I'm confused, is tonight's episode a repeat of the Christmas Special?

I'm confused, is tonight's episode a repeat of the Christmas Special? I don't think so...my DVR says Series premier.

Love this show and I'm so happy there is another season. With the way last season ended I was sure that was the last one.

Tonight is the new season premier. Thankfully it's on before TWD so I can record both.

I'm enjoying I so far. I think they are doing just fine without Jenny. The latest episode, with the husband arrested for "indecent behavior" was so heartbreaking.....gosh!
What are you thinking so far?

The husband one was heartbreaking but I thought the previous one, with the little boy trying to take care of his sisters, was a lot more so.

I'm really enjoying it this season also. I don't miss Jenny nearly as much as I thought I would.
I bawled my eyes out at the couple who lost one of their twins. So sad....

I'm pleased to say I don't really miss Jenny either. I like the new characters, though I've only watched the first two episodes.

I enjoy the show! What a nice way to end a weekend.
One thing I really appreciate is the way they touch on sensitive social issues (homeless families, homosexuality, prejudice) without getting "preachy" or trying to resolve and fix the issue in one episode. Last week's episode was a great example. I can imagine that couple will face many more issues going forward, but we just get a glimpse into how they lived.
Social thinking was quite different in the 1950/60's and the writers just show how it was without a modern day politically correct slant.

I'm really loving this season too, and don't miss Jenny at all. I think the characters they've added fill in nicely and the stories they've shown are so heart touching-what a wonderful series this is! It just seems to be getting better and better-which I didn't expect it to-what a nice surprise.

The husband one was heartbreaking but I thought the previous one, with the little boy trying to take care of his sisters, was a lot more so. That WAS heartbreaking. After I saw that episode, I had to google the Australian orphanages--not good at all. I kept hoping that the doctor and his wife were going to adopt them or something.

There was a movie made about this topic called Sunshine And Oranges. Sad stuff.
