These skits have "ruined" Dateline for my husband and I. We're too busy making the sound effects Bill Hader does and cracking up about how realistic the parody is to take the show seriously.

I enjoy watching these shows too and set my DVR to watch later. I only watch them during the daytime because I live alone and I get spooked if I watch them at night. LOL

Yes I love those 2 hour investigation shows, unfortunately I think it's on Friday nights and I'm often not home then. I also enjoy getting on facebook to discuss the show on dateline's page. lol

I call it my "watching murdering women" marathons.
My husband calls my marathon watching my "getting ideas" time.

I watch them--have loved The 5th Estate since I was a kid! I also read a ton of mystery novels. I've teased my dh that he should probably be nervous that I know hundreds of ways to do away with him, lol!

Love these shows! I love Cold Justice, those women are great on cold cases and so very compassionate.

I'm a serious addict of crime stories. (I started reading Ann Rule when I was like 12, lol.) The minds of criminals is fascinating to me and the process investigators go through to catch them fascinate me even more. L Same for me, Ann Rule is my favorite author. And yes I do tape and watch a lot of true crime shows. Same here. I have read just about every Ann Rule book. I've been recording Dateline and 48 Hours for years. City Confidential was my favorite but I don't think it's on anymore. OWN has a lot of Datelines on too.
