I know I'm not the only one with a pet who can sleep weird. This is Lyric the other night (3.5 months old)

Mine has to sleep plastered up next to me. If I move, he rolls into the empty space I created and I end up falling off the bed for half the night.

My dog sleeps wedged up next to me under the blanket.

My Wheaten is a back sleeper too and her preference is with both front legs straight out over her head. She looks like Superman trying to fly.

My dog loves to sleep on her back, paws in the air. It's so goofy!

One of mine sleeps belly up, it's a sign they feel safe and secure.

One of mine is a back sleeper too. He's always sprawled out. The other sleeps in her bed curled up with her face on the low side of the bed.
Of course when we're on the couch together, the female comes and stands staring at me until I lift my blanket so that she can get under against my leg and get the blanket tucked around her.

One of mine sleeps with one of her front legs draped over her eyes. Most of my cats sleep curled up in their little nests they have, but periodically they do enjoy a good stretch, it is everything I can do to stop myself from going over and kissing their little outstretched paws though!

I literally JUST snapped this picture of Tucker. He sleeps in all kinds of odd positions, but I always chuckle when he's so desperate to both snooze and be next to us that he wedges himself between us on the sofa and falls asleep like this: Makes working on the computer a little challenging.

My dog has all kinds of weird positions he sleeps in, but he always starts out snuggled up to my side. He has to touch me, even if it is just with his paw. He used to get up and follow me when I went to the bathroom at night. Now he just scoots over and lays in the warm spot I just vacatated.
My cats like to sleep curled up - on me. I woke up one morning a few months ago and I felt like I couldn't breathe. I was on my back and had the dog curled up and laying on my chest, right under my nose. The cats were laying on top of me in a line up, starting just after the dog and going all the way to my feet. All four critters were contentedly sound asleep and must have been there for a while because I could hardly move when I did get up. My knees were stiff from being pushed down for so long, and with the fattest cat too.

Dd's corgi sleeps with her broad, flat back on the floor and her stubby little legs straight up in the air - it's hilarious! My westie is a much more dignified sleeper - she sleeps belly down

Bob our American bobtail, (in profile pic) sleeps flat on his back constantly. I should get a photo of him like that. He's more like a dog to start with so not a great surprise to us. It was very funny the first few times, now we're just used to it.

Riker sleeps curled up, between DH and I, touching both of us. Sometimes he's on his side, plastered against me, with his feet touching DH. He wants to be touching us though.

Under the covers, on his back, pressed up against my leg. And he growls if I dare to move and disturb his sleep.

Pets are so funny. They make me laugh everyday. One of my dogs sleeps with his feet in the air (or on his side), the other just sleeps on her side.

Exactly what my Pearl does to me.I have a gel top bed, that I hate, and it creates a gully she can fall into if I get up to use the bathroom. I stick a pillow in my spot to save it for me. She sometimes sleeps with her legs straight out and poking me.Good thing she is cute.

She's a staffordshire bull terrier.
