popcorn.
Girl Scout cookies. Especially thin mints. The Keebler ones just aren't the same.
When we lived in Alabama, they sold cases of coke bottled products for $1 a bottle. I really do loke my diet coke from a bottle!
Otherwise, I just do a buyout. They are my kids; it's my responsibility to pay for their activities.

My favorite fundraisers are auctions with lots of smaller ticket items like $25-50 restaurant gift cards.

Sorry basket1lady, in our neck of the woods, Keebler makes the GS cookies! The other brand is ABC bakers.

The boy scout wreaths ds sold are still looking good. A couple of years ago the football players came around and sold batteries. I bought a lot of them. I like getting the magazines. I purchase all my magazines through fundraisers. They didn't do it this year and my subscriptions ran out. First aid kits

In general, I agree.
I did like the Sally Foster wrapping paper. I haven't seen anyone selling that in years though.
I hate GS cookies, but I'll buy a box or two to give away just to support them.
If the child asks me himself/herself, I'll buy pretty much anything. If mom or dad hits me up on-line or at work, probably not.

our school says "we know you hate selling stuff, so just make a donation". i think they raised $11,000 that way this year.
i buy girl guide cookies. but we only have ONE kind, chocolate mint, which are okay, but i am jealous of all the flavours american girl guides offer!
i HATE worlds finest chocolate. or chocolate covered almonds.
some teams/schools sell extra large coffee crisp, kitkat or smarties (candy covered chocolate like m&m's) and i REALLY like those. lady in the office next me was selling them when pregnant with dd, i would call her and ask what she had for me, almost every day!!!

None of them. I'd prefer that things are just paid for instead of fundraising so that others can pay for them.
ETA: I just realised the only fundraisers that I will actively seek out and participate in are the food bank drives. They are so under supported through most of the year and they are incredibly deserving. I wish they had better marketing and could compete with the corporate fundraising nonsense (United Way, etc).

Krispy Kreme doughnuts.
Used to like Girl Scout cookies but there's just soooo many girls in this town, plus friends children plus customers children that I can't keep up.

I like the discount cards for local restaurants that in the past local boy scouts and one of the HS football teams have sold.
