Ladies, I have a Flex band from Fitbit. I'm just disgusted with it. I've had it a month and already it won't charge. I contacted the company and they are sending me a new one. This is the same thing that happened with my Ultra. Yes, they too sent me another and then I just gave up. So, my question is ..... is anyone using something different than a FitBit product? If so, which one? TIA, Ginger

I am using the Fitbit One and I love it. Do you have problems with watches? I can not wear a watch because the battery will drain in no time. Finally, after years of not being able to wear watches, I found a Fossil watch that has leather behind it, so the watch itself does not touch my skin. I have had it for 10 years and it is still doing fine, with just one battery change. The Fitbit One also puts something between my skin and the FB, so it does fine. Apparently my body does something to batteries and they just do not last. My Mom and my Grandfather are/were the same way. Could that be what is going on with your FB?
ETA: I had an Ultra and I had to have something between it and my skin because it would feel very warm if I didn't. I did not have problems with the battery because early on I began to use the clip on case to add that layer of protection and then clipped it to a pocket. The one has a rubber case and I just wear it clipped to my waistband with no problems.

I've had my original Fitbit for 2.5 years, I've worn it every day and it's still going strong. It started to come apart and I super-glued it back together twice, now some of the plastic at the curved bit is starting to chip away but it still works.

I've had my Flex for over a year and have experienced epic customer service from Fitbit, including free replacement of my Flex, even though I didn't have the receipt or original packaging, when it quit vibrating.

Sorry, I have the zip and I love it. Regular pedometers never worked for me. Good luck finding something that works for you.

Thanks for your input ladies! Fitbit's customer service has been great. It's just frustrating.......
Watches, nope I do wear one most of the time. I say that because now that the time is on my phone sometimes I wear a watch sometimes I don't.

I have a Flex after having a Nike Fuel band. I had problems with the fuel band. they replaced it twice and on then it wouldn't charge and Nike wouldn't replace it. My DH just bought a LifeTrak (because it looks like a watch) and it doesn't register "misc steps" With that, it looks like you need to walk a minimum of about 30 steps for it to count them.

I have a Misfit Shine. I love that it uses a battery, which I change every three months or so. No charging! It syncs to an app on my iphone, which is also nice. I wear it in a band on my wrist, but you can also clip it to your shirt, waistband, shoe. There is also a necklace attachment.
There are pros and cons to the Shine. The biggest pro for me is that it's waterproof, and I swim 5 days a week.

Sorry you had a problem, I've had a Fitbit Flex for about 6 months now and wear it 24 hours - I haven't had any problems with it. Since you are getting a replacement, just give it another try before moving on to something else-hope this one doesn't give you any problems.

I use an Omron pedometer, it's nowhere near as fancy as a fitbit. It counts steps, arobic steps, miles and calories burned. Runs on a battery that needs replacing maybe 2x per year. I love it, it does everything I need! The cost is around $35.00.

I'm sorry you keep getting duds I have only had my Flex since April and everyone I know has a Fitbit, no other brands. There is one person in the office with something else, it's a huge thing that cost around $200.00. I think it's the Nike one. She doesn't talk about it much so I don't know how she likes it.

I'm sorry you've been having problems with your Flex. I've had my Fitbit One for almost two years and have never had any problems with it. I charge it once a week, and it's never been less than 75% charged after that amount of time. Hopefully you'll get one that doesn't give you problems.

I'm on my second Fitbit. My first was the original Ultra and it was still going strong after two years but I wanted to be able to sync with my phone and the Ultra doesn't do that, so a couple of months ago I upgraded to the One and I love it! I'm not a bracelet person at all, so the flex or force weren't options for me. I have to be able to tuck it in a pocket or clip it to my bra.
It sounds like you just got a lemon. Don't give up yet!
