This challenge is for those who scrap slowly and need encouragement to keep scrapping all month or those who want a little encouragement to continue scrapping. It is great for those new to Challenges and is a fun place to come chat with other Pokey scrappers. 1. Post a layout each week, or four layouts per month. These can be posted in the thread or in the gallery. If you post in the gallery, be sure to come to the thread and tell us you posted and tell us the name of the layout so we can find it. You can copy the URL from the gallery and paste it directly into your thread for a link. 2. This challenge can be combined with any other challenges and can be paper, digital or hybrid scrapping. These can be cards, layouts or altered items. 3. Please comment on the work of others on the thread as your time allows. We all love comments on our layouts. 4. Have fun with this! This should be a "no pressure" challenge. Just post what you finish whether it is one layout or more than four. Come chat with the group as time permits. We love to welcome new members . It's March already and I'm hoping it brings some warmth and relief for those in the North and South who have had such heavy winters. I hope we all have some time during March to do a layout/card/project or at least time to play with your scrapping supplies. I'm almost at the end of my Disney photos, so I'll have to find other things to scrap by the end of the month. I hope I can keep my mojo going. Hi everyone! Sorry I have not been on I just have been busy the past few days! And boy do I know it today-it caught up with me as I am in slo-mo today. I made Becky's birthday dinner yesterday-chicken pot pies, banana cake with 7 minute frosting. Thursday was the night I go to dinner with my former co-workers. anyway there is a layout on my desk waiting to be finished-maybe this evening I will get it done. We got another 4 inches of snow and it is still coming down. At least it warmed up some-33 right now.
Nylene- I was so sorry to hear about the loss of John's sister. She was so young. Also Thank you for the new thread-we so appreciate what you do. I am going to try to get more scrapping done. I hope your mojo stays around I would not know what to do if you stopped scrapping. I do not understand what is going on in our scrapping world.
Kelly-are you doing ok? Hope we hear from you and the other missing peas soon!

Cindy, your birthday dinner for Becky sounds delicious. You are so kind to do that for her and her family. I hope you got a chance to work on your layout. Sitting in that much cold and snow with more on the way would be so depressing to me. I hope you are feeling upbeat. You know that Spring will come..........sometime! LOL! We had a big storm come through but it didn't drop too much in the valleys. Lots of wind and it's bitter cold, but not much moisture.
Kelly, I'm hoping everything is OK with you. We haven't heard from you for a while. Drop by and let us know how you are doing.
Today the Cubs etched their names into some glass containers. They seemed to have a great time. This is one of the best little bunches of boys I've had in several years. We also worked on the Naturalist, learning about ecosystems and made some toilet paper tube/peanut butter/birdseed feeders to slip onto a branch for our feathered friends. WE have a covey of about 18-20 quail that live in the corner of our backyard and DH feeds them every day. We love watching them.
Well, I have a layout to finish. I'm almost at the end of the Disney photos. It will make me sad to have them finished. But I have plenty more other photos to scrap!!

well I am still not finished with my page but I had Bobby here yesterday...he was under the weather. Today is Maggie's 11th birthday! I can not believe how fast time is going by. We got freezing rain today and it is 40 degrees and will be melting some of this snow. I will be glad as the roads and driveways are getting more and more narrow! I just do not know where all this water is going to go. It was so icy out you had to be very careful not to fall. We have a couple of people from our area on the Voice and one of them was one of our patients. Small world. ok it is l;ate and I am going to bed! BBL~!

Cindy, I'm glad it's warming up there, but then there's always the worry of flooding with the melting of the snow. I'm praying for tempering of the elements and less extreme weather conditions around the nation. What a strange winter we are having. Sorry that Bobby has been sick. I hope he's back to normal soon. Please be careful on that ice. My greatest fear is falling on the slick surfaces. We don't want any broken hips or other bones. Happy B-Day to Miss Maggie! She and Alyssa would have so much fun together!
I have finished 2 pages but haven't scanned them yet. I'll do that soon and post them.

well I have been under the weather today but hoping I will be back to my old self tomorrow Finished my layout tonight will post it tomorrow! Hope is all well with everyone! Kelly where are you and those warm California breezes?  ? Nylene-our driveway was solid ice yesterday- and my car was covered with ice Tuesday. Fortunately when IO had to drive the ice had melted on the roads. I worry about the same thing=please don't fall and break anything! I have those things you put over your shoes with the spikes on them made for walking on ice. And I used them. Ok be back tomorrow! |

Cindy, that layout is gorgeous. I love all those flowers. You are so talented with flowers. Love the photo of Miss Maggie and her dad. This will always be a very special page to her as she grows older. Simply fabulous job.
I'm sorry you are still not feeling well. Take it easy. No shoveling snow for you!

Cindy, I love your layout. I love the artsy techniques on the background paper and the layering. Your colors are wonderful. What a fun afternoon with the grandchildren. We are out of school on Monday and I look forward to having Ash and Lys here to play with paper with me. Is your snow ever going to melt? IT was like Spring again here today, but cold and winds are predicted in the next week. Nothing like what you have suffered this winter.

Believe it or not our snow is MELTING!!!!! It was 50 degrees here and lighter jackets were in order!!!! I actually thought I heard the snow and ice calling "I'm Melting" just like wicked witch in the Wizard of Oz! LOL Oh brother my humor!!!!
I am back to going to the fitness center as I only got there a few days the past 2 weeks. Not much else to yack about but will be back later!

LOL, Cindy, you are so funny! I just hope you don't have flooding if all those huge snow piles melt! I'm proud of you for doing the Fitness Center. I need to get back to walking in the mall this week.
I scanned my layouts, but can't remember how to post them. I'll experiment with them tonight. I can get them into the gallery here, so that might have to do! LOL!

Good Sunday evening! Just stopping by to say Hi and hope you had a great weekend.
Bobby had a blue and gold dinner last evening and we were invited. It was very nice and they had
a pack who does Native American dancing. Bobby got his bear patch. I believe in 2 weeks they
will have their pine wood derby finale. Next week is Arrow of Light. I finally get it Nylene! LOL Cubs have the weblos then they become Boy Scouts. I forgot mine. have pics to scrap if I can get the pics off of Bob's camera-OK it is late and I am going to go to bed!

Hi, Cindy. What fun to be invited to the Blue and Gold Banquet. I'm sure Bobby is having fun in Scouts. The Native American dancers sounds like such a great experience.
I can't wait to see you scrap the photos. Be sure to post them.
I can't seem to keep up with everything. I'm not sure what's keeping me so busy, but it seems like there's always so much to do....and lots that I'd rather NOT do. I'm hoping to get some scrapping in. I'm teaching how to make boxes to hold a collection of cards using my envelope punch board for Card Club on Thurs. I need to get that down firmly in my mind and I'm trying to plan out all the new adventures the Webelos will be required to do starting in June. Not sure I'm up to all of them.
I haven't heard from Kelly. I'm going to send her a card. I wonder if her internet is down. Toni, from Calendar Girls, was without internet for a long time and I thought she was lost! LOL! It's nice to see her posting on Scrapbook.com.

Kelly!!!! So glad to see your smiling face. I hope things are going better. Hang in there. You should be getting a card from me in a couple of days.
We are actually getting quite warm today, but we have a storm coming by the end of the week.

We have card club tonight and Em and I are teaching how to make boxes to hold a collection of greeting cards using the Envelope Punch Board. We have had so much fun with our Punch board that I bought one for Angie and Sammie and mailed it. It helps that we can get them at the American Crafts Warehouse down the street from me.  Have a great weekend! I'd better got get dinner ready. |

Hey ladies! Happy Sunday and I hope your weekend has been good. Thanks for all the hugs and love you both sent me. It has been a trying time and on top of all that, we had some major pluming trouble in our bath/shower area which has given us some unexpected vacation days. But I am hoping things get back to normal later this week. At first, I was so upset about all the work they will have to do but being away was the best medicine. I rested so well and we even went down to the beach area yesterday and had a ball. So it is so funny how some bad events have good things mixed in the mess. Ok enough of my preaching! We are even getting a new shower and bathtub as a result! I just thought they were redoing the tile in the shower but today Ron told me they are also replacing the tub too. Great news! Also, it was Ron's birthday last Wednesday so we continued the celebration yesterday. He was a happy boy enjoying yesterday eating another birthday meal for FREE! LOL! I will be poping in later this week but just wanted to let you both know how much I appreciate you. Sending you some hugs!!! Cindy- How are you and how is the exercising going? I still got to read back over this board to see all you were talking about but I do remember you exercising and there were some birthdays. Oh and has the weather warmed up any more? I hope so. Nylene- NYLENEEEEEEEE! Oh, thanks for the wonderful card you sent me. I just love it and all the love you put into it. It looks like a quilt. I got it yesterday and just perfect timing. I showed it to Ron and he was so happy for me and thinks you ladies are terrific! Also, this card box you are making sounds fun. I have seen that envelop punch board on tv and/or online and I would like to try it out down the road. Let us know you they turned out. |

Oh Kelly it is so good to see you back online! We missed you so much and we were so worried about you. We kept hoping it was your internet being down! The weather has warmed up and we actually have no snow on the ground! It is still cold and wacky. Some days we are 60 and some 30! But that is NE Ohio. I have been having fits with my printer but have it hooked up and working now. So maybe I will get some scrapping done! I am still trying to go to the fitness center 5 days a week- I am riding the recumbent bike 5-6 miles a day. I have lost about 10 pounds and have more to go. I have no idea what this punch board is but I will google and see what you are talking about Nylene!!!
Ok I am going to get off for now and will be back later this evening!

Kelly, I'm so sorry about your plumbing problems. I hope you got things fixed up now. Hope everything else is going better this week. Cindy, congrats on the weight loss. It's a l-o-n-g battle. I have gained some back, but hopefully as the weather gets nicer, I can get out and walk more. Angie is coming this weekend to spend Spring Break with us. She is coming alone with the kids. YIKES! She's brave to drive that alone. We can't wait to get her here. Our kids are still in school, but we will enjoy every minute anyway. Next Friday we'll have a big sleepover and she's head back the next day. Wish it could be a longer visit, but we'll take what we can get! I need to take photos of the boxes we made for card club. They were easy and fun to make. I'll try to do that in the next few days. Take care of yourselves and pop in when you can. I'm anxious to see some scrappy art from you. Hi everyone! Here's a layout I did this evening and will tell you why I am not getting much scrapping done. This is the last one I am going to do for a while as I need and want to get some scrapping done!!!! Nylene left you some love on your newest layout. I know you are going to be so excited to see Angi and the kids! I know I would be! I guess Bobby is Weblo now! I am learning all these steps of boy scouts. Cindy, I really laughed out loud when I clicked on your layout. Yes, I totally understand. I hate getting hooked on a puzzle that I HAVE TO finish before I do anything else.
Wonderful layout and great explanation for the slow down in scrapping. I think you have kept up this month with a layout a week, though. We still have a week (almost) left in the month. I doubt that I'll get that 4th one done this month.
Is Bobby 10 already? I wish he lived here and were in my Webelos Den. He'd be so much fun. Yes, the Arrow of Light is a real accomplishment. We work pretty hard to get most of it done in Den meetings, but we have to depend on the parents to do their part too. Some do and their boys succeed. Some don't and their boys don't earn it. It makes me sad when they get that close and parents won't do the VERY FEW requirements that I can't do with them. (Better get off my soapbox!)
Congrats on getting that page done!

Hey ladies! I am FINALLY back home after over a week of having to be gone because of all these darn bathroom repairs. It was to take a couple of days which turned into over a week! After staying at 3 motels and our parents it feels sooo good to be settled again. The paint smells are what caused us more day away. Awful!!! It is better today thank goddess. We have a small apartment so strong smells are tough and I am sensitive to smells anyway. Ron checked online and we put some containers of water and vinegar in the bathroom. We also read the coffee grounds would help. So after trying different things, the coffee was a winner. It really got the terrible paint smells reduced. Who would of thought??? So last night was our first night sleeping here and I was so happy. We still got some things to do to get everything back in order but at least we can take our time and do that. Plus what made last week so extra stressful was Ron started a new job. That is good news but who wants to start a new job bouncing around between motels, family homes and still having to drive home every night to check on things here. At first, being away felt like a vacation but the longer it went it was upsetting. If we knew up front it would take 9 or 10 days we could of prepared better. But the good thing is we got a new tub, tile, shower, toilet and floor. They had to clean the carpet around the area too. The water came through the wall into the bedroom too so they had to take care of that. So the more we can get these SMELLS out of here the better. AWWWW! As you can imagine I am pooped out today and plan on trying my hardest to do absolutely NOTHING at least until dinner time! Also, with my dh's new job he is a lot closer to home now so it will be fun to have him home sooner. Well, that is it for now but I hope to be back later this week when I get better settled. Wow Kelly glad to hear you are back home safe and sound & that Ron has a new job. !Wow your apartment must have been a mess and then I totally get the smell. Paint can be rather potent . Funny they have so much technology that they have not figured out how to remove the scent. Nylene has Angie and the grands for the week of Spring break. She is probably busy cutting paper dolls and holding the baby!!! I would be doing the same thing! Well it is late and I am about to call it a day. BBL!
