My goodness, those things are ridiculous! Thankfully, I survived. And to cope with the trauma, I'm going to go eat a blueberry muffin my mom made and just sent over.

Blueberry muffins will cure many things that ail us.
BTW: your cat was looking really cute rolling on the floor

I've had a couple of panicked, sweaty episodes involving my inability to unlatch a bra and attempting the poor solution of just pulling it off over my head.
No bueno.

You probably worked off enough calories getting out of the sports bra to have 2 of those muffins!

You know Ashley, you have got to WATCH those tricky things every minute! They may look like an innocent piece of Lycra and Spandex designed to make a formidable uni-boob, but it is AFTER you! I keep mine in a drawer far away from me Libby

You guys are totally right. It's going to stay in the drawer and I'm having two muffins from now on. Seriously, I thought I was going to have to call my DH to help. Donna, perhaps your DH would like to use one of yours to demonstrate to me how I should be wearing it?

I hate them so much. I have one that I love - it was super expensive and is super compression style and goes on like a regular bra. The ones that go over my head make me feel trapped.

I have one on right now that doesn't seem to want to let go. I'm dreading taking it off because it always tries to lock my arms up in crazy positions. However I did not to anything crazy like exercise in it today so maybe I'll just put on some sleep shorts and just go to bed with it on, then I can worry about it in the morning

Those sports bras are pretty vicious! I can't believe we can even breathe while wearing them considering how difficult they are to get off!

I bought a few on line because I didn't feel like driving to the store. Ok the ones I ordered I couldn't get my arms through and pull over my head. I had a massive panic attack. It was scary for a few min while I couldn't get it off...took it back asap. hated that thing. Terrible bra! I got some different ones and to be honest they aren't that great either.

I hear ya'. I swear I've almost dislocated my shoulder more than once trying to take off a sweaty sports bras (I wear the kind without hooks) or tank top.

I feel your pain. I hurt my shoulder and I just can't get that sucker off on my own. I've had to ask DH for help more than once.

perfect circles.... loved your link... I actually laughed out loud!!
I have been avoiding this.... I am going to Africa in a couple of months and sports bras are recommended for the long rides over bumpy roads.... so I have to weigh the pros and cons... let the girls bump around in their own familiar space (regular bras).... or work on a war cry to help me get into a sports bra!!

This thread got me wondering how sports bras were invented. Here is a quote from a website that has the history of sports bras: "...she knew she needed someone with better sewing skills than her own to corral her bucking ponies." I have never heard of breasts referred to as bucking ponies before. But, I know men have yelled whoa when they've seen mine. Check out ladiesonlysports.com to read the rest of it.
