I can't wait for this season ... the white collar, blue collar, no collar thing should be fun At least we don't have to deal with previous players this time ... I'm over that

Can someone post a link to some spoiler info on boot order--pretty, pretty please?? I didn't see any on Previously TV and tried wading through the posts at Survivor Sucks (or maybe it was Fever) and couldn't find anything.

That guy needs to cover up his black speedos...my eyes my eyes OMG right! What I don't understand, Survivor has been on TV for years. And it's fairly obvious to me that they dump these people on the island straight off the plane. So why do people show up in button down shirts, slacks, and dresses? I'd be wearing a tank top and shorts over my swimsuit on the plane. If it's cold, I'd layer on top of that. What's up with the girl with the tattoo on her face?

I kind of wish that they wouldn't start with the "pick a leader" thing. It's like the producers are setting up someone (or in this can two someones per team) to have a target on them immediately. When I saw the "honesty" bag of beans my first thought was "that's not very big at all". And sure enough the one team immediately suspected that their people had taken the "deceit" bag and were lying about it. There really wasn't any good choice because each one would have brought suspicion on them. I guess I could say it's their own fault for volunteering to be the leader, but still.... Otherwise I have no comments yet, haven't really formed an opinion about anyone. Oh, except for the idiot who ate the scorpion. You have an entire ocean in front of you and you feel like you need to eat a scorpion for protein? on the first day? omg

good first episode, I am glad they got rid of So and I love the way Carolyn stood up to her at tribal. I am really liking the jewellery maker from the no collar tribe.

well I guess that will teach me not to be so late getting into the pool, my person is first out! LOL I knew as soon as she volunteered to be one of the leaders that her days were numbered. And going with deceit was so stupid!! Oh yeah lets all starve, but hey I might get an immunity idol - oh yeah, that makes perfect sense

My guess is they probably ask them to dress a certain way - all the white collar people were all dressed in a white collar way.

So far I'm liking it, but I always do, lol.
Someone please explain to me how it is one would come on Survivor NEVER having tried to make fire? Even if you live in a city, surely there's somewhere you can try it out. Heck, for a million dollars I'd go camping for a weekend just to see what living outdoors is like. Never ceases to amaze me.
While Speedo guy was a little annoying, I once again can't help but feel that the young ones are already gunning for the older ones. Happens every season.
Never a good plan to start off the season deceiving your tribe. What the hell were they thinking? You wait til you're a little further in for subterfuge. Not to mention, the 2 of them were bound to each other by that secret before they even really knew each other. Not too well thought out.
It worked out for her, but Carolyn (was that her name?) knew she had a target on her back and should have played her idol. How many people have we seen go home w/one in their backpack?
Coconut vendor is beginning to bug me.

The show makes people wear what they would wear during a regular work day ... that means suits for some people ... for me it would be hoodies and yoga pants

I was going to say the same thing several others have mentioned--they have to dress like they do in life and Survivor producers have to approve wardrobe.
Like Tiffany, I thought it was a great episode but I always love it too. I'm not one of those who complain about Survivor--I've kind of loved every season. I've loved some more than others but still enjoyed every single one of them.
I agree with the majority though: Coconut vendor (did anyone think he was trying to channel Coach with the feathers in the air and his overall weirdness?) seems creepy. The way he was behaving with that girl was just weird--"yeah, but did you find him attractive?" The big guy on blue collar who I thought I was going to like (I love people who are obviously huge fans as opposed to those who are recruited--one of my biggest pet peeves about Survivor) I didn't care for. Wth was the yelling for? He went from friendly to crazy in a hot minute. I really like the guy on the no collar tribe that started the fire--was that Joe. I actually liked a lot of people. The white collar tribe is the most annoying, although I'm starting to warm up to some--beardie and the remaining two women. The woman who got voted out, So, I was happy to see go. As soon as she bragged and laughed about making so many people cry who worked under her, I instantly disliked her. Her partner in crime--the idiot who decided to go the Deceit route--seems pretty obnoxious too. I love, love, love that Carolyn was smart enough to follow them around, knowing that they would be hunting for the HII, and that she found it. Awesome. Of course I was screaming at my TV when she didn't use it. She clearly knew what was going on better than I, but now she has that in her pocket.
I was impressed that two tribes made fire--good for them. I think doing it is a lot harder than it looks, but the fact that white collar tribe admitted that they "had no idea how to start a fire" was just plain stupid. At least research and attempt to learn.
Looking forward to the season. Please bring back the survivor auction too. I am always so disappointed when they don't have that. And don't offer a clue or advantage at the auction--I just want them to bid for food and luxuries.

Interesting show, I wasn't going to watch it at first. Many of "The White-collars" reminded me of a bunch of young "know-nothing" jerks that feel their "degree" is a ticket to entitlement. The other two teams seemed to have it more together during the Challenge. SO reminded me of the gal in one of the first seasons of The Apprentice, (Omarosa) she had a high opinion of herself and was back-stabbing at every chance. The team did very well to get rid of her first.

Coconut vendor is beginning to bug me. No kidding about learning how to make fire. I have always said that if I tried out I would be swimming every day at the pool, learning to make fire various ways, trying to catch fish with just a line and hook, eating some gross shit just to get used to eating nasty stuff lol, maybe set up a few puzzles/challenges similar to what they always have in survivor (endurance/balancing) so that I have some edge even a small one on the show. Oh and I would also refresh my memory by re watching previous seasons of Survivor too before I apply.
Yep soon as you go for the deceit option you know they are stupid and clueless about the game lol.
I never get how you make an alliance with someone so early especially with a clue between you when you know nothing about the other person. I know you have to make alliances but for some it is like they jump off the truck and 2 minutes later before they even get sand in their shoes they are in an alliance.
That was a huge gamble with the non playing of the idol but I think she must have heard something at either tribal(maybe when So said it was an alliance of 4 which may have made the others want to get rid of her) or something at camp that we aren't privy to but either way she was really brave or stupid to do that lol.
Yeah Fabio is annoying and kind of stalkerish too haha.

I'm happy that So went home. I hope her partner in the lie goes next (can't remember his name). They were both too stupid to stay. They knew it was a clue to the idol and you don't need a clue to find it. Carolyn found it easily as have others in seasons past.
