I just popped onto the school website to check out my kids grades. Straight A's. Oh. My. God. For those of you with boys (and girls) who just never seem to get things done. You know they are capable. You know they are smart. You know they can do it. IT CAN HAPPEN! It's his senior year. Maybe a little late to dazzle the academic world. His grades were always passing, but not dazzling. Sometimes barely passing.... But I guess we will go out on a high note! He's a great kid and always has been. Kind to everyone, friends to all, and a hard worker. Seeing his grades like this really does make me feel good though! There is hope.

I have to say that in 9th grade my son just clicked, we struggled with the homework, turning it in all of that. And then a light bulb went off, he started to take control of his own work. He did not get straight A's, so congrats to your son! But he became responsible.
Great job, to your son!

Congratulations. Yes, I had one of those kids that I knew 'could' get excellent grades, but chose to just get by, except for the classes he really had an interest in, such as automotive and agriculture. Now he says he could kick himself for not taking school as seriously as he should have because he knows he was capable of much better than his high school transcripts show. He was on the Dean's list in college, but still wishes his effort had reflected his ability. So...I totally get how excited you are!

Good for him! Good for you for instilling good study habits! Good for him for having good teachers who taught him the value of an education! You are beaming and it shows!

His last report card was all As. I had to look twice to be sure it was his report card. The teachers love him. I get compliments all the time. His Biology teacher told me she loved having him in her class, because he would ask questions that would go much deeper than the material required. Bless her, she tried to inspire him. But, she told me her daughter was just like my son. She felt he would come out of this with college, like her daughter. I hope so.
