Have you seen these floor plans? The only one that I thought was off is Sheldon & Leonard's, but I'm not sure why (it's the bedroom placement). TV floor plans
When I was a kid I wanted to live in the Brady Bunch house, so poked around looking for a floor plan. It always bugged me that I couldn't reconcile the exterior of the house with the interior, and I guess I wasn't the only one. Brady Bunch house

What an awesome find! I don't recall seeing Jerry Seinfeld's bedroom but once or twice.

I lived for years about a block away from the Brady Bunch house. I was a little shocked the first time I truly recognized it because by the time I moved in, the area had been built up so much, and somewhere along the way the owners had put in a gate in front that seemed both disproportional and claustrophobic as it was practically feet before the front door. It was probably to keep looky-loos and trespassers at bay, but the result was still awful.
Funny, I had grown up imagining the family living in this large and airy home with a nice front lawn, and was sure the exterior was shot somewhere in the West Valley, like Woodland Hills or Encino. It was startling to discover the poor house smushed into our very dense urban neighborhood, just steps from my door.

Even as a child it always bothered me that the outside didn't match the inside, especially when Greg moved into the attic. That and the lack of bathrooms..

I'd love to see a plan for the house on Roseanne. I'm going to google it!

I was in CA and did a drive-by of that house (and other famous celeb landmarks. Fun trip!)

The TV house that used to always bug me is the house on the show Family Matters. From the outside, the front door was literally on the very left edge of the house. Yet on the inside, there was that huge living room area with an entry way type space and a staircase quite a few feet from the front door. There is no way that inside went with that outside. I know the inside was probably as set in a studio, but it always bugged me that the inside and outside were so far off.

Who else is hearing the Brady Bunch theme song and/or background music during some shots, in your head, as are reading this thread and looking at the links?

I have a question on the Golden Girls house (I'm a big fan! In fact, this was my good morning post on Instagram yesterday. haha) Whose bedroom is adjacent to the lanai.... Blanche? Seeing this plan, I realize I always thought everyone's bedroom was down the hall. I am not sure I ever saw anyone head to their bedroom behind the living room. Usually, they went to the lanai when they walked that way. The faint leafy pattern on the sketched bedspread though, makes me think it's Blanche's room. Wonder why I never knew that before...

I always loved the house on the show Family. That back staircase into the kitchen was awesome and the exterior of the house was just beautiful.

On the other hand, wouldn't you LOVE to see a floor plan of Downton Abbey? How awesome would that be? It seems that have guest bedrooms coming out the wazoo!!

In August 2001, I was a newlywed and had just moved two blocks south with my husband to a bigger apartment on Arch Drive. Even though we're happily settled in Denver now, that particular area of Los Angeles still holds my heart. It wasn't super trendy or fancy, but it was home. I knew the streets like the back of my hand, and could subvert the worst traffic with all my secret shortcuts. (Now I'm afraid I sound like a character on SNL's The Californians. Angelenos are obsessed with traffic.) I'm glad you had a great trip!

I never knew Frasier had a 3rd bedroom, I knew the one for Daphne was behind the kitchen, bit that other bedroom and bathroom was a surprise.

I always loved the Family Ties house. The house I see now that I think would be fun to live in would be the Good Luck, Charlie house.

There were 3 of them living in the apartment - Frasier, Martin & Daphne. I haven't watched GG in years, but would think the master bedroom off by itself was Blanche's. Isn't there an episode on BBT where Sheldon is outside his bedroom window and crawls to another window? That's what is bugging me about the layout linked.I'll ask DD what she thinks of it later.

Any other GG fans care to weigh-in? In the first episode or two, they did head down the walkway to the left (that later was the walkway to the lanai) to go to their bedrooms (I think). Haven't checked bc2ca's link yet. Off to have a peek!

The Full House house never made sense to me... there was a bay window in the living room but the houses are sooo close together, why would there be a window there. I think they called it an "alcove".
The King of Queens house does not make sense either. At least the outside does not match the inside.
Oh and Everybody Loves Raymond. The parents live across the street but come in the backdoor when everyone is in the kitchen, and the front door when everyone is in the living room... they just know where everyone is so they know which door to use?
Gotta love TV houses...

Any other GG fans care to weigh-in? Found this on a TV mistakes site: Continuity mistake: In the first few episodes, Blanche's bedroom is to the back left, not down the hall. It's later changed to have the lanai be out the back left door and all the bedrooms are down the hallway. www.moviemistakes.com/tv3721

On BBT - I always thought the bedrooms were down a hall (behind the living room sofa), not where it is depicted in the drawing.

That is a fun list I am going to share with my mother (we both love The Goldens and will text each other at 1am when a favorite episode comes on, a la Henny Penny the other night!) The house seems so much nicer with Blanche's bedroom off the lanai. Much bigger! Does anyone remember the houseboy in episode 1 of GG? lol Guess Blanche's room placement and the houseboy didn't last very long.
