My nephew is being confirmed next weekend. We won't be able to attend; they live in Ohio. We gave him a nice gift for his first communion, but I would like to just send him a check for this. Is that okay? (I am not Catholic!)

Money is a gift that would be a great gift.

My sons (happily) received money for confirmation from their Catholic uncles.
