I had my semi-annual girls weekend this weekend.
It used to be a scrapbooking weekend with over 20 of us - but over the years (and due to the two organizers being done with all the bullshit) it has whittled down to the 5 of us. For a while we scrapbooked, and then one weekend, we all brought along a blender drink to share, and that lead to every time, we all bring a surprise drink (based on a theme) to share. And we all guess what is in each other's drink.
We have learned to space out the 5 drinks, so we aren't completely toasted by the end of the weekend!
But this weekend, somebody brought Cards Against Humanity.
OMG I have never laughed so hard in my life!!
It is crude, racist (against any and all), horrible, wet your pants funny. I'm sure we are all going to hell for the answers we were giving. OMG
We played for SIX hours! We would play, somebody would do their drink, we'd go back to playing, had dinner, back to playing....SO much fun!!

It is so.much fun, but you really have to consider your audience before playing it. Ds is always asked to bring it with him to friends' houses. (He is 17, just so you don't think a 9 year-old or something is taking that game places!)

I got the set plus one expansion for my birthday and haven't had a chance to play yet.
But if you want a quick fix, try out evil apples from the App Store.....same game play, and just as naughty!

I play it with my kids. At first they were slightly horrified, but after the shock of watching your mother play certain cards, you bond. I think the fun of it is trying to guess what certain things people don't pick. I realized I don't pick the cards that were racist or against children, but old people and sex are all good! I know some people that have played the game and hated it. For me, it is just about the only game I will play.

Our family loves it! My son has all the packs. The first time we played (always only with 18 yo and older) the young ones had to explain some things to the older ones, including my mom and dad.

I love this game! We played it over Christmas with my family. My dad was pretty raunchy with his answers which made us howl with laughter. My girlfriends and I just scheduled a GNO in a couple weeks and we're playing this game. I can not wait

We played this game on Thanksgiving. I could not believe some of the cards, and that I was playing the game with my kids--youngest there was 23. But it was a blast!

It really is. I printed the cards at home and as I was cutting them, I had to stop every few cards and look up the meaning on Urban Dictionary. That alone cracked me up.

My husband and I love it, but I am 110% positive that no one in either of our families would play it. And, we don't have many friends. Our kids are way too young. It's not a two player game, darn it!!!!! We played it once with some neighbors and it was SO fun. I have been wanting to play it again!

I just don't see the humour in this game at all. I haven't seen the American version but the US inventors have brought out a UK version and I've seen some of that. It defeats me how a laugh can be got from making fun out of the victims of a major football stadium disaster, 'kids with bum cancer', a reality star who died from cancer, a kidnapped child whose parents are still desperate to find her, Auschwitz and more......! It is definitely a game I wouldn't feel happy suggesting playing with teenagers for a giggle, that's for sure, after the years previously have usually been spent teaching them to respect everyone no matter what health problems, race, etc. However, as always, each to their own.

I'm sure it takes a TON of ink, but they offer it.

We had to do that as we were playing!! there were a few terms that we just didn't know, and each of us were looking up things we had in our hands for answers so we knew to use them or not!

I put it on a jump drive and printed it at Office Max so I still paid and then I had to cut it all out. We were going to a friend's house and I didn't have time to order it so that's what I did.

Best game ever!!!! I printed the cards (free) on the website, then loved it so bought the game, and have bought every expansion pack since. AND the Bigger Blacker Box to hold all the cards! They also do a thing at Christmas time where you can pay like $10 and receive something from them for the twelve days of Christmas. We got randon cards; coal and the last day was an answer card with my name on it! Every single person I have told about it has bought it and loved it.
