Care to share the recipe?
We have two families coming over Saturday for games, wine, laughs, etc. And I'm looking for ideas.

Bacon wrapped spicy artichoke hearts, just wrap half pieces of bacon around the artichoke heart, secure with a toothpick and bake until the bacon is sizzling.

A block of cream cheese, can of crab meat and cocktail sauce. Put the crab on top of the cream cheese and add some cocktail sauce on top of that. Serve with your favorite crackers. Very easy.

Funeral Sandwiches are great to serve. Use the Hawaiian buns, the right size, not too small & not too big.
Funeral sandwiches 24 servings Spray Pan with Pam (like to use two- aluminum throw away pans for easy clean up) 1.5 lb Ham deli or thin- sliced .5 lb Lorraine Swiss Cheese (any Swiss is good though) 24 dollar buns whole wheat or white Glaze 2 sticks Butter 4 Tbsp Brown Sugar 2Tbsp Worcestershire sauce 2Tbsp Mustard (not dry) 2 Tbsp Poppy seeds Assemble Ham and Cheese inside each bun. Marinade with sauce and cover. Marinade no less than 4 hours and up to overnight. Bake at 450 degrees Covered for 25 minutes.

I'm lazy so for my Book Club I always serve store bought bruschetta (which is really really good!) and sliced baguette ... I put it on a nice platter and everyone raves about it

Recently I had several friends over and I made a hot baked artichoke dip and the White Castle sliders in the Recipes section of this board. I made them ahead of time then heated when my guests arrived. Delicious! We also had veggies & dip and plain old potato chips.

I do the block of cream cheese, but with hot pepper jelly on top. Soooo good. This is a really delicious and easy dip, too: Sun-Dried Tomato Dip. Good with vegetables or Triscuits.

If you like cilantro, you have to try this dip - it is so good! m.allrecipes.com/recipe/20446/amys-cilantro-cream-sauce/?page=0I buy an assortment of frozen flautas and taquitos (chicken, cheese, steak, etc) and cut them in halvesor thirds to serve with the dip. It's also good with corn chips, and/or cut up veggies.

I also use a block of cream cheese but I put my homemade jalapeño relush on it. Serve with crackers. I think I have seen a store bought jalapeño relish. I have a friend who buys it when she runs out of mine. She says it is good in a pinch but mine is better.
I also make stuffed jalapeños rolled in cornflakes. I can post a recipe tomorrow if anyone is interested.

A round of Brie (or camembert), put in the middle of a circle of pastry (can't remember if it's puff or philo - I always use the wrong name for it, but just the frozen stuff)... Top it with apricot jam, fold the pastry up/over the whole thing, brush with egg, sprinkle with sliced almonds, or granulated sugar, or nutmeg, and bake until the pastry's done... Serve warm with crackers... (I'm horrible at passing along recipes - sorry!)
A friend sautés mushrooms, onion, and garlic, puts a little on a triscuit, tops with some grated cheese, and melts (broils?) it until the cheese melts... It's a 'hearty' tasting one, so when I make it I add a thin slice of cucumber to brighten it up...
I do veggies and dip, shrimp and seafood sauce, grapes and berries... A lot of really simple stuff...

Pioneer Woman's restaurant style salsa
Sausage puffs - a pound of sausage cooked with chopped granny Smith apples, cooled (not chilled, just not piping hot) then mixed with a block of cream cheese, then sealed into cresent rolls and baked.
Good cheeses and crackers, brie, aged cheddar, camembert, etc

I always do buffalo chicken dip because most in our group love it. But also the little caprese salad skewers. And I also do good ole cheese and crackers because I have one friend that really can't have anything spicy or acidic.

Here is the Jalapeno Popper recipe. It came from allrecipes.com. I will post the recipe and then tell what I do different. INGREDIENTS 1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened 1 (8 ounce) package shredded sharp Cheddar cheese 1/4 cup mayonnaise 15 fresh jalapeno peppers, halved lengthwise and seeded 2 eggs, beaten 1/2 tablespoon milk 1 1/2 cups crushed corn flake cereal INSTRUCTIONS Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Lightly grease a medium baking sheet. In a medium bowl, mix together cream cheese, sharp Cheddar cheese and mayonnaise. Stuff jalapeno halves with the mixture. Whisk together eggs and milk in a small bowl. Place crushed corn flake cereal in a separate small bowl. Dip each stuffed jalapeno half into the egg and milk mixture, then roll in corn flake cereal to coat. Arrange in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet. Bake in the preheated oven 30 minutes, or until filling is bubbly and lightly browned. Here is what I do different............. 1) I leave out the mayo. I accidentally left out the mayo once and found that I liked the better. 2) I go through all of the steps through stuffing the jalapenos ahead of time. I then put the stuffed jalapenos in the refrigerator. It allows them to get very cold. When I am ready to serve, I dip them in the eggs and milk mixture, roll in crushed corn flakes (crush them ahead of time so you are ready to go) and put them in the oven. This allows them to heat up nicely and let the corn flakes get a little brown and crunchy without letting the cheese melt out of the jalapeno all over the pan. Tagging songbird and winogirl
