My husband and I are driving from east coast to Chicago to visit daughter. We'll spend overnight in Cleveland. I was wondering if we should tack on another night there and visit the Rock 'N Roll Hall of Fame. Have you been there? What is good about it? Can it be missed or as a 60 yr. old is it something I'll really enjoy? Thanks.

As a former Ohioan whose dad still lives there, the R&R HoF is well worth the visit. According to my dad (who has been there), it has a lot of interactive displays (with music, of course) as well as a lot of rock music history, stories, memorabilia, etc. It's on my list of things to see/do when we're in that area again for a visit sometime. Disclaimer: have not been there myself, but I trust my father's opinion - he loved it even as a non-musical person!

DH and I enjoyed it. We spent much more time there than we originally intended to.

I would definitely go. However, I don't have first hand experience since I have never been there.

I drove all the way from Florida to go and I would love to go again! You can't take pictures in parts of it though.
Edited to add that The Christmas Story house is in Cleveland and not too far from Rock and Roll hof. Its worth a stop for pictures (it was closed when I went) but we did take pics outside the house.

What a timely question. I'm from MI and my family just left The Rock and Roll Hall of fame about two hours ago! We loved it. It was an overnight trip for us

My 30 year old co-worker and her bf just came back from there and they were surprised by how much they enjoyed it! I would go if I had plans to be in the area!

I went for the first time last night. I read that you should plan 4-5 hours and we were there about 4 hours. I loved it...very informative and nostalgic.
The 2 special exhibits were great. I loved the Paul Simon area which is temporary. And there was a herb ritts photography exhibit on the top 2 floors.
A baby boomer would totally enjoy almost everything. My 17 year old wasn't too excited.

I have been 1x, and liked it. I'm 50ish. I was with a bunch of teen kids, and would definetly have enjoyed it more without them! ha. So yes, would like to go again.

Definitely! And the A Christmas Story House is just a few miles away, too...another awesome take while in that area. We can't wait to go back next summer.
