Do your teeth ever feel weird after you eat spinach? Like, not gritty, but chalky or filmy?
I GTS and found I'm not the only one, but I totally thought I was. I always have to brush my teeth after I eat spinach!
Do y'all get spinach teefs?

Yes, and it's a known phenomenon I'm too lazy to google for you.

It's not my teeth that feel weird, it's my tongue. Happens every time but I still keep eating it!

Yes, I can't stand the feeling. Yet another reason I eat kale instead of spinach

I actually debate whether I want spinach raw, based on if I want to endure that awful grittiness.

It happens to me when I cook it, too!

I can't feel it as much when the spinach is cooked. I can tell it's gritty, but it doesn't cling to my teeth as badly. It's more bearable.

I get it - but only with cooked spinach. I don't get it with raw.
But spinach is one of my favorite things, so I endure.

Is it weird if you *don't* get spinach teeth? I have no idea what you people are talking about.

Thanks for posting this! I just had a spinach salad for lunch and was thinking about how weird my teeth felt! Glad I'm not the only one who feels like that!

I didn't know this existed! I eat spinach raw. As a matter of fact, I had a huge spinach salad for lunch.
I'll be honest and say that, although I don't get the "teeth" issue, I DO get SUPER MAJOR GAS. I mean, really. A human farting machine.

Fun pee fact (yeah, I said it) - asparagus makes almost everyone's pee smell but only about 30% of people have the genetic abnormality that allow them to actually smell the stink. That one's caused by asparagusic acid.

I hate it. Thanks for asking this question! When I asked my husband about it, he didn't know what I was talking about. We're having spinach for dinner!

Do not like spinach or mushrooms since they both squeak in my teeth. Too distracting to even consider how they taste.

Don't feel bad Compwalla, I have no idea what they are talking about either!
And I've been eating tons of raw spinach lately since I discovered this great salad dressing at Trader Joe's called, "Sesame Soy Ginger Vinaigrette Dressing". They are great together.
