Many of you purchased the Secret Garden coloring book or one similar. I have seen in the original thread that some will use colored pencils, Crayons, markers, etc. I am going to use both of the following: *Lyra Polycolor colored pencils *Watercolors with waterbrush (probably will use this most) So, what are you or will you be using?

I've been reading the thread and thinking back to colouring those pictures many years ago and I used fine nib felt tip pens then which is what I fancy using again I think. Still mulling it over though

I also use sharpies and Bic markers with thin points. Also my Copics. I use a sheet of cheap Walmart cardstock behind each one I'm working on and hold it in place with paper clips. Sometimes I like the bleed thru better than the original front!!

I just checked online and my local Barnes and Noble store has one in stock! YAY! I put it on hold and am going to pick it up. I've always loved coloring and toyed with the idea of these so-called grown up coloring books. Thanks for nudge. My kids make fun of me for playing with pretty stickers in my planner, I may as well give them something else to laugh at me about. __________________ Updated: I just got a call from Barnes and Noble that the book was sold out and the online information was incorrect. I went ahead and ordered THIS BOOK from Amazon.

Yes, I'd like to know more about your watercolors in your Bible, Patter! Watercoloe pens? Paints?

I think I'm just going to steal my daughters' stash of colored pencils. I'm sure they're all Crayola brand. I'll probably keep an eye out for that Staedtler brand that someone mentioned, though.

I posted in the other thread that I ordered a box of 50 Crayola colored pencils, because they were cheap and got some very good reviews. I'm actually taking a trip today to a strip mall that has a Hobby Lobby AND a Barnes & Noble (My Happy Place!) to see if I can get more instant gratification

I have some Prismacolor colored pencils (at least I think I still have them stashed somewhere!) and plan to use them before investing in anything else. Just want to make sure I enjoy it an actually do spend time coloring before I spend more $$. I do think I'll really like it though.

pencilsI bought the pencils and the pens the author recommended. I ve been doing some youtube videos on colored pencil blending and shading techniques. I could kick myself for giving my son my full set of prism pencils and full 120 marker set that I use to use for scrapbooking. He put them to good use I guess, but now i have to rebuy!

That is where she begins to watercolor. www.illustratedfaith.com/stephanie-ackerman-handlettering/

I loved her colorful tabs on her Bible too. Fun ideas to tie scripture and creativity together! I'm not sure why I never thought about that before! I just use a regular ol' pen to write and underline scripture. This is going to be fun!

I bought a doodle book from the Getty museum a couple of months ago. It's not as nice as that book from the other thread, but it was decent. I just use mechanical pencils with regular lead. I Practice shading while at work meetings. I would love to use tons of color, but that might border into extreme unprofessionalism.

I will mix it up with using gel pens, my crayola twistables, crayons (daughter just bought me a really nice set), and my prismacolor pencils. I really want to get me a set of those copics they are very cool looking.
