She's telling me afterward: "There is a big assortment of those glass things for marijuana... all different colors, really pretty... what are they called? And these ceramic things that look like flowers and animals... SO CUTE! I had to wait for the clerk to help a couple of other customers, so I had to time look at the whole store." "When the guy could help me, I asked what those glass things were used for. He looked at me for a minute and said, 'Some people put tobacco in them.' "  She's trying the vape so she won't smoke my sister and I out on a road trip we have planned next month, FYI. She's a hoot! |

I hate to sound stupid, but ummmmm......what *WERE* those things? I thought people just rolled marijuana and smoked it in joint form? They were bongs, water pipes... you pack the marijuana in the same spot that the "tobacco" goes in. There's other glass pipes that do not contain water and are very colorful. |

In some states it's legal to sell certain forms of drug paraphernalia even if the drugs aren't legal. There's been a "blown glass" store in the Oregon town closest to me for at least 30 years. That county is considering opting out of the legalized marijuana law (it's an option for each county) and I'm sure the patrons of that store are not happy about it.  Your mom is funny. I hope she finds a flavor that is tolerable for you so you can enjoy your time together.  |

Too funny. My Mom heard my brothers referring to smoking pot as "burning one." As in,"let's go burn one." She thought they were talking about smoking cigarettes. So she started saying that to people who were smoking cigarettes and asking people who were going outside to smoke if they were going out to burn one. We finally had to tell her what the deal was. She was so embarrassed.
